....their words..don’t penetrate my heart/ spirit....only Gods Living witness the Spirit can penetrate my heart and minister to it.
That's very sad and concerning for you sister. Unfortunately there are those who are seen contradicting the word of God all over the place because they don't love and value it, which leaves them neither knowing nor understanding it. And this leaves them defenceless against an an enemy who goes around seeking who he may devour.

Psa 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Eph 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Heb 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing (penetrating!) even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

We are instructed and exhorted to armour up with the WHOLE armour of God because we badly need it all for journey and the battle we are in...not just some parts of it. I don't mean the dead letter, but serving in the new way of the Spirit who ministers His word to our hearts and minds as we read or listen to it prayerfully and also meditate on it prayerfully.

Psa 19:7-11

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

2Ti 3:14-17

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (The word inspiration there literally means God-breathed, as in given by the Holy Spirit.)

That's very sad and concerning for you sister.
Very sad and concerning for you too @Lizbeth ...you have no Living testimony...only opinions of my posts from you.

Your words will never penetrate my heart, because only the Spirit can minister to my spirit.

Your understanding of scripture is so confusing...that you aren’t even aware of your confusion.

You add your own words to Gods word....you try and speak for God...instead you speak of self...” yourself “...praying for you.
Unfortunately there are those who are seen contradicting the word of God all over the place because they don't love and value it, which leaves them neither knowing nor understanding it. And this leaves them defenceless against an an enemy who goes around seeking who he may devour.
Nonsense, a Born Again learns to put on the full armour of God, when under spiritual attack.

Who teaches us on how to put on the full armour of God...the Spirit or the Bible?

The Bible is written...the Bible is not ,repeat not Alive in Spirit.
Do you actually know what the full armour of God is and what it represents?

Jesus was led by the Spirit Of his Father..

We too who are Born Of The Spirit..are led by the Spirit to do the will of the Father on earth, via His Spirit.

Do you understand what walking in faith means?

How would I know how to walk in faith @Lizbeth ?
Psa 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Eph 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Ok Lizbeth....you read that in the Bible...the sword of the Spirit is not the Bible, it’s a spiritual sword..?

How would I know that?

The sword of the Spirit is how Paul describes the word of God and its role in spiritual warfare. While truth, salvation, faith, and righteousness are also depicted as essential pieces of armor, the Word of God is depicted as the offensive weapon used in spiritual warfare against the devil, demons, and their schemes.
Heb 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing (penetrating!) even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Which is not the Bible...the Spirit penetrates our spirit as it’s being birthed...the Spirit testifies with our spirit, the Spirit has permanently taken up residence in our spirit, we are partakers Of the divine nature.

We are not partakers Of the Bible...you tell a story of what is written....spiritual life, I don’t even think you know what that means.

You, are led through a Bible.

You have no understanding of what it means to be led by the Living Spirit Of God.

All you seem to do is study the Bible...you seem to have no understanding of God’s Living testimony?

You should be seeking God out with your heart...that is the part that you don’t understand...

Romans 8

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Praying that you understand this scripture above @Lizbeth ...as it speaks to our spirit...this scripture you have never discussed not once...why don’t you ever want to discuss the scripture above?

Continue @Lizbeth

Gods word It is a Living Word, a word vibrant with life, a word that carries the power of life, and the power of transformation, a persistent word – a word that is active in us until our very spirit and soul, joints and marrow are divided or parted; that is, until death.

The phrase “sword of the Spirit” is found only once in Scripture, in Ephesians 6:17. The sword is one of the pieces of spiritual armor Paul tells the Ephesian Christians to put on as part of the “full armor of God” that will enable us to stand our ground against evil (Ephesians 6:13).

I am Born Again @Lizbeth ..thank God that I was separated from my non believing husband at the time.

I could never marry a non believer.....nothing in common..I’m Alive in Spirit unfortunately my ex is still dead and alienated from the Spirit of God.

You can’t stand on reading the Bible , it’s not your full armour.

The full armour of God is Spiritual armour....the Bible confirms that truth.

Praying that God gives you more heart revelation..your growth in heart knowledge, seems non existent.

Likewise, ALL scripture speaks to our spirit, true? And why don't you discuss what you posted? You didn't say what your point is with the long passage you posted so there is nothing for me to discuss. There is nothing in scripture that I don't want to discuss, just that I don't have all the time in the world to do so, and only try with God's help to do my part.

I would like to ask you Rita........where does Jesus come into your living testimony about your new birth? What does the Spirit testify to your spirit about Jesus Christ?

Does the Spirit lead you in your daily life?

Do you ever notice him in the outside world?
Can you see his wonderful creation through those spiritual eyes that we were gifted, when our spirit became Born Again?
Do you notice the Spirit working in your life?

Can you hear God’s Living testimony speaking out those words through me?
Likewise, ALL scripture speaks to our spirit, true?
No, Gods Living testimony speaks to our spirit, then what I hear the witness speak to my spirit, I check with scripture......the Bible confirms this.

