@Mayflower Lovely, that is so cute ... :)

Yes this is an "anything goes" thread...but your photo reminded me of another thread which is going strong and FUN.. You would like it too, when the Forum is going slow...which happens. LOL

The other one has lovely photos like yours here....you could also post your photo on there too.....many people are that one...but not many people are on this thread.. So..
Check it out too.... :)

Good Morning !

Hi Helen,
I am on a break, the whole family left, in 3 different cars, vans, etc.
Base Ball games.
If it were just one game I would have gone.....
But each of them have 2 and the time in between ? we do not know for sure.
So I stayed home and am cleaning up, washing dishes........ and sweeping floors.
With a family of 8 children , lots to do.
4 boys and 4 girls...... the older one is graduating next month. She is 18.
the last two girls are 8 years old...... Two girls are now driving.... and the older boy will
be soon , he even bought him self a truck......
I have a few things to do yet, so before our church [ we watch it on the computer ]
is on........ I will finish, so I can have lunch when done and take a nap..
I was up early as every day....... any time between 5 am and 5:30 am...
So how are you doing ? how is the weather ? today.....

@Grams

Good post...
So, if your oldest grandchild there is 18 then your daughter in law has eight kids under 18! Wow!
Any twins in the pack? :)

When I was at school I had a friend who had many brothers and sisters.
But her mum has a single child first, then twins, then another a single child, then more twins, then herself...so seven kids with two sets of twins. It was a fun family! :D

Oh great , got it!! :)

We had my mom and and dad live with us for over a decade...it was lovely..we had lots of fun...we all got on well. Both gone now. I miss them greatly
I really can't imagine living with either of my daughters or their husbands ..
Eeeekkk I would hate it..and I am sure they would make me feel "in the way".
Their personalities wouldn't blend with our... and one son in law I don't get on with and we don't even live together!!!! ( Christmas and Thanksgiving is enough overlap for me!! )

My own mum and dad were amazing.
Your family sound like fun too.
And much better than being in some care home. :)

FB_IMG_1531714086840.jpg Awwww love to hear about happy families. :) We are mainly close to our church family. But I have an older sister and brother who live in Texas (we live a 1000 miles away in another state), and my hubby's mom lives in Texas now. My cousins lived here, but they moved back to Texas also. I couldn't imagine ever moving back to Texas, because we just love our church and everything, but we really should visit our family more often instead of every few years.

But we have our first little girl and she is a joy. Everyone says she is the happiest baby they have ever met. This was at her Dedication. She is 9 months now, but she was 3 weeks old here

Hi Helen,'
My husband was the best ! I really believe I had the best.
He knew his time was about up and he talked to our son, [I did not ask, I am guessing.]
that we move in with them, he even told him he would pay for the house to be
raised to have another floor , he knew 8 children would also need more room.
and in a short time , he passed away....... only a month and a half.
[My husband never complained about any thing to me.]
This son lives in Michigan, the other children are in Wis. and Ga. So my husband did not
want to travel...

I was just out side to watch the children in the pond, my daughter in law was all ready
there watching the children, the 8 year olds need to be watched .... and its fun seeing them
all have fun.
But the heat has all ready started and even in the shade its to warm, the breeze
is very little...... so I came back in after 5 min.
Complained over and over about the winter , being cold....... now its time for the heat ? I guess.
I thought out in the farm area were there are open field, it would be cooler in the summer, but
its not.
And of course its "colder" in the winter nothing to stop the winds.

Lovely baby @Mayflower ...very pretty little girl.
My first baby was also content and always happy. She ate and slept well.
I thought it was my wonderful nurturing. :D

But I soon learned that was not the case...my second one never stopped crying, wouldn't eat well, and always cried half the night.
....so nothing to do with how I raised them...but everything to do with personality!! :D

Now they are both well into their mid 50's...and a great joy to my husband and myself.
As are all the grandkids. :)

@Grams
I guess being in an 'open space' you have no breaks from the winter winds or much shade for summer.

Your grandkids seem to be having a lovely summer there.
I don't enjoy the extremes of either cold or heat...
My roots are in England...so we didn't have many extreme weather patterns there. But I did miss the sea.

Im not sure I know what that even is?

If it's a photo, why not post it on the PHOTO THREAD where the others put their photo's?

Hey Grams! If you click on that lovely blank box of you at the top and go to avatar, you can upload an image file from your phone.

Oh got it! Right.
You have to have a photo first..ready.
Then click on your profile where it say 'Grams'
That will take you to your profile page.
Then click on the white blank where your photo should be.
It will say " Choose File" ( that means the photo that you have ready.)
Click " Choose File" and your photo Jpeg number will probably show there.
Click it.
You will probably see somewhere where it says " save changes" or something like that. Click that.

Ask one of your grandchildren...they will probably do it in half the time. :D
