When the Holy Spirit convicts someone of something they did wrong, that is not always a comfortable feeling.

Holy Spirt is saying lot of things here, but you have become blind to it

I think you should come out to pray , instead of coming out to say " MD, you are being a control freak, and as such we know who your god is, and it is not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
you should say sorry, for the words and thought which you are using for me.

I said earlier I do not agree with what you say.

and yes you should pray for what is shared. It makes sense.

MD, what I posted as a prayer over your life was this: -

My pray for you is that the Lord God will include you among those whom He is drawing to Himself such that you may gain Godly understanding of God's Grace towards you and receive His peace and know His purposes for your life as you renew your mind and then put on the refurbished personhood that God has always wanted you to become, just like Paul often encouraged the readers of his letters to the churches to do.

It is your choice as to whether or not you accept the prayer or reject it, that is your call.

You are not the first person I have used this style of prayer over, and many have been thankful that I did because over time they were able to see God's hand working as He was drawing them to Himself.

It is your choice as to whether or not you accept my prayer of asking God to include you among those whom He is drawing to Himself.

More passive aggressiveness. We might not chase them away. 2 Timothy 1:7 The timidity is unbecoming of one who has the bold Spirit of God. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. I don't play the what if game. The prayer request forum is not a NON-Christian forum; the "members" posting are supposed to be Christian's, who have responsibility. 1 Timothy 5:20 (ESV) As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear....

The difference between being spiritual and religion is accountability. Christendom has become far too soft and over-spiritualized, thereby abdicating justice. Jesus offended plenty of people. Even Paul said believers have to stop with the milk for it is time for the meat of the Gospel.

And I reject the claim that we should avoid offending people at any cost. There is an active thread, doesn't anyone want to be corrected? No Scripture verse says something like, "encourage believers to be comfortable in their sin." I asked a simple question in response to the prayer request, what was the argument about (so I can know what to pray for specifically, not merely a preferred outcome). Something is wrong in refusing to elaborate on his situation. What he wants is not what he needs. It's unfortunate that you cannot discern the wisdoms of Mick Jagger.

Becoming testy with the conversation? No need for that, we're just talking.

It occured to me that you sort of have a point. And so you got, what do they call it? Righteous indignation1 And we all know very well that even Jesus got righteous indignation at times! And for a good cause. Sometimes the truth hurts, but we still need to speak the truth if we are to truly speak in Love to our neighbors, right? That is right.

But if you ponder when Jesus did it, you see a curious thing. Oh yes he made a whip and drove the profiteers out of the temple and their stock. He was always telling those Pharisees, Brood of Vipers! Hypocrites! And all that stuff!

But...the Pharisees wasn't asking for help and prayer. They were against Jesus and his teachings. And the money changers that Jesus drove out of the temple and turned over their tables, wasn't asking for Jesus help! They were there doing business and not asking for prayer, like our Brother, MyDreams.

What are you talking about? She was not arguing with you. All she did was speak a truth. She isn't attacking you, geezow man. I understand that you and Wrangler are arguing but don't get all thin skinned on everyone because you don't like how wrangler spoke to you. Maybe you'll feel better tomorrow? (Wrangler too!)

Actually MD said the above quote to me. I don't take it to heart because I know it is not true. FYI, he has said similar things to me in the past. But I always realize it isn't true so I don't let it bother me.

I have put forward a prayer request and what they are making of this prayer request . Who is responsible for what is going on now?

I think it is time this thread was locked. My dreams , you know it might be kind of nice if you interacted on other threads at times. I don’t agree with every post that is here but when others have things laid on their hearts it is sometimes wise to give some thought and reflection to what they say as the Lord may be endeavouring to help you through those words. We are called to discern, and that can only be done if we listen and reflect.
I hope things gets resolved with your mum x
