The Bible tells us that one can only believe in and follow Jesus IF they are blessed by God the Father to do so.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Romans 11:25
25 Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

John 6:44
44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:65
65 And he said "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

The Bible also tells us that spiritual blindness and deception are rampant in the world.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

1 John 2:11
But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

John 12:39-40
Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.”

Acts 26:18
To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

Deuteronomy 29:4
But to this day the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear.

2 Corinthians 3:15-16
Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.

Romans 11:8
As it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day.”

Romans 1:28
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Psalm 82:5
They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
And with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Ephesians 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

Matthew 13:16
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.

I believe that God detests pride in people and rewards the humble with faith.

Proverbs 11:12
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.

Romans 12:16
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.

James 4:6
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Luke 14:11
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Proverbs 16:5
Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.

1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world (Satan).

Psalm 25:9
He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.

James 3:13
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.

Proverbs 16:18-19
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. It is better to be of a lowly spirit with the poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Mark 9:35
And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

Psalm 10:4
In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.”

Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man (Jesus) came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Galatians 6:3
For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

Psalm 138:6
For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar.

James 4:14-16
Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

Fortunately, unbelievers can be blessed with faith if they humble themselves and sincerely seek Jesus.

Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

Acts 17:27
That they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us,

Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Talk to non Christians, they almost a,ways want to know how they can earn God's favour

To admit that one cannot deserve God's favour, that one has to say sorry to God and actually change.
That is humbling and takes honesty, courage and a degree of desperation to do.

Dear NotTheRock,
The verses you quoted are very powerful arguments for the complete power and sovereignty of God over His creation. I use many of these scriptures in my posts when I teach about the spiritual process that Christ uses to save an Elect person. In that process, Christ does 100% of the works. The person contributes nothing:

Rom 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Dan 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of the heavens, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

I also wanted to respond to your comments:

You said:

That is exactly 100% right. Salvation is truly a free gift from God. He leaves nothing up to chance or to a person's supposed free will ability. When God is ready to save a person, He will cause it to happen.

However, your other comments seem to contradict your first statement.

You said:

Yes, God detests pride in people but you must remember that God is the one who made mankind prideful in the first place. When God is ready to save a person, He will humble them.

If a person has godly humility, they have it only because Christ gave it to them. If Christ wasn't the source of their humility, the person would have something they could boast about concerning their salvation - and that would be a "work".

Did you know that the pathway to salvation is taught over and over again throughout most of Christ's teachings?

Paul's conversion experience is one of those teachings:

1Tim 1:16 Howbeit for this cause, I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

A great deal of detail is given to us in scripture about Paul's conversion which is a "type" that all the Elect will "hereafter" follow.

So the question is: Did Paul humble himself on the Damascus Road or did Christ cause Paul to be humbled?

To find the answer, let's look at what Paul said about himself prior to him becoming a follower of Christ:

Phi 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. 4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more 5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; 6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith...

Paul's conversion "type" begins with Paul traveling to Damascus to persecute Christians. At that time, Paul had no godly humility or intention of becoming a Christian himself. Paul was very confident in his own flesh (his own abilities) and hated Christ. However, all that changed for Paul when Christ suddenly came to his temple (Paul) and gave Paul the Early Rain of the Spirit.

Acts 9:3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly, there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecute thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecute: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

The verse below applies to what just happened to Paul:

Hos 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he (Christ) shall come unto us as the Rain, as the Latter and Early Rain unto the earth.

The Early Rain of the Spirit is what caused Paul to fall to the ground and humble himself to Christ. The Early Rain of the Spirit did not convert Paul but it did give Paul a "measure of faith" (Rom 12:3) so that he was willing to submit himself to Christ's authority. If Christ had not given Paul the small measure of the Spirit, Paul would have continued onto Damascus and nothing would have changed. But because it was Paul's appointed time to enter the church, Christ made it happen. And in just the same way, Christ will make it happen for everyone else when their time comes to begin following Christ.

The gift of the Early Rain of the Spirit is how the pathway to salvation begins for a person. The person has no "works" of any kind from which they can boast. Even their godly humility was a gift from God. Christ truly provides everything for our salvation. And because Christ came to save the world, it is a certainty that all mankind will be saved - but only at their individually appointed time.

