I have a wood stove for heat. It is a cold winter night so today I put a pot of brown beans on the stove. Two birds with one stone. Bread and Ritz crackers on the side.

Well, being southern we do call it supper, not dinner. We had home made beef vegetable stew and an apple pie for desert.

I am trying to get some weight off after this long long winter...so today was just salad and chicken. Oh, and a couple of rice cakes.

@Grams are you in this thread too? It would be fun knowing how the meals are in your big family

I think I am just going to give up trying to pulls some pounds off...it's much too much hard work.
I just enjoy eating too much

Gonna go get a Crispy Chicken Club Salad with bacon from BK, bring it home, and add my own stuff to it (more lettuce, a fresh tomato, a lot of sharp cheddar). Feed my face like a rabbit.

Then it's back to red beans and rice and sausage tomorrow (I still have three bowls left, and I did a good job this time).

Trouble is, We have a grand daughter getting married in 5 weeks.
I thought I would pull my "winter weight gain" off ...but it hasn't worked, because it has been a slow coming "summer"...still waiting.

Also, I bought the outfit back in October before the winter ...but now I am 9 lbs heavier than when I bought it!!

That's funny.
I used to be a perfect size 8 till I was about 40.
When I stopped being a perfect size 8, I'd still buy that size thinking I'd be able to get back into it.
