1Ch 16:10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
1Ch 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
1Ch 16:12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
1Ch 16:13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
1Ch 16:14 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

how does one seek God's face?

This is one question that's always thrown me for a loop, because God made it very clear to Moses that his face cannot be perceived.

(Exodus 33:20-23) "And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. {21} And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: {22} And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: {23} And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen."

well what proceeds from the mouth of God that all men live by? hence just what does the Almighty look like?

also just what does the Almighty look for in man that He would look to, and respond? didn't Jesus look for belief and faith and trust in Him? and didn't He respond? didn't Jesus say that if you saw Him you saw His Father?

anyway look to what God is in and through Christ and one should eventfully see the God of Israel. consider Judgement, Righteousness, Mercy, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, the truth, the way, the Life, love, faith, and hope. these are the things that are the likeness of the Holy One of Israel. therefore if they be His likeness then how does one seek out the face of God?

God has spoken in former day through Hid prophets. But has spoken through Hid Son in the latter day.
If you have seen me you have seen the Father Jesus said. You seek the face of God in the secret place where NO MAN CAN SEE YOU. Thats where you will find the face of God and no where else

Moses found favor in Gods Sight! Moses said if I have found Favor in your sight, then let me see your Glory, God placed Moses in the cleft of the Rock, and passed by him only letting Moses see Him from behind. And David was said to be a man after Gods own Heart, what is Gods Heart. To seek Gods Face, is a statement. Jesus said that no man has seen the Father except the Son, Jesus also said that If you have seen Me you have seen the father. Yet none of us have even seen Jesus as we would see one another, in the flesh. seek ye first the Kingdom Of God and all else shall be added unto you. In the end we will see God's Face, I would rather find Favor in God's Sight, or in His eyes, Because we would not be able to survive His Glory in the flesh. To seek His Face as we are now would be to enter into our closet and present out prayers on the alter of Incense, before the Ark, which is the Mercy Seat with our Savior at His Right Hand.

I can only speak for myself...but "to me"..when I 'seek God face'...I am seeking to enter into the felt presence of the Lord. Some times it is just quiet peace, other times it can be like waves of glory. That is the time and the place where I can experience God speaking into my heart.
( usually through scripture that He drop on me and 'opens-up' to me.)
Face to Face, to me is "heart to heart."

that's and excellent thought there ByGrace, He does see your heart or looks at you to your heart as thought it is your face to Him toward Him. but when you look toward Him what do you see? we are to keep our eyes on Christ, and then as John says it:

1Jn_3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

is the eventuality, though we may have to wait for it.

thing is, we are to seek His face, and therefore just what would you see? considering what God's Likeness and Image is.

for example: if one rejects His Righteousness, Judgement, and Mercy, then surely one will never see God's face.

I was just reading when the ark of the covenant was with the Philistines and they suffered for it, but when they did return it, in the town that it showed up in God wiped out over 53000 persons for looking into the ark. which is interesting because it seems to be that as you've mentioned seeing in the flesh is unacceptable, could be simply for the reason that the flesh at this time is still the place of sin, though Jesus has changed that to the next step.
