Some of what DOGE is doing is going through outdated systems to update them with software, security checks, oversight reports, and stop duplicating accounts. Dashboards for how to evaluate various accounts.
Nobody in the government knew or could talk to anyone else inside of the government and many tasks were duplicated as a result.
In some situations creating software for systems that are still using paper.
And what's really crazy....
Congress has been given a pass on knowing or doing anything. Really....
They have not read a spending bill in 40 years.
They haven't read any legislation in so long I'm about sure they don't know how to read. They certainly are not drafting the legislation anymore....those $500-$900/hr attorneys in DC do that. (NGO)
Who can draft a 15,000 page budget bill, edit it, and then claim its perfect? I can't even read that sort of thing in a month....and I'm a fast reader. But the congress gets three days? DOGE has noticed out of date projects being funded by congress that don't exist anymore....like betamax VCRs and 8-track tapes. Sure there's a few running around from antiquity....but DVDs and digital files on flash drives or downloaded music are the norm these days. They are allocated the money but it doesn't actually get spent because the situations or things simply don't exist anymore like Blockbuster video stores.

Spot on. Bills stuffed with garbage, the Reps do not Read, but in their back room caucuses, are Told, what to vote on, Even what to wear, stand applaud, sit be silent, walk out. Pelosi should have been expelled for “in the House” telling Dems, vote Yes, (on what she wanted) that they can find out later, what the Bill says.
And true, they do not actually write the Legislation.
Fact is, the Elected Reps have A Very FEW Constitutional Duties, and spending the Day Phone begging Money from Deep pockets for their Whims and Promise of Favors to “donors” is NOT one of their Constitutional Duties!
It is as well, an interesting note, Dems, live in Secluded Gated communities, Walls around their homes, Arm guarded Barricaded Offices…YET… Do not want the Nations Borders Secure for the Peoples Protection, and Want the Peoples Armed personal Protection illegal.
Hypocrites, Cheats, Liars, Thieves and Proud of their hard work to accomplish those things with a legislative pen oozing with poison ink.
