[Act 3:13, 19 KJV] 13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let [him] go. ... 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

It is evident that from verse 13 Israel is the intended audience spoken to.
The nation of Israel will not have their sins blotted out until the coming of Christ.

[Eph 1:7 KJV] 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

[Rom 5:11 KJV] 11 And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

[Col 2:13 KJV] 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Unlike Israel, today believers in Christ have forgiveness now.

This clearly shows that God deals differently with the churches in different dispensations and Peter and Paul teach differently as well.

Act 3:19 " when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord "

it has been so long, many many years, since I have read this beautiful and marvelous passage that you mention here. The Lord is indeed speaking to the Jews directly, writing to them a promise that he will be the savior who will redeem them.

does not scripture teach that we have already been forgiven ? has God has already forgiven both the Jew and Gentile when he laid down his life at the time of the crucifixion . He died and forgave the sins of the whole world. Now all one need to do is repent and put away the sin.

Repent also and be turned / converted, into he will wipe away you of the sins that if will come OR " so that will come "

the times of refreshment of / from the face of the Lord. .

Greek word for word , ......so beautiful. ........thank you

It seems to me we are forgiven when we repent of our sin.

[Col 2:13 KJV] 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

This verse says that when we trust Christ and believe the gospel we are forgiven all trespasses......we dont repent to be forgiven.....we repent to change our mind to believe we are lost and believe the gospel....we repent to change our mind about our sin and live to please the Lord

The Lord commanded us to repent (Matt 4:17). Are you saying we can sin as much as we want?

That's how the OSAS peoples roll.

They think all their sin is automatically forgiven before they even commit the sin which is what the OSAS people frequently bust out in to sinful behavior all the time.

One should not associate with the OSAS people in their personal lives cause they can suddenly turn evil at any given moment, anytime their personal demons lead them to do so.

[Mat 4:17 KJV] 17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Jesus was preaching to Israel to change their mind and believe the gospel

As far as saying we can sin...no we shouldnt.....please read my post
DOES BELIEF THAT ONCE SAVED MEAN WE CAN SIN

I think you'll find that when we sin, trouble enters our life. Jesus said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." In other words, we'll have peace when we repent.

OT had their sins atoned (covered) by the blood of bulls and goats. But not forgiven or atoned (erased) because Jesus had not shed His blood yet! But now since Jesus has shed His blood and poured it out on the heavenly mercy seat- forgiveness happens instantaneously in experience. However in position, those chosen before teh foundation of the world had their sins declared removed prior to creation. It is a paradx that I do not fully understand but believe and accept as it is Scripture.

Maybe you are saying that God had predestined everything to his purpose in that he created Adam knowing he would sin...determined Adam's sin would be in all mankind and Jesus would redeem mankind's sin especially to those who would believe

Well I do know that go created Adam knowing he would fall and lose his free will and become enslaved to sin. He allowed it and it was part of His overall plan. How the mechanics of all that works out is way beyond my pay grade.
