I have met several people in this forum who have suffered the loss of children, spouses and others who were dear to them, some very recently so.

Stephen Curtis Chapman lost his daughter to a tragic accident quite a ways back.
This album was the fruit of that sorrow and suffering.

You are so very welcome Brother. You know I was thinking of you. You are daily in my prayers.
Thank you. Please also remember @Pearl, who lost her husband; @Johann, who lost his wife, and @Debp, who lost her mother. There may be more, but those are the three who come immediately to mind.

Edit: If the statute of limitations hasn't run out, @Nancy lost a couple of dear friends not too long ago. I never did properly express my condolences.

I did not know of any of those, but I haven't been here all that long, thank you. I will put them on the prayer list.

Thanks for your prayers.

My 94 year old mother died June 21, 2024. She fell March 4 and had hip surgery but never got out of bed again. I took care of her until her passing on at our apartment which we shared.

So sorry about your mom Deb. I will definitely be praying for you. I lost my mom many years ago, we weren't close. I had a lot of bitterness and unforgiveness towards her, when she passed away, I forgave her and let all that go, within two months the Lord forgave me.

All His words are true.
Much love Sister

Thank you for remembering me in your prayers. This is a good thread as even though we cannot tell how much support we receive from people who are praying for us but we definitely know it's there.

I will add my prayers for others who have lost loved ones and I just this minute got a phone call from the daughter of an old friend telling me she had passed away.

Thank you Pearl. If Father allows me to hang around this forum for a while, I will make a list of all the various prayer requests and put them into one post every few days or so.

Today it is 5 years since my youngest son, Matthew, went Home at age 17. I had a rough night last night. I dreamed he was here and I just wanted to make sure I touched him and hugged him as much as possible. Thankfully, we had a precious connection and relationship. He was much taller than me, and multiple times a day, he came to me with strong hugs. He never got too big for hugs. ❤️

Anyway ....a rough night, and I'm surprised I didn't wake anyone up with my screams. I just had to release something (pain). It is unspeakable.

I want to share his playlist of favorite praise and worship songs here. It starts off with a song he listened to many times a day/night ... "Hidden" by United Pursuit. The words to the chorus are engraved on Matt's gravestone.

@VictoryinJesus mentioned that she has MS and suffers from brain lessions I believe she said, I have been praying for her but she could also use all of our prayers (together)

I can't even imagine how difficult for you that must have been. Thank you so much for trusting us with your grief. I've been trying to write this response for several minutes, its a bit of a challenge, while repeatedly wiping my eyes. I have prayed for you, and will continue to do so.

More tears... I deeply appreciate your prayers and sentiments.
This thread reflects the heart of God.

God bless you and yours in Jesus' name

Brother, would you mind having a listen to the playlist, or save it to listen to? Matt was mature in the Lord and faith beyond his years. His taste in music speaks volumes. Sometimes I could hear him in his room singing along and praying. Such a blessing.

Yes, our World is one of ongoing tragedy and heartbreak. It affects us all.......yet through it, God's people are comforted with a hope that outshines the Sun. Let us cling to that hope unflinchingly......and in a short while we will see and declare that our suffering are not worthy to be compared to the glory revealed in us. Romans 8:18

I have every intention of listening to the songs you posted T. You posted them for a reason. Sometime later this evening when things are quiet, I'll put on his playlist. If you have not yet listened to the SCC album above, please do so, you may find some comfort there.

I would have never asked, but I am so glad to hear that your Matthew went to be with Jesus.

As I have discovered most recently, it is possible to have tears of sorrow and joy falling together at the same time.
God is good like that.

Rejoice T, you are one of the blessed ones, you will see your son again.
Bless you ..I am listening. I knew his story for years now and have heard the first song, but never heard the entire album. Thank you for sharing it.
