This video shows footage of El Salvador's gigantic prison. It sure looks like a crime deterrent. Houses mainly gang members. It's 7 football fields big. Prisoners only get out of crowded cells a half hour a day!

Here's more video of the prison. The Hispanic host of the video makes humorous comments here and there.

American prisoners won't be transfered out of the US to another country, 100% against the constitution, president Trump is gaslighting on this one

Just because you're incarcerated doesn't mean you lose your citizenship, can the US deport you against your will "No" same apples to prisoners

Could you imagine the turmoil with "Prison Correctional Officers" losing jobs and their families, communities, local economies that depend on the finances of prison income dollars?

As it stands president Trump has their votes, if he were to export incarcerated Americans it will be a much different story

As it stands right now it's President Trump stirring the pot, the actual outcome will be just like his threatened tariffs on Mexico that changed in just one week

Yeah. Bill O'Reilly said he'd rather go to gitmo than this prison.

Strange/good things are happening!
Thinking that is out of the box...

I heard today that the ICE detention centers are at about 107% capacity.

The president from El Salvador is a Trump Loyalist, good luck at trying to get him to turn on President Trump

Correction. People can be deported without their consent.

There is an option of voluntary departure.

I've seen some videos of CECOT. What caught my attention is just how subdued, for lack of a better word, the inmates were. American prisons are noisy and the prisoners run the inside of the prison. In CECOT it's a very different story, the guards are in control. The worst of the worst are sent there, all gang members. I like how El Salvador keeps the gangs separate as they tend to be breeding grounds for forced recruitment. They do have other prisons for non-gang members that are generally more free and there is an opportunity for actual reform. I really think it should be a model for us.

You didn't specify American citizen in your post I quoted.
Illegal immigrants aren't Americans