In this age, Christ is only saving the people who have been blessed to be saved in the early harvest of mankind. They are the Elect and the first fruits of Christ's harvest of mankind. In the final age, Christ will bring in the final harvest of mankind. Only then will this scripture be testified to be true:

1Tim 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Does any of what I presented above make sense to you? Also, how much of the pathway to salvation do you understand?

I'm not doubting you my brother but can you back that scripturally, please? Thank you. Edit to add that I share your view but I would like to see a verse that directly makes that statement.

It all makes perfect sense to me. The truth that Jesus will be successful at saving ALL who ever existed was revealed to me by the Holy Spirit. I believe that most Christians are infernalists because they have not yet been blessed with that knowledge. They remain spiritually blind to that truth and that is why all of the scripture and logic in existence will not budge them from their fire and brimstone theology.

Dear NotTheRock,

Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

Ecc 1:13 An experience of evil God has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it.

God created mankind spiritually marred. The flaw in man is the weakness of his spirit. Because it is weak, the flesh governs it and causes it to have a carnal nature. Because of man's carnal nature, man puts his own needs over the needs of others and over obeying God. For this reason, mankind frequently sins. Pride is one of the attributes of mankind's carnal nature. Rom 1:18-32 gives a pretty detailed description of mankind which includes pride (v. 30).

Dear NotTheRock,
I am glad to hear that you believe Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. And you are right about the "infernalists". Their spiritual blindness has allowed Satan to deceive them with this heresy. The doctrines of Free Will and Hell are two of the most "perverse things" that the apostate churches of this world teach.

Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Since all new believers (babes) remain spiritually blind, carnally minded and unconverted after being given the Early Rain of the Spirit, scripture teaches that Satan via the spirit of anti-Christ will utterly deceive them. No babe since the death of Paul has avoided become apostate shortly after they were called to be a saint.

Consider what this scripture teaches about babes:

Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts (the converted Elect). 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue (spiritual language) will he speak to this people. 12 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they (babes who draw milk) might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

The truth of Christ's New Covenant teachings is concealed from everyone (includes babes) except the converted Elect. Christ conceals His truth by teaching it in another language. In this language, Christ uses spirit words (John 6:63) which carry meanings that are different from how mankind defines them (1Cor 2:13). He then uses His spirit words in analogies, types, parables and prophecies. But since each of His teachings do not present the full truth of the subject ("here a little, and there a little"), they must be combined with other portions of scripture which teach on the same subject. Then with the guidance of the Spirit of Truth, a person can assemble the truth and understand doctrine.

Until a babe is converted, they have very little ability to understand and receive the truth of Christ's New Covenant teachings. Mark 8:15-25 and Paul's conversion type teach this truth.

Because all babes will become apostate (even the Elect babes) after being given the Early Rain, they will all see the Abomination of Desolation (Mat 24:15) after they are given the Latter Rain of the Spirit. The Abomination of Desolation that they will see occurred within themselves when Satan indwelt them with his spirit (the spirit of anti-Christ). But since the Latter Rain of the Spirit (the baptism) will heal their spiritual blindness, the man of sin will be revealed to them and they will find that they were this man of sin. When this revelation happens, they will come out of Satan's deceptions and will repent of their works. Their repentance will make Christ's pathway straight for Him to appear. When He appears, the Day of the Lord will commence on the person and remove and destroy the man of sin from within them. After this judgment is complete, the babe will be converted and will become a "little child" in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I saw the Abomination of Desolation within me back in 2005 after having been in the apostate church for over 20 years as an adult. That was the day of my conversion and when the Lord harvested me into the Kingdom of Heaven.

This verse below applies to my day of salvation:

1Sam 12:17 Is it not wheat harvest to day? (day of salvation/conversion) I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and RAIN (Latter Rain); that ye may perceive and see (spiritual blindness healed) that your wickedness is great (have become apostate/man of sin), which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.

Since that time, God's Word opened up to my understanding and destroyed all the "perverse things" that had been taught to me by Satan's ministers in the apostate church. I now try to help others whom the Lord has made ready for the harvest.

My conversion testimony is posted on my website. There is a link to it under my member name if you care to read it.

Have you seen the Abomination of Desolation? It sounds like you have.

