From the heart flows all sorts of evil. But Jesus did not have an evil heart as he had no original sin to corrupt it.

The temptations he faced were external, from the enemy, attempting to manipulate him based on the good things he desired.

Jesus wanted to begin his ministry, and the devil used this to tempt him to perform a miracle.

Jesus also wanted to fulfill prophecy. He was careful not to test God unnecessarily.

Jesus wanted to restore all things to the way it was in Eden. That was the crux of his purpose on earth. The devil tempted him with the easy solution, that wouldn't have resulted in his death. What would have happened if he have taken the offer?

Jesus had his own will, and choose to do his Fathers work.

Well done. Though you do realize those truths will never reach those to whom we refer?
Prone to sin but sinless. It is ridiculous to say, he was like us in every way except this. He wouldn't be a role model otherwise.

Even so, people are tempted, just as Jesus was tempted.

We have a choice just as Adam and eve did... The tree of life (Yeshua - living and abiding in him), or the tree of knowledge and good and evil (what our flesh knows naturally with our God-given soul.)

Luke 22:42 “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

Jesus did not have a will independent of the Father; His will is inseparably echad (one) with the Father's.

J.
Yes but there other wills if you multiply the number of persons. What intention or will are speaking of theologically?

Thank you .

I don't think I'd waste my time trying to correct fools.

A Sinner came to save Sinners including himself from Sin.
"In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God......and the word became (a sinner) and dwelt among us."

"Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse, and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury. Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you." Proverbs 9:7-8

It is as they say. Not everyone who joins a Christian forum and claims to be in Christ is a Christian.
@Johann

To be clear, my post above was encapsulating what those who you said are here believe. That Jesus had a sin nature.

I know that is a blasphemous lie.
I was showing through amending that single scripture with their false teaching what the Scripture would have to have taught if they were right.

They're wrong. And unless God intercedes, are damned for that blasphemy held by un believers.

I was never looking to make this some debate, but it seems that some people have a problem with Jesus being tempted. Don't know why. It's beyond me. However, Jesus was tempted in everyway, just as we human beings were.

If you believe differently, fine. But it doesn't stop it from being so. Whatever you believe...

When it comes to Satan ( I do believe Satan has been done away with today) we ourselves can be our own adversary. All us deal with our own thoughts within our hearts, and sometimes they are against what Yahavah desires for us to do. We can be tempted to worship other things besides Yahavah himself. We could worship ourselves, even worship other people, but it's Yahavah whom we are to worship in spirit and in truth.

John 4:21“Believe Me, woman,” Jesus replied, “a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22You worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. 24God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

So to be clear-you don't believe the Word/Logos/Memra became a sinner--correct @pepper?

The topic is not about was Jesus a sinner. He never sinned. However just as he was tempted. We too are also tempted, and we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

This is why the writer of Hebrews wrote,

“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The point is though Jesus was tempted, he can understand why we do fall short, and when we have those inclinations and fall. The point he understands.

There are so many people who say if you do fall short, God doesn’t love you anymore. That God is angry with you… none of that is true…

So we can learn to understand that Jesus too, was tempted just like us. So no one can say God doesn’t love people just because they fall short, and we have the High Priest who understand and can sympathize with us and through Yeshua by the spirit of Christ we can go to Yahavah about these things, find mercy, and understanding.

Like I’ve stated there are many people out there who will say if you fall short God doesn’t love you. That stuff is not true, we are able to get to Yahavah and ask him to help us in our short coming because knows we go through them, just as Jesus was tempted we can find some common ground here on these matters.

Isn’t that wonderful?

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are
