15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
See this..? It's up to us who we obey. Sometimes we might do wrong by yielding to the old man. In such cases if we are aware of doing wrong we need to acknowledge it and repent. I don't know how a born again believer can grieve the Spirit by doing wrong without also feeling grieved with themself too, unless they have hardened their heart and their conscience is seared.....and you know what hardens the heart....? Sin. If anyone should have a tender conscience it is the blood bought child of God.
Scripture that says this please?
Are you not familiar with these scriptures?
1Jo 1:8-9
If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Eph 4:24
And that ye put on the new man, which
after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Col 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of him that created him
Our spirit has been Born Of God’s seed...where does the Holy Spirit take up residence?
What has been birthed in us?
3. Through the work of the Holy Spirit man is given a new heart (nature) and made to walk according to the will of God. Man becomes a new creature in Jesus Christ.
Our new man has been birthed in us a new creature, and it is the new man that has been made to walk according to the will of God. But what of the old man? He has been crucified and no longer has dominion over us - however, he sure does still seem to sometimes rise up in a born again believer. This we know by observing others as well as experience in ourselves.....and there are countless examples in the bible too. It is often a battle to make our old man obey the truth, that he has been crucified and to reckon him dead. This is what fighting the good fight of faith is about. And it's the reason we need God's chastisements and thorns in the flesh, to help deal with our old man and flesh. Why would God lead us through these trials and tribs if we didn't need them?
All over the new testament scrips we are being instructed how to walk as well as exhorted and admonished not to sin. Why on earth would the writers have wasted so much time and effort doing that if it isn't possible for us to sin or go astray?
If I may venture to say sister, I perceive that you listen to what other people say a lot more than you read the scriptures. We need to first know the scriptures well in order to be able to test and discern what people say by the word of God, and not by what seemeth right to us.