We are spirit children, true?

Or Bible children @Lizbeth ?

Cop out as usual...all Spirit questions once again have gone unanswered.
I would like to ask you Rita........where does Jesus come into your living testimony about your new birth? What does the Spirit testify to your spirit about Jesus Christ?
Lizbeth, if you have been reading my posts, I explained exactly all about God’s Living testimony...who do you think testifies with our spirit that we are the children of God?

The Bible or Gods Living testimony...do you know who Gods Living witness is?

“Epignosis” is heart knowledge. Paul is saying that the Jews know about God, but it is in their heads. They even have passion for Him, but it is from their minds. It has not made its way to their hearts.

We are to SEEK God out with all our HEART!

Please also @Lizbeth ...don’t try and correct me to your way of believing...as you have been trying to do....your belief is your belief..it confuses the Henry out of me.

My belief/ faith...comes by Gods Living testimony....he ministers Gods truth to my spirit/ heart.

Just like Father God did to Jesus.

A Born Again can only be ministered by the Spirit, because they are Born Of The Spirit.....which is beyond any human understanding.....Spirit communicates directly to my spirit...just as the bible confirms.

The Holy Spirit speaks to your conscience

“For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.” (1 Corinthians 2:11-12)

Yes I do experience the Holy Spirit in my life and heart.

You said that scripture spoke to your spirit.......and I said, likewise, in the same way, all scripture speaks to our spirit. The reason is that it is all God-breathed....given by His Spirit. God's written word speaks to our spirit by His Spirit. That is why it is called the sword of the Spirit.

You ask a million questions and I can't possibly answer them all d/t time and energy limitations.....as well as that I very often don't see what your questions have to do with what we are discussing, so those questions I just won't spend time on.

But I only asked you ONE question here and you didn't answer it. Where does JESUS fit into your living testimony......what does the Spirit testify to your spirit about Him?

Does he permanently indwell your heart..if he does, how would we know this?

I’ve already posted what he testifies with our spirit?

The Spirit is my Living testimony?

Who testifies to our spirit that Jesus died and was resurrected?

The Bible or his Living testimony...the Holy Spirit?

Who gave birth to your spirit, the Bible or the Living Spirit?..= Spirit gives birth to spirit?

Whose Spirit are you Born Again Of?

Are you Born Of The Bible or are you Born Of The Spirit?

Is there any point in carrying on, as you clearly aren’t understanding me and I’m far from understanding you @Lizbeth ?

Your belief/ faith is far from my comprehension..my belief/ faith is far from your comprehension as well.

That’s pretty obvious by what we post.....I stand on God’s Living testimony, ...you stand on the word.

I am 100% standing firm on what the Spirit has brought to my spirit, which is His Living testimony...His Living seed.

You stand firm on the Bible, which you believe is a Living sword.

I think we need to end our non existent discussion..as all we’re doing is going round in circles @Lizbeth .

Would you agree?

Why don't you want to talk about Jesus for a bit.... I was wondering what part Jesus played in your new birth. You testify of the Holy Spirit constantly but I don't remember hearing you testify about Jesus. No man can come to the Father (be born again) apart from Jesus... do you agree? We are to be HIS (Jesus') witnesses, true? ...giving glory to Jesus Christ and testifying about Him. And the Holy Spirit doesn't testify about himself and glorify himself but he glorifies and testifies of Jesus, true? And the scriptures also testify about Jesus.

So, still just the one question sister....what part did Jesus play in your new birth?

The part that Jesus played in my rebirth was, he died and was resurrected...without that act, we could never become Born Again.

Now a question that you have never answered .....for you, what does Spirit gives birth to spirit mean?

What part does the Spirit play in us becoming Born Again?

Why does Jesus tell us...we must be Born Of The Spirit?

Why must we be Born Of The Spirit......?....what happens when we have been Born Again?
Easy answer....

Ok @Lizbeth are we done now, Sis?

I think that we need to agree to disagree in some areas...and respect each other’s beliefs..

One thing we both agree on...no one can come to the Father except through the Son..Jesus.

I think you have been called to glorify God His way, that he has called you, Sis...

I know I have been called after my rebirth..to testify that God is a Living Holy/ Pure/ Perfect/ Love..Spirit.
The Bible is important..as if I never had the bible to refer to, after I have received knowledge from the Living Spirit, then I wouldn’t be able to confirm what I believe I had heard .......what I hear from the Spirit, must be checked with and confirmed by the Bible......if what I heard isn’t there, then it never came from God’s Living testimony ..plus I would never be able to grow in spiritual knowledge...would I...does that make sense?

God has always spoken to my heart via his Spirit.

God speaks to you through the word...he speaks to you one way...he speaks to me another way...
Do we agree on that?

