:) I have my own personal commandments as well. The third is this: Thou shall stay in thy lane with all your heat, with all your soul, with all your mind, with every hot damn fiber of your being, and the fourth is like, namely this: Thou shalt eliminate anyone willing to be foolish enough to not stay in their lane with extreme prejudice, in any way they deem fit or necessary, for once that line is crossed, the commandment to "love thy neighbor as thyself" becomes a commandment that is impossible to keep. These are my personal commandments for now, and I am sure there will be more to come as my time on this God forsaken, wretched hell hole of a planet goes on.

You seem to have forgotten that Jesus Christ was the one who told his apostles to arm themselves with swords.

(Luke 22:35-38) "And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. {36} Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. {37} For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. {38} And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough."

In light of this, when he said "turn the other cheek", he didn't mean just let anyone walk all over you like some chump. This isn't "unconditional love" we're talking about. That entire scripture is referring to not taking personal vengeance upon another person, because vengeance isn't mines, its the Lord's. If someone is a threat to your well being, at no point did Jesus Christ ever tell you not to deal with such threat by any measure you deem fit or necessary.

Do you see the word law there? At what point did Jesus ever say just let someone unlawfully take what belongs to you? What perverted "bible" are you reading that gives those who break God's law a pass? Do you realize you are making Jesus Christ out to be against the very law he was sent to fulfill? Blasphemy much?

Yep, a cloak that he sued for under a court of law....which means he didn't just take it from you. Love your enemies does not mean you love what they are doing. The teaching of forgiveness is actually to protect the faithful. Hate can be all consuming and cause you to become the very thing you hate. There is Wisdom throughout scripture which is to give comfort to the believer. Romans12: Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it' to the Wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine ,I will repay, says the Lord."

Repay your enemy with good. I know this all too well, and yet not as well as someone else may. Sometimes people can make it very difficult to leave room for God's wrath. Also, it is written that those who thirst for justice, will have their fill. So, to me it is clear the Lord is a God of pay back as well. It is difficult to let happen though.

Matthew 18:7 "Woe to the world for temptation to sin! For it is necessary that temptation come, BUT WOE TO THE MAN BY WHOM THE TEMPTATION COMES!

It is obvious the Woe is on those who provoke. God is a Righteous judge! Sometimes people can be provoked unrelentingly. This may cause them to do what they would never do otherwise. The woe is on the stone thrower. But the caution is given to the believer. It is better to leave room for God's wrath. Not easy, but better. His wrath is fully satisfying. Now are we called to turn the other check concerning ourselves, but defend the right's of others? Are we to come to defense of someone else?

Well it appears that enough people have chimed in. However, it wasn't even directed at you. It was intended to build upon the OP. I had several pages open, and when I finished writing my replies, I posted that one along with several others. You just happened to have replied in the meantime. Just as you shall notice, that I have finished my replies for the evening, and following this one, about every 30 seconds to few minutes or so shall I post another reply.

"And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one...and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?...And Jesus said...Thou knowest the commandments,...And he answered and said...all these have I observed from my youth...Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven:..And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions."

Is Christ telling Christians that we are to keep the Law and sell all we have in order to inherit eternal life and have treasure in heaven? How many believers here have done or do that?

No He is telling YOU to love one and other. To stop the horrible manner in which you speak to brothers and sisters, He is not telling you to sell everything. Your lack of love will be accompanied with a lack of understanding for as long as you dont love one and other.

He did. It is uncondictioanl love. You just never meet it yet.
