It’s a beautiful song about peace. Which is what Carter wanted for the world.
Here's my thoughts about peace, God and the world.
Isaiah 48:22
“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”
Isaiah 13:11
“I will punish the world for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
1 John 5:19
We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
1 Thessalonians 5
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
Anyone who denies Christ, that does not takes up his cross and follow Him is the wicked.
There is a personal cost to following Christ, the world is wicked, you won't have an easy time, you will have opposition.
Only Christians have peace with God and the Lord Jesus Christ. The peace of the world is a fraud as there is no such thing, only conflicts.
True peace makers labor to bring people to Christ to experience peace with God.
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
Venerating godless songs tell you something about the heart.
Music opens a window to the soul.
The peace the world desires results in a sudden destruction
Of course we all want peace, I don't like war, but war and conflict is not going away until the Last Day when Christ returns.
No one can have peace with the world and God at the same time, the world will see to that.

That’s all fine, people can still want peace and remain Christian and in the light.
You also have Jesus during the sermon on the mount say, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
Nothing screams wrapped in the grace of God like a post that deficates on a dead Christian.I would prefer to go out like Moses.
And Carter was one of the worst Presidents in US history, but he was a nice guy.
His final goal in life was to live long enough to vote for Kamala.
Even nice guys make horrible choices.
First and foremost he was a democrat through and through, what does that tell you about him?
He had no true discernment about right and wrong, voted the party line and all they stand for.

Peacemaking is between God and Man through Christ though, as Jesus reminds us.
When we point people to Christ we are enabling peace between them and God, which it also says they will be called the sons of God, they do what Christ as a Son did, making peace between God and Man. Jesus was all about the kingdom of God, not the kingdoms of this world..
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Reconciled in Christ
19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
That may be how you interpret Blessed are the peacemakers. That is not how I Interpret it.
We’ll see who is correct in the end.
Problem is we do not have peace with the world, but we can have peace with God.
1 John 3:13
Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.
In this life we are meant to learn about our eternal salvation, not temporal things.

Yes he was involved, but the "getting hands dirty" were mostly photo ops.
Look around.
There isn't even peace to be found here. Or on any active Christian discussion forum.
Satan is still lord of this world.
We are only ever promised peace with God through Christ, and His love.
Anything in the world is fraught with conflict and contention even among believers, which is proven through history.
In heaven and the world to come we can have peace. Our citizenship is in heaven

Peace here in this world,or on a forum, begins with you.
Me,all of us,have a choice. Be of the world or in the world.
Let's say your peaceful, but others kill your family and destroy your town, there is still no peace, evil is in the world, and men's hearts are evil and they do wicked works. The unsaved follow Satan and desire to do his will, and the devil wants to kill, torture steal, destroy.
It might start with you, but that is where it ends unless God changes people's hearts. Lots of people refuse to live peacefully and are not converted to the gospel. We are blessed to live in the US, now just imagine living in the Middle east as a Christian or someplace in a muslin or communist nation like North Korea.

Thank you for the question, as always.
The only sexual relation sanctified by God is between a man and woman in holy matrimony.
The alphabet people and their fellow travelers toss around LOVE without understanding what God (and Jesus) meant by Love Thy Neighbor. It is sad, and has led to much of the destruction in society today.
(By the way, although these same people will wonder how you can be against marriage between a “loving” gay/lesbian couple, they choke if you ask why they are not supporting the same for a group of 3 or 4 bisexuals.)