You do seem to be having trouble talking about Jesus. Why is that? …or perhaps I’m mistaken; I hope so.
Why do you say that LatterRain.

I could say the same thing about you, you seem to never want to talk about God’s Living testimony..His Living Holy Spirit, who do you think testifies to my spirit all about the life of Jesus?

Jesus was my saviour, if it wasn’t for Jesus...we wouldn’t be able to be reconciled back to our Spirit Father God, would we?
My spirit has been reconciled back to God...why...because my spirit is Born Of The Spirit/ Born Again/ Born Again of imperishable/ incorruptible seed....that seed that I was Born Again Of is the Living Spirit...

How else could I testify of the life and death of Jesus...without His Living testimony..the Spirit?
Born of the Spirit...Spirit gives birth to spirit?

Everything is by the Spirit, sister. But WHOSE Spirit is that again? It is the Spirit of Christ...and it is Christ IN us the hope of glory. Christ is in us by HIS Spirit, the Spirit of God.

But you see, the HOLY Spirit doesn't draw attention and glory away from Christ to himself........no, the HOLY Spirit glorifies and brings our focus to Jesus Christ and gives us faith to believe in JESUS (faith that is not of our own but is of God, the Spirit). It is the DEVIL who would draw attention and glory and focus away from Jesus to another.....it can be very deceptive.

And the it is the same HOLY Spirit who also gives us a love for His word. (When I was born again the Lord by His Spirit drew me right away to begin reading the scriptures.)

Jesus was my saviour, if it wasn’t for Jesus...we wouldn’t be able to be reconciled back to our Spirit Father God, would we?
Would we? But I'm glad to see you saying that much, first time I've heard you say that. HOW does Jesus reconcile us back to the Father?

My spirit has been reconciled back to God...why...because my spirit is Born Of The Spirit/ Born Again/ Born Again of imperishable/ incorruptible seed....that seed that I was Born Again Of is the Living Spirit...
WHOSE Spirit.....? We MUST give the glory where it is due sister. It is due to Jesus Christ, who let Himself be broken and crushed for our sakes, that HIS Spirit be poured out to us..

Everything is by the Spirit, sister.
What do you mean everything is by the Spirit?
But WHOSE Spirit is that again? It is the Spirit of Christ...and it is Christ IN us the hope of glory. Christ is in us by HIS Spirit, the Spirit of God.
No that’s not how the word tells us we are Born Again..those are your words, Sister.
But you see, the HOLY Spirit doesn't draw attention and glory away from Christ to himself..
Who said he did? I said the Spirit is Gods Living Witness?

He glorifies the Father and I thank Jesus for dying for me...the reason that I can thank Jesus is...because I know of him by His Living testimony..the Spirit.
......no, the HOLY Spirit glorifies and brings our focus to Jesus Christ and gives us faith to believe in JESUS (faith that is not of our own but is of God, the Spirit).
No...that is not how I was Born Of The Spirit...I have explained how that happened on this thread.therefore am not explaining it again....I’ve asked you and Amigo....please don’t force your belief onto me..it ain’t happening...I came to believe in Jesus by God...God did it all.
It is the DEVIL who would draw attention and glory and focus away from Jesus to another.....it can be very deceptive.
Whose taken focus away from Jesus..I don’t glorify Jesus I only Glorify my Father God..I thank Jesus from my heart ..I don’t glorify him...
And the it is the same HOLY Spirit who also gives us a love for His word. (When I was born again the Lord by His Spirit drew me right away to begin reading the scriptures.)
The Holy Spirit as soon as my spirit was Born Again...gave me a heart to know God and to seek him him out with all my heart mind and soul.

.once again you completely skated over my question..Spirit gives birth to spirit..what it means...pretty obvious to me you don’t understand the question....I do..and that’s exactly what happened to my spirit...= Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Already answered that...I asked you that question...how are you reconciled back to your Spirit Father God?
WHOSE Spirit.....?
Lizbeth...scripture please?...whose Spirit can mean anything?

No. I don’t glorify Jesus...I thank him..i glorify my Father God for sending Jesus...
who let Himself be broken and crushed for our sakes, that HIS Spirit be poured out to us..
Indeed...and when my spirit became Born Again..my spirit grieved the death of Jesus...

My spirit grieved, because I knew of Jesus in my heart, by His Living testimony.

You are extremely rude Sister..you have skated over all of my posts..and like Amigo...started preaching your own agenda and expect me to go along with it....I ask you for the 3 rd time...don’t FORCE your belief onto me...

I DO NOT believe as you believe..comprehend that?

Amen! I notice how the atmosphere changes (in a good way) when the name of JESUS is lifted up. It was faith in Jesus (that He gave me) that reconciled me to the Father (because the Father and Son are one.....who has the Son has the Father also, and who has not the Son has not the Father)...... CHRIST came to dwell in my heart by faith in HIM....HIS Spirit, HE, HIM, JESUS, in my heart. My living testimony. Thank you Lord.
