I need spiritual peace significantly and indefinitely

Please just pray God makes things extremely easy and pray I have spiritual peace, so that I am able to continue doing things I need to get done and I don't lash out on anyone, and pray my family and I will do well with no problems.

Our great affliction is the doubt that we are loved. We want some sort of an instant emotional fix while we maintain our doubt.
Security is seeing that which is not seen with our physical eyes.

I too suffer from these afflictions but then remember, 'be my feelings what they will, Jesus is my Saviour still'.....and as I focus and as I learn more of this, the insecurity, the self absorbed behaviour dissipates.

I was always taught to remember God's promises in God's Word for whatever situation. Try meditating on some of God's promises to you. Your mind can only think upon one thing at a time....so remember to meditate on the Scriptures, especially if you are troubled.

Also, remembering one's blessings will help.

I too needed spiritual peace, in a situation that I could never share.....at last I have it, Sis, only I had to hand it all over to God, ....at last” Peace”.......it wasn’t easy handing it all back to God....I’ve had to learn to do this....

It was awful at one time, it consumed me, I couldn’t concentrate and a lot of the time, my household chores were neglected, because I couldn’t let go of the situation......Praise God, that has all changed now.....praying that God brings you to realise that he is control...in Jesus Name....Amen.

Dear sister, God allows sometimes terrible things to happen to us when He could have intervened and stopped them. The Bible tells us to thank Him for all things and these things are included - radical acceptance of them and by no means do they show He does not love us.

In our modern times and distorted version of what it means to be a Christian, we often expect only benefits.

This is not the Christianity of olden times when they even desired to be martyrs.

It is hard but the blessings for this acceptance are immense.

When I feel I need that supernatural peace I just ask for it. I have a massive family crisis happening at present but I have that special peace.

Well I'm not dying but sort of.

I have to take care of a few things I haven't dealt with in life, and also, I feel like I should drive again.

I didn't have supportive people to help me drive when I was younger. They, in part, caused my anxiety. I dissociate.

The only thing that helps me tremendously with anxiety and dissociating also causes me to hear voices.

So, its like, do I just do really well and hear voices or do I not hear voices and fail?

I wish I could take the medicine that works for me and be fine. And I don't think that's spiritual, really, because it's so nonsensical.

If it’s any consolation, I didn’t either, my Father and Brothers said I was to thick to drive.


My ex taught me to drive, I must say that he was a great teacher and very patient...then I had a few lessons from a private instructor, then passed my test, first time.

You can do it ,Sis....I bet those darn lessons are expensive these days....

My ex would also take me somewhere quiet, and I would practice there....good luck.

Thank you, I signed up for an online course today for the written exam (not terribly expensive) but for the actual driving, Mr. Duck is the calmest person ever and so I'll let him refresh me. It's been a while.

This isn't related to what I am going through but I need to, because it will make me feel better. I need the confidence.

Your son is about that age now, right? BTW, your insurance company may give you a discount if you take a formal Driver's Ed course.

Our new daughter-in-law is also learning to drive for the first time relatively late in life. She comes from Europe where most cities have decent public transportation and you don't really need to drive. Here in America, or at least in North Carolina, you do.

Yes he is! We're not in an area that we need to drive really, but I just need the change.

Mr. Duck seems to think he'll do pretty good. I have gotten lucky with this kid.

I have never had to deal with typical teenage problems like drugs, smoking, girls (yet), or alcohol, so I feel pretty confident he has the ability to focus on whatever he needs to do without the usual distractions.

The answer to this is
There are many voices which speak . many voices indeed . some speak one thing some speak another thing .
The lips of men never fail to speak , nor does the mind ever cease to hear .
The question now is
Does the voice we hear CONTRADICT THE WORDS IN THAT BIBLE , OR DOES IT TWIST THE WORDS IN THAT BIBLE .
Ask not what comforts you and brings you peace
ask rather does what comfort and brings peace AGREE WITH or CONTRADICT the written words in scripture .
AND YE can know IF IT DO .
How so . if it contradicts other places , WELL it sure aint coming FROM GOD .

You bet its not related to what your going through . But the question is
and you need not to answer me but ask yourself
Is what I am going through
is what i am doing RIGHT or wrong in the sight of GOD .
Pray about this sister . and my advice is beware the lips of men and beware the trends of men and of society .
A very slippery slope indeed .