Hey Joe @FaithWillDo your post is brilliant, praise God. I don't know if I have seen the abomination of desolation.

I used to be a luke-warm Catholic. In 2016 I heard God's calling and began reading the Bible, listened to YouTube preachers, and visited online forums like this. I realized that the Catholic Church was NOT from God and that the vast majority of human churches were also not in alignment with Jesus. I'm 58 and don't attend any church.

Dear NotTheRock,
I am 64 now and was 44 when I was converted. After I was converted, I quickly left the church I was attending and never went back - and not just to that church but to any church. Paul was right when he said the wolves would not spare any of the flock. Since the end of the 1st century, all the churches have become apostate. They are full of babes who only have the Early Rain of the Spirit. In that condition, they are spiritually blind and have come under Satan's deceptions. Since all of Christ's Elect start off following Christ as a babe, none of the Elect have been spared from becoming apostate either. But because they are Elect, Christ will not leave them in that "weary" condition:

Psa 68:9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful RAIN (Latter Rain), whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance (heir of Abraham), when it was weary (in a fallen away condition).

For the Elect, He will come back to them a second time and pour out the Latter Rain of the Spirit. After He does, they will repent of their works and be restored to faith.

For the apostate babes who were called but not chosen (the "many", Mat 22:14), Christ will not return to them a second time. They will die in their sins and be resurrected to judgment. At that time, Christ will tell them "I never knew you" and cast them into the Lake of Fire (a symbol for judgment, not literal fire). But since Christ loves His enemies and blesses them, Christ will not omit justice, mercy and faith from their time of judgment.

Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Christ will have mercy upon them by giving them the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit which will give them the faith they need to be saved. Justice is satisfied by the death of the child of the Devil/Man of Sin (who they used to be). Joel chapter 2 presents this time of judgment.

To be saved, a person must be converted from being a child of the devil to being a child of God. Since the child of the Devil (all mankind) has sinned, all mankind is "condemned already" (John 3:18). Nothing can stop mankind from perishing. But because Christ loves mankind, He will freely give each person a new birth prior to them perishing. The Elect will be given their new birth BEFORE judgment falls on them. However, with the "lost" of the final age, their judgment will commence prior to their new birth. Because it does, the individual will experience wrath up until their moment of salvation. In the end, all mankind will cease to exist but the Kingdom of Heaven will be that much fuller.

As I said in an earlier post, most of Christ's teachings are presenting certain details of the pathway to salvation that He will cause His Elect to travel. Even Christ's end-time prophecies are teaching the pathway to salvation. They are not teaching about outward world events that only happen at the literal end of the age. When an Elect person is converted, they have had the "ends of the ages" come upon them:

1Cor 10:11 Now all these things happened to them as types, and have been written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come.

The pathway begins for an Elect person when Christ gives them the Early Rain of the Spirit. At this point, they begin their time of waiting for the Lord to return with the Latter Rain, followed by judgment.

Heb 9:28 So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

The time an Elect believer spends in between the Early and Latter Rains is a time of drought (Elijah's 3 1/2 year drought). This time is also represented by the last 3 1/2 years remaining of Daniel's Seventy Weeks prophecy. During this time, the believer will fall away and enter Satan's church which masquerades as the true church. For that reason, when Christ returns to an Elect person and heals their blindness, they will see the Abomination of Desolation and then come out from Satan's deceptions. From what you have stated, it really seems that this has happened to you.

If you care to know more about the pathway to salvation and all the different analogies, types, parables and prophecies that teach it, please give my website a try. My first paper entitled "The Great Mystery of the Church" will give you a good foundation of the pathway. It goes heavily into teaching the Early and Latter Rain concept. The paper is long though and is not a quick read.

If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to try and answer them.

YBIC,
Joe

The first section "A" is 55 pages and then there are 25 more parts, B-Z, correct?
Dear NotTheRock,
Yes, however, the B-Z papers are not in any particular order. I recommend that you start with paper A then move onto the papers that have titles that interest you. Some papers are very short but most are 10-20 pages long.

I hope you are blessed by what you read. They contain the bulk of what the Lord has shown me over the last 20 years since He gave me "eyes that can see".

I've been to OK City many times. It's just 3 hours from Ft. Smith.
