1. Nothing negative linked to Mary Magdalene.
Nothing negative is linked to Mary Magdalene? Be careful of how you say things. Mary Magdalene was healed by Jesus from seven demons (Lk. 8:2, Mk. 16:9). Furthermore, even after being healed from the possession of demons, Mary Magdalene remained a sinner, like all humans, except for a few, though she didn't commit sins to the degree that she did prior to. However, sin is sin, and all sin is negative. Let's get back to the real point of contention.
2. She tops every female list unless Christ mother is in the list.
Of course Jesus's Mother is on the list, and it's correct to say that Mary Magdalene was the greatest woman disciple aside from Her.
3. She financed Christ’s ministry.
4. It looks like she shared her home and Christ used it as a home base.
5. She and other female followers were at the cross with Christ when the Apostles were hiding.
6. Christ chose her to proclaim that He had risen to the Apostles.
Correct, and I cited those verses in my previous post.
If you told me of a vision that said Peter was a child molester…..I would not buy it either based on his deeds and character. Same goes for Mary Magdalene.
You said that it would've been "completely out of character" for Mary Magdalene to have been the unnamed woman in Lk. 7:36-50. So, explain why you say that Mary Magdalene, who was healed by Jesus from seven demons (Lk. 8:2, Mk. 16:9), and who you rightly say was the greatest woman disciple aside from Jesus's Mother, couldn't have been the woman, a well-known sinner (Lk. 7:39), repenting of her sins, and seeking forgiveness from Jesus in the house of Simon the Pharisee? (Lk. 7:36-50)
Now I do believe in visions and tongues but I try not to form my religion on them or let them override scriptures.
What does letting true visions from God override Scripture look like to you?
