We are not on the same page. I am speaking in regards to what the Jewish religion believes. They rejected Jesus as the Messiah and are still waiting for the one that was prophesied to come. So for them it's as though it will be the first appearance of a Messiah. And this is how the antichrist gains acceptance as being the Messiah that was prophesied. My only issue is with how the prophecy of 2Thess. is determined to be fulfilled in this Jerusalem temple. Paul said specifically that the fulfillment of the prophecy concerning the man of sin would be found in the temple of God. Now whatever the Jews may think, their temple, regardless how careful their preparations, can never be the temple of God. Ever. Therefore we need to look elsewhere for the fulfillment of the prophecy. The man of sin cannot appear in the temple in heaven, which leaves only one remaining alternative. The Christian Church.
