Without the Catholic Church there would be no Protestant Church therefore your contradictory beliefs would have never existed, therefor this website would not have been started and you would have never said what you said.....;)

Get it....The butterfly effect :):):)
That butterfly effect would be cute if the romanists weren't such militants.

Because what?
They are Christians...like it or not .
This is a Christian Site ( well at least by name it is..but attitude it doesn't show very much :D )

I think they are good for us...it mixes up the wood pile. :)
And after all, what on earth would the anti-Catholics have to post about , and who would they post too.....if the catholics weren't here ? :D

Anyone who really wants to stir something up is usually able to find something. What was it that Solomon wrote?

"Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity." Ecc 12:8

Love your neighbor
Find a job you love

Eat, drink, and be merry......

Your statement is cute....but not well thought out.

Are you talking about militants like Luther and Calvin???

Phoneman is an encyclical scholar
I, nor anyone else, don't need to be an "encyclical scholar" to read and understand when Pius says "the Mystical Body of Christ and the Roman Catholic church are one and the same thing"...

...he means to say precisely just that - that the entire international, worldly, global, planetary, interstellar, sun-orbiting, universal Body of Christ - and not some insignificant priestly order or rite - is one and the same thing with the Roman Catholic church. Why can't you guys just admit your error and accept that if a pope uses "Roman Catholic church" to refer to the Roman Catholic church, it should be good enough for us Protestants to do likewise?

I think you mean to say "without the Catholic church committing apostasy, there would have been no Protestant Church...because the reason why men began protesting against the Catholic church was because they had gone totally off the rails with things like selling forgiveness for sin (even advance forgiveness for sins you were planning to commit at a later date). That issue is where Luther started his protest, and rightly so...

...unless you really believe Johann Tetzel's 16th century claim that was noised about everywhere that his horse drawn wagon would carry him - that the Roman Catholic church has the authority to sell forgiveness.

Nope - because I was aware of Pius XII's use of it and understand the context.
YOU don't.

Now - can you explain to me why this has NOT been used since - and WHY is it not considered an official title of the Church?
I'm not calling you a liar - but words can't express how absolutely certain I am that you've never seen Pius use "Roman Catholic church" in that Encyclical before I showed it to you.

And even if this is the only case, and you seem very certain it is (though you were just as certain before that only Protestants had ever used that reference when referring to the Roman Catholic church until I proved you wrong), it's a set precedent.

If you do, it will be the same way as all of us... By the mercy of the ONE who judges us...

Take care how you judge therefore, ' by the measure you measure...'

Pax!
Then why did the Papacy curse Wycliffe, who loved Jesus, to an eternity in hell and dig up his bones and burn them? Or, why was Luther condemned as a heretic? Or those born Protestant like the French Hugenots, the Waldenses, the Albigenses, the Lollards, or the countless others who were cursed as well and hunted like animals by Papal authorities?

This idea that you Catholics are promoting - that we who reject the authority of the Papacy are in no spiritual danger - just doesn't square with the past, present, and future idea held by the Papacy concerning those who reject Papal authority.

Nope.....didn't mean to say that. I say what I mean and mean what I say.

But thanks for your un-invited anti-Catholic venom.

But do tell....
when Luther wanted to remove 7 books from the bible was that a legitimate "protest" against the RCC or against God???

Since when is historic truth "venom"?

Luther as well as the rest of the Protestant faithful had to overcome a thousand years of the darkness of the Dark Ages - when the Papacy withdrew the Lamp of God from the faithful. To God be the glory that the confusion only lasted as briefly as it did.

For Papists to condemn Protestants for hitting post-Dark Ages hermeneutical speedbumps after a thousand years of Papal-orchestrated Biblical darkness is just plain unfair, unreasonable, and frankly incredulous.

Besides, Luther eventually got it straight, unlike the Papacy which to this day is still granting "indulgences" even after being schooled by Luther 500 years ago.

First, tell me.
Are you affiliated in any way with the Knights of Columbus?View attachment 3354
Lets take a look at what those crazy anti-Christian women from K of C women's auxiliary 7672 in Florida are doing.....
Quote from their website: The Ladies Auxiliary provides the opportunity for wives of Knights of Columbus members to come together in fellowship GASP with the primary goal of providing organized assistance to the Saint Francis of Assisi - Knights of Columbus Council 7672. The organization provides the opportunity to form friendships Nooooo....not friendships isn't that un-biblical.....and serve Christ by serving our church and our community.....WHAT??? they want to serve Christ AND their community.....AND THEY ARE CATHOLIC.....This must be a joke???? Catholics don't do that.....

Oh goodness Rollo Tamasi...I MARYMOG sure would hate to be AFFILIATED with those women.....:)
