Isn't it interesting how Jesus says he is Lord of the Sabbath? Do you think that statement might be connected to the fact that he was the creator? I wonder if in giving his commandments at Sinai He might have had a blonde moment and didn't really mean the fourth commandment? at least not for later rotations of the earth around the sun?

And isn't it interesting that the description 'Lords Day' even though we all know which day Jesus was referring to when he said he was Lord of the Sabbath has been hijacked and transferred to the first day of the week. Yes, Jesus was resurrected on the first day of the week but is this a justified reason for calling it the Lords Day? Could we not also call the sixth day of the week the Lords Day with the justification that he died for our sins on that day? And what makes us think that the disciples gathering on the Lords Day didn't mean the seventh day?

It is men who have played and twisted Gods words. It is men who place emphasis where emphasis is not intended. It is men who attempt to make God appear fickle by changing his mind even though he says I do not change unless of course we think he is subject to blonde moments.
It is men who have substituted the commandment of men for the commandments of God using Gods own words to justify their rebellion because that is what sin is, the transgression of the Law.

Smoothly packaged violation of context is what Jesus warns us to be a look out for. 'don't be deceived, I have told you in advance'.

Im not any way 7th day associated, however the 4th commandment lives, and was a part of the early church who met at the temple to be taught on the Sabbath, seen as continuing in God's grace.

Are you saying you follow the church in obeying man rather than YHWH? If you believe Constantine moved the Sabbath to Sunday and that the real 7th day Sabbath commandment remains alive today, then why aren't you "associated" with it?

BTW, these two examples would not be transgressions in YHWH's eyes under the Old Covenant. Neither picking and eating grain or healing were forbidden on Sabbath. Those were just interpretations of the Jews. In other words, these were not unique outpourings of grace, but corrections of erroneous thinking.

I do my clothes washing, house cleaning, car fixing, etc on Sunday the Popes day.

Roman Catholicism followed the law of Roman Emperor Constatine, after all it was Constatine who built St. Peters basilica in Vatican city, it was Constatine that established the Popes seat, and used his civil power to carry out punishment of those that opposed his newly formed State Church in Roman Catholicism.

My main concern is still just the fact that a commandment has been changed.

I don't watch TV in general, don't like the Liberal Programming.

I believe in God. I believe in His son Jesus Christ and I believe in the Holy Spirit. I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. If God says to me "if you love me, keep my commandments" then that is what I will do. If everyone would just listen to God and take His advice there would be no problems in this world. Ten Commandments! Only ten to make this whole world go around and yet we cannot even do that. Oh, we can keep some of them, maybe even nine, but ten!? No way, that doesn't suit my lifestyle. No way, that was nailed to the cross. Any excuse not to do the Will of God. The fourth commandment is the longest and most important commandment of all because it is God's seal of authority. Every legal document is stamped with a seal reflecting the name of the authority, the title and the jurisdiction of that authority. ie. Elisabeth 11 Queen of England, Donald Trump President USA.

I have been reading allot of posts on different threads, and to be honest, replying to some of them is exhausting as they can be very long and sometimes I think, a bit over my head...I just love the simplicity of the Living Word. The freedom we have in Jesus and the fact that nothing could ever separate us from his love or snatch us out of His hand! I truly am enjoying the different view points!

I would have to disagree with this statement simply because:
Matthew 22:36-40 36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: "'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Oh I am right with you , concerning long, long , yawn, long posts.
I actually won't read them. I get about a third of the way through, then skim the rest. If people can't keep their posts readable, then I opt out.
I never read loads and loads of scriptures either.
Why they can't just says- " As Paul's says, or As Jesus says.." or just quote the chapter and verse ..
They flood loads of scripture as if we don't all READ or KNOW our bibles!!!
( so be warned when writing to me!!! )
