The Meaning of Matthew 24:14: The Gospel Preached to the Whole World?
Love, Walter
Dear WalterandDebbie,
I will address what Mat 24:14 is teaching. However, it will be not be possible for you to accept what it teaches unless the end of the ages is coming upon you. I'll explain more about this reason below.
The spiritual message that Mat 24:14 is teaching is
very concealed. From what I am about to present to you, you will probably think I am
greatly mistaken. But I can tell you, I have 100% certainty on what I am about to present to you. If I wasn't 100% certain, I would not present it.
Matthew chapter 24 is a spiritual teaching of the New Covenant that teaches certain spiritual steps that lead an Elect person to their moment of conversion (end of the ages). The truth that it teaches cannot be understood by assigning meanings to Christ's spirit words as mankind defines them.
1Cor 2:13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things (words) with spiritual (words).
Christ spirit words carry their own meanings, so much so, that scripture says it is "another language":
Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? Them (the converted Elect) that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another language (spiritual language) will he speak to this people. 12 But the word of the LORD was unto them (babes who draw milk) precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken (by Satan).
To understand Christ's spiritual language, a person MUST be guided by the Spirit of Truth and compare each spirit word with how it is used elsewhere in scripture.
Because babes do not have the Spirit of Truth, they have very little ability to understand Christ's spiritual teachings of the New Covenant.
This truth is taught by
Paul's conversion experience (Acts 9) and by
Mat 12:43-45 and
Mark 8:15-25.
Now, concerning what Mat 24:14 is actually teaching:
Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
"
This gospel of the kingdom" is referring to Satan's "another gospel".
2Cor 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Satan masquerades as Christ to carnally minded babes and deceives them into accepting "another gospel" via "another spirit" (spirit of anti-Christ). When they accept Satan's false gospel, they will
fall backward, be broken, snared and taken.
Since Paul's death, all the babes in the church have become apostate. Since that time, nothing has changed. All new believers (babes) will likewise become apostate.
The spirit word "
world" is referring to
one Elect person who at that time is an apostate babe.
The phrase "
witness to all nations" is referring to Satan's gospel being fully accepted by all the beliefs (nations) of the apostate babe.
The full meaning of the verse is saying that after an Elect babe has fully accepted Satan's false gospel and has become apostate, they are ready for the end of the ages to come upon them (the conversion event).
When Christ comes to an apostate Elect babe to convert them, He will first pour out the Latter Rain of the Spirit which will heal their spiritual blindness. After they have "eyes that can see", they will "see" the Abomination of Desolation that previously occurred within themselves when the spirit of anti-Christ indwelt them.
Mat 24:15 When (not "if") ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
When the apostate Elect babe sees that they have become apostate (Abomination of Desolation), they will repent of their works and be made faithful again. After they are made faithful, the child of God will be born and gathered to heaven:
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the (great) tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
The "great tribulation" is a symbol for the time an Elect babe spends as a "man of sin". As I explained earlier, the sun and moon being darkened represents that the Elect person is no longer receiving their truth from Satan and the Old Covenant (the crooked way of man's works).
In Mat 24:15, the phrase "fleeing to the mountains" is a "type" that comes from the story of Lot. Lot is a type for an apostate Elect babe who is in the process of being converted.
When Lot flees to the mountains, it represents the new child of God being gathered to heaven (as Mat 24:31 presents) just before judgment falls. From that judgment, the man of sin will be destroyed (all the spiritual things within the person that has made them carnally minded and sinful). After this judgment is complete, the Elect person will be converted.
