On Thursday we might get a slight bit of rain... hopefully so. Our rain is rare until we get the El Nino years.
So far I heard of one suspected arsonist arrested. He was observed in an area where a fire had broken out.X posts say people are lighting these fires, arsonists at work.

After the fire fighter arson investigators can go in, they will investigate the cause of the other wildfires.
I heard about one power company taking credit for one of the wildfires. Not on the news but I think it was on YouTube.

I think this is a PR operation to garner sympathy for Hollywood. Hollywood don't get good press lately with Puff daddy getting busted and that could implicate a lot of stars. So they need a new batch of stars after the cleanup phase.
I seen a video about the city people have not been clearing any brush for several years, so that is feeding the fires. And the reservoir just happened to be empty? That has the earmarks of a bigger operation. Not a few lone wolf people going for the insurance money and making sure their houses burn.

In our fire prone areas, home owners are required to do brush clearance for a certain number of yards surrounding their homes.
Also, Los Angeles employs herds of goats to do brush clearance on steep hillsides. I've even seen the goats working on a steep hill in downtown Los Angeles.
We regularly get wildfires but these got really destructive because of the strong winds blowing embers for miles.

They did the same in Australia ! and They were warned for years before, that they were total morons for not managing the Bush Lands, but they got away with it all !
I seen such as fire brakes and all just not managed all over my State and NSW as I rode dirt bikes and covered more area than most people ever would over many years, so I seen places that I could not get my bike through in many parts of the bush anymore, as fire brakes was all hell over grown.
All the riders with me were all, like what the hell is the Government think they are doing !

This is from one hour ago....the first time no flames visible in the Palisades area. However stronger winds are coming later today and tomorrow.

I found out last night that California has been planning for fires. Not as in fire readiness but planning to burn! Here it is. Lawsuits are starting already

So they used to do it and have put it on homeowners now? That would be convenient for them!
No, the mandatory brush clearance is for home owners' personal property (yards, ranches). The City or County doesn't go into their yards to clear brush.
The City and County does do brush clearance on their lands in fire prone areas....often employing goat herds on steep terrain.
