I really wouldn't worry too much. Sometimes you have to be alone with God and find him in quiet and solitude. It is common when your faith is being tested. Hiding in the prayer closet can be a very, very good thing.

@Misfit might be unresponsive for right now, but God still listens.

So, specifically... what are you praying?

I hear all the time people say "I'm praying" but if you ask them what are they actually saying to the Lord in their prayer they rarely have an answer. If I'm going to set myself in agreement with someone who says they are praying, then I need to know what they are praying... specifically.

Most folks think wishful thinking is praying... new age "good thoughts" is not making specific requests or supplication unto the Lord based on what He has already said in His Word.

Not trying to give you a hard time... but generally speaking most people aren't really praying according to what God's Word says about prayer when they say "Praying"

Too often in prayer forums, such as this one, I have seen people dictating on behalf of God or on behalf of themselves or others. Long ago I stopped defining my prayers for others to see on "prayer request" threads and thus allowing them to make this into a debating forum. I do have a specific answer to your question, but I will not provide it on this thread.

It’s now the 13-1-2025, hope and pray that you are in a much better spiritual place with the Lord.

Praying that the Spirit has increased your faith in him, sometimes it seems that God is far from our situation, yet the word says he’s always at work in our lives, .....my faith has been struggling, for quite some time, then very late last night, I got a breakthrough....I hope that this is encouraging to you Sister/ Brother.

He showed me that he wants us to be brutally honest regarding our faith in him imo,...it’s not all rose painted as some of us like to convey, ( talking of myself here)...be open and honest is what I’m getting and stop making out everything is a bed of roses, when it’s not, again talking about myself here.

God Bless Sis/ Brother, please share how everything is going with the Lord and your faith, if you feel you can, no pressure to do so.

To be honest I’m struggling with doubts again. I almost walked away last night because the doubts were so bad. It’s that God hasn’t answered my prayers and I’m starting to doubt He ever will. That’s it’s all in vain.

Be encouraged Misfit...if it’s any consolation, I’m still waiting for God to bring something to fruition that he showed me 33 yrs ago .I know he will, and yes, I too have doubts at times, I think that’s all part and parcel of building our faith and trust in God.

Our timing is not the right timing..Gods timing is the perfect timing...just know that he hears our prayers....
Stay focused on him, and remember the enemy will get inside your/ my head at times, whispering lies to us, telling us that God will never answer our prayers...

God will answer your prayers...we just have to learn patience...hard I know.
