There is a difference in the preaching of Peter and Paul in regards to the resurrection and salvation.

The church today, the Body of Christ, is to follow Paul and his doctrine and commandments. Peter preached as he was taught by Christ during his earthly ministry and while we can learn from Peter and the other apostles, we are not required to do, obey nor apply all they taught.

THE RESURRECTION:

[Act 2:30 KJV] 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

The twelve preached Jesus raised from the dead to sit upon the throne of David (Luke 1:32).

[Rom 4:25 KJV] 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Paul preached that Jesus was raised for our justification unto eternal life.

SALVATION:

[Act 3:19 KJV] 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

The twelve preached the forgiveness of sin and salvation for the believing nation of Israel at the coming of Christ ( 1 Peter 1:5 1 Peter 1:7).

[Eph 2:8 KJV] 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

[Rom 5:11 KJV] 11 And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Paul preached salvation now by faith in the shed blood of Christ.

why the difference did the 12 make a mistake, should not the message be the same since all of them follow Jesus?

I am not being flippant or sarcastic but if you read my post Peter and Paul say different things so that's why they are different

Of course they all follow Christ but Christ has given different messages

Hi Doug, to establish the truth you need reference points;

I will give you the 2 main ones by which you MUST compare all scripture and I mean all!

1- GOD does not CHANGE!

Malachi 3:6

“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”

Hebrews 13:8

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

James 1:17

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

2-Jesus was given ALL authority in heaven and on earth! his words are paramount they are the direct words of GOD!

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.’”Matthew 28:18 NKJV

This means that if you compare any writings, the MUST align with the fact that GOD does nor Change and that the Words of Jesus are true and absolutely certain.

if you find a verse that deviates or seem to deviate from what Jesus said or seem to have a different meaning (CHANGE) from what God intended it is either false of the verse is not understood correctly.

All things in the bible Must align based on the 2 reference points mentioned, I can elaborate further if you wish.

this is what I mean when I say there is only one truth, that truth is the word of GOD and not of Men. If you follow the words of Jesus you will never make any mistakes, of this I am certain.

Peace brother.

It is true God does not change his character.....he remains just, righteous and holy
But it is an error to say that means God does not change what he is doing or commands

couple examples

compare
[Luk 9:3 KJV] 3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for [your] journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.
with
[Luk 22:36 KJV] 36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take [it], and likewise [his] scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

compare
[Mat 10:5 KJV] 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into [any] city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
with
[Mat 28:19 KJV] 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Doug, I mean comparison from Jesus and other texts from the bible, you can compare Jesus to peter, Jesus to Isaiah, js. to 1 john, Jesus to Paul.

this is what I meant, as for Matthew, John, Mark and Luke, they complement one another but are not different.

What you quoted in Matthew for example if due to the fact that that Jesus ministry did start with his people the Jews , before his ascension to Heaven, Jesus later sent the 11 to preach all he did and all he explained to all the world, is is why you see a difference but there is no contradiction here. same for Luke but I did not examine this in in detail.

Peace

In my post I have quoted the Bible
The part you like? Quote the parts you don't like. The Bible is God's Word whether you like it or not.
