When the whole world became focused on Israel once again as a religious center, they took advantage of the fall of the USSR and moved into Ukraine also to be under less scrutiny, until Russia figured it out--hence Russia's attack on Ukraine. In other words, the war in Ukraine is not a landgrab by Russia, but a war against an old enemy once again too close to home. The war has escalated because all that they found, including: bioweapon labs, human and child trafficking, with US involvement--hence the cover up--and hence the billions of aid and support from the US, while publicly blaming Putin.
