Our thought begin in the soul, that would be our mind.
Taken, I'M not calling the mind the soul. I posted a diagram for you. What more could I do??
I've learned from those who know, I don't know who YOU have learned from. Maybe the Holy Spirit.
You say I've learned from men...what are you? A man..and yet you have your very own ideas. I'll learn from theologians.
What do you think 1 Corinthians 2:14 is talking about??
Read post no. 2252Those claims are fallacies.
Here's my situation:
I've been married a really long time.
Got married when I was really young.
Everything worked out great.
Two kids, great. Both married.
5 grandchildren.
I don't even smoke, let alone do heroine. It was just an extreme example.
You say things that don't sound like mainline Christianity. I'm not saying you're not Christian or anything like that,,,just that you speak a different language than I do. Many times it's the language that creates a problem understanding a person.

And it's not the first time I've heard this.
Well, we have some here who say they never sin,Who are these people, I'll set them straight.
LOLI understand a bit more....well I do admit when I am speaking about my spiritual condition it seems unhelpful to you. I also see some of your words a little ambiguous or defensive in nature on this subject, and therefore I do not know how to speak about being saved to you....maybe, eventually some one here or myself will spill out words that give you a 'eureka' moment.
God Bless,
APAK
Well, we have some here who say they never sin,
And we have those who say we could not lose our salvation even if we return to a life of sin.
Neither is true.
Concerning 2 Corinthians 10:5;
Spirtual sanity, spiritual mind.
2 Timothy 1:7;
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self discipline."
This is how we take captive all our thoughts and put them in line with Jesus.
Depending on the man ... Both are true.
I never sin. I was forgiven of the sin of being born in sin. I was forgiven of the sin of corrupting my soul. I was given the gift of a restored soul. I was givin the gift of a born again spirit from an uncorruptable seed.
Do you know what uncorruptable means?
It means the Seed I was born again from is WITHOUT corruption, without Sin.
A corrupt seed produces a corrupt thing.
A incorruptable Seed produces an incorruptable thing.
There is NOTHING whatsoever I CAN DO that would give me ANOTHER corruptable seed.
I do not MAINTAIN the Seed.
I do NOt MAINTAIN not being able to Sin...
GOD DOES.
There is NOTHING I can do that is SIN.
What is this mysterious "life of sin" you talk about?
Identify it. Particularly since you are promoting it. What is this sin you speak of?
If you read the scriptures you're quoting, you'll find that they are referring to you after you die, not now.Depending on the man ... Both are true.

Right.Being without sin is impossible in this life time because it is impossible to love perfectly on earth all the time. I am sure we can love perfectly a times, but not every minute. Paul, who loved more perfectly than myself, admitted that not even he was able to consistently love perfectly, even though he knew better.
Right.
Paul also said that HE was afraid of not making it to heaven!
1 Corinthians 9:27.
THE prize , not a prize,,,,,The prize is heaven.
Yes, well, I knew you'd go here, which is why I mentioned that Paul spoke of THE prize, not one of the crowns. Is about the 5 crowns that believers receive or not receive in heaven. 1 Cor 9:25.

Right now you are corruptible.
On a mobile, sorry I can't do better right now.
Here is where paying attention is important....
Who said "without sin" ?
You are replying to me, and commenting on something I did not say.
