As I said, "To the contrary..." : 1 Jn 3:23,24 continues iterating the doctrine Christ taught in John's Gospel when it says we will abide in Him if we keep the Command to believe in the Name of His Son and love one another (thus it's New Covenant doctrine, not Old Covenant, and not to Israel).

That said, because of my experiences, I am open to the idea that one could express the correct words, but not be defining them appropriately--ie, it may be that not enough emphasis is placed on "believe in the Name of God's Son" and too much is placed on "and love one another", such that the faith in the Name of God's Son is obscured/negated/denied.

You can SAY "we should believe in the Name of God's Son and love one another", and be correct, at least on paper, without ACTUALLY continuing in believing in the Name of God's Son, bc of (internally) overemphasizing "love one another". It's kind of troubling.
This overemphasizing of love one another is false if we examine it .
You are correct on paper one can say THE TRUTH and yet how they pratice it is false .
Can i prove their version is false . Yes . its easy .
If you take notice of this other version its love WILL NOT correct sins , Will not . Under the guise
its loving to Just overlook sin.
YET it is written
you shall not hate your neighbor in your heart , you shall in any way correct him and NOT allow sin upon Him .
The easiest way to examine if one truly has the LOVE of GOD
is , Is what they do and what they allow Actually HONORING GOD .
You see the greatest commandment is TO LOVE GOD , CHRIST above all .
Yet this other version seems to seek to please man , NOT GOD .
Our LOVE and our desire OUGHT to be to SEEK and to PLEASE HE WHO SAVED US
and from that love WE DO what honors HIM , we would truly love also our neighbor
By using TRUTH to always correct them . NOT lies , not feelins that overlook sins and errors , BUT TRUTH that exposes and corrects .
Doing all for THEIR sakes . SIN is not pleasing to GOD and SIN will do NO GOOD to those who are in it either .
Its real simple . WE need to realize WE OUGHT TO BE LOVING GOD above all , IF we did we had loved HIS WORDS of TRUTH
and by them words we can truly help our neighbor .

I invest effort in preparing responses,

Your entire Thread is a statement regarding your Theological Confusion, including the Title/Topic.
You posted it to reveal your confusion, and then instead of listening to someone who isn't confused, you just want to hear yourself talk, as your agenda is not to learn, its to just keep your Thread going, as you need the attention, @GracePeace ,
That's obvious.

So, you should invest your time in learning, ....... vs trying to argue your continuing confusion, just to keep bumping this Thread.

No, you falsely accused me of not wanting an answer, but, if you'd followed the discussion (you didn't), you would've known better than to "ask" that "question" (accuse me that way).

You have an idea you really are proud about, that you need to share, and put on a pedastal--this idea about how to read the Bible--so my counsel is that you go open a thread on it, bc I don't find it interesting or helpful for the purposes of this thread.

You disagree. You say "That's my answer!" I accept that that is your answer--I thanked you for your involvement, and I bid you adieu. What else do you want?
This is a problem because you interpret helpful suggestions and observations as an attack. Do you want to see a contradiction in the text so bad that you are unable or unwilling to hear counsel concerning your method of interpretation?

The seemingly conflicting ideas are not caused by any inconsistency within the text itself. Instead, they arise from the way you are interpreting and engaging with the material.
Indeed my dear friend . many read what few scrips they do read now , through the lens
of their pre learned doctrines of men . and that
is WHY they often do see and will see CONTRADICTION .
But had we read it for ourselves we would have seen the pure reconicilation of it my friend .
WE would have come to the understanding that no place contradicts the other
Yet men say tis impossible to learn that bible for oneself . THEY are lying to us my friend .
GOD is with the sheep . and thus the call to all is get back into JUST the bible for oneself
and enjoy reading it for one self . The understanding will come in time .

Due to my experiences, I couldn't / can't : I need to understand clearly what I'm doing and why I'm doing it (motive and intent--where it's coming from and where it's going).

You seem to be under spiritual attack and, unfortunately, the amateur debate team is piling on.

I'm praying for you, my friend.

Yup, I didn't start the thread to prove there was or is an issue with the text, but to ask how others have dealt with the issue (if they have).

You're not getting a crack at a new conversation. You haven't earned that. Finish the old one we were having.

All he can say is "You're reading it wrong", he doesn't even offer his alternative solution he reached by reading his new special way that everyone should be in awe of. How is that helpful?

Right, and I've addressed your "issue".
If you did, I didn't see it. All I saw was a dismissal, telling me that one's hermeneutical method wasn't crucial for this particular discussion.

It’s important to emphasize that without employing the appropriate hermeneutical method, truly grasping the meaning of a passage becomes nearly impossible. Simply taking two or more verses and comparing them without considering their context will inevitably lead to confusion and disappointment, making it a frustrating and unproductive endeavor. Understanding the broader narrative and underlying themes is essential for meaningful interpretation.

Your perspective that there seem to be contradictions within the text stems from an erroneous approach to interpreting the scriptures. This method may overlook the nuances and context necessary for a deeper understanding, leading to misinterpretations.

Again, either offer your solution or kick rocks : proposing a "tool" that will ostensibly be what helps me find a solution isn't offering a solution. If your method of reading solved the problem for you, in what way did you think it did that? You haven't explained that, you've simply stated "new way to read Bible, no problem". How?

The issue of immediate Justification at first Belief, or Salvation taking our entire lives by having to Keep the Law of God...I could
In a way, yes, and, in a way, no... bc I could always agree with Justification by Faith, but I also saw ongoing and ultimate Justification, and wondered how to practically (not just on paper) navigate those, bc one can negate the other.
