I'm just obsessing a little bit over the green hat I saw on a lady working at Starbucks in a video.

Has anyone ever noticed if people look washed out at Starbucks? I haven't been there in years.

I'm debating in my mind about color choices, because first I like design and a little bit of color theory.

I know of a place that the uniforms are red, but most of the people are not warm toned, so that specific color washes people out and they look unhealthy. Red is usually a color that is meant to bring about the idea of

energy and excitement for businesses, but I think it just makes people angry. Kind of like how a SAD light has the opposite benefits after using it too long.

Facebook chose the color blue because it promotes calmness.

I might be over thinking this because as a child my mom took courses for color analysis.

I've thought about bringing this up at work before but I I'm not really in the position to say, but it is very interesting to me.

Someone said once that God created the grass green for a reason. He knew what he was doing. If he had created the grass red, how would you feel?

Probably overwhelmed and discouraged. You would probably avoid going outside.

He planned it perfectly.

People have to watch their color choices they make in what they wear otherwise the unhealthy thing will be a reality , my wife can not wear yellow for example .

I feel odd when I watch a football game played here .

I can't wear yellow either and I envy people who can. Lol

I think yellow is usually a tone for warm toned people. Neutral colors are kind of hard to find, but it makes a huge difference.

I had to get some bifocal reading glasses to help me on the job, because part of the time I need to be reading, then I don't, and it's a pain to take them on and off and keep track of them.

I ended up with blue frames and I'm hoping they'll work out okay and not clash with everything else.

But that is A LOT of blue in that picture.

I wonder if there is anything to make of the love and display for red by the Chinese and a display of red and purple by dignitaries in the Catholic system?

I am fair skinned, have blondish (more strawberry blond with blond highlights) hair, and blue eyes. When I was little, my hair was nearly white. I have always noticed that if I wear yellows, orange, maroon ...my eye color seems more blue. (Also, if I cry, my eyes seem bluer. lol ...how does that happen??)

I don't like red on me ...I can wear a soft, more toned down or rustic red ...but never looked good in red.

I wear nearly everything.......well, almost nearly everything, even my heart on my sleeve.......which is a bit of a concern for this brown duck.

That I wouldn't know anything about, maybe fortunately hlf

Sounds like you might be a clear spring! Super lucky. All the pretty bright colors.

I'm a true winter and I can't wear red either, but I can pull off a wine or a burgandy.

Color theory is pretty interesting. Blue eyes will usually also pop with whatever color is on the other side of the color wheel, if you're doing eyeshadow/eyeliner. For me, it's copper or orange.

Fun to play around with. Lol

Yes, I can do those as well ....just not red so much. lol

What's a "clear spring"?
Clear spring is the "season" for your coloring. (I'm assuming, you'd have to test it out yourself and play around with it to find out.) so every season has a different palette to best bring out a person's natural glow - even without a hint of makeup.

There was a story of a woman in France who would give women scarves of the right color to bring out their natural glow without makeup.

This is the best pallete for clear spring I could find to give you a better idea

I like those colors ...especially the bottom row ...and the fifth in the top row. lol

Do you wear makeup on a daily basis? I wear makeup about once a week at the most. I go weeks without it sometimes. lol
I do use a little mineral lip color now and then or Burt's Bees. lol
And I use a tallow-based face cream. When I do use makeup, I don't do eyeshadow. I try to keep it very natural looking.

I do when I'm out. Not very often at home. When I'm at home, I mainly focus on skincare and use a lot of castor oil and essential oils.

Rice water treatments worked really well when I was using them.

I like a couple of the Burts bees balms and the Bare Minerals mascara. I don't know what's in Physicians Formula but I'm allergic to their products.

The ELF hydration kit is my favorite routine. I also have the silk worm cocoon, because... I mean this lady made me start. How could I not listen to her? Lol Her skin is amazing at 85.

I think I'll stick with a carnivore diet. I wish I'd started 30 years sooner. This lady rancher is 82 years old and a 65 year carnivore!

The lady talking, Maggie, is 82?!

:Ohz
Yes, she is ...carnivore since age 17. And before that, her mother couldn't get her to eat fruits and veggies so she didn't eat much and was super skinny ....aka, she fasted a lot. And then when she married, she and her husband only ate what they could hunt ...so again, she fasted some meals. Fasting+carnivore is very good for the body and anti-aging.

Interesting topic.
I had a career in graphic design, art direction, creative direction.
Which included nine years of teaching design at private art colleges.
Color theory was a favorite subject to speak about.

For wardrobe, I know that Fall colors look best on me.
Ironically I help my wife pick clothing color combinations that work.
She'll have a couple pairs of slacks and four tops laid out.
I overlay them to show my best picks.

One of the most important things I learned about color theory is the
influence of yellow and blue in warm and cool colors.
Yellow being the warmest (not red) and blue being the coolest.

This really helps in determining whether a gray is warm or cool.

The next most important thing was understanding color compliments.
(opposites on the color wheel). Yellow/violet, red/green, blue/orange.
But this requires some care to make it work. Juxtaposing the
full values of these colors is hideous. IMHO

I think I need to up our meat intake.

This is going to sound weird, but there's this lady in town that is in her 70s and she's super healthy for her age. She comes by and buys a lot of chocolate milk.

Growing up, milk in our culture was kind of a "don't" thing for many reasons. When it went on sale, I was like OK good enough for her I might as well try it.

My energy is way up and my brain fog is gone. It took a week for me to realize it was the chocolate milk, but I realized I must have been having a deficiency somewhere. I have had SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) all my life and this is the first time during winter that I don't have it. And I was taking fish oil and vitamin d.

I am so confused. Grateful and happy about it, but confused.

You ought to try one month on a carnivore diet and see how you feel. Your hair and nails will grow like crazy, and some have reported it has reversed their gray hair. I had a few gray/white hairs that came on when my son Matthew was sick. I can't find them now. I've been 99% carnivore for 20 months now. (I do used Redmond's salt, organic garlic powder and paprika, smoked paprika ....keto ice cream on occasion that has vanilla, chocolate, stevia, monk fruit ....and I use a protein powder that has some monk fruit and cacao, or vanilla.)

I've been on a kick lately of eating about 10 soft scrambled eggs (in butter) a day and about 8 to 10 ounces of chuck roast.... between 2 meals. In between those 2 meals, I may have a protein drink mixed in mostly filtered water and some organic heavy cream. Goodness, when you put that in the freezer a half hour and then take it out and shake it up, freeze another half, shake it up, etc ..... it comes out almost like ice cream! lol
The protein powders I use have grass fed beef collagen, tallow, egg whites, beef organs, and whole beef powder ...you cannot tell it has beef in it AT ALL! It's straight up delicious! lol

My son is going to try using the unflavored beef powder in scrambled eggs with cheese and herbs to see if he can come up with a carnivore "bread" ....on a waffle iron. lol We'll see!

I honestly don't think I could afford to do it fully but I do think I am going to stock up on meat at some point. I might need to buy a deep freezer at some point.

I remember living on a farm, one cow fed everyone for a year. It was pretty nice, actually.

I might try the collagen though. Do you raise your own chickens for eggs?

It's like $8-10 for a carton right now in stores. Thanks Bird Flu
