What is our testimony? Yup, what is it that we testify to? Is it ourselves or the risen Jesus?

The story of how we came to understand the Grace of God is but a minor part of the stories of our life. If we make it the major part and assume that is our testimony, we have become lost in the labyrinth of navel gazing and have little to say about God's generosity to sinners. We are focusing on ourselves at the expense of testifying to the risen, forgiving Saviour.

What a clever trick Satan has pulled on us. Talk about ourselves, he convinces us, and we think we are giving our testimony.....and our listeners are none the wiser of Jesus and its wonder.

When we are asked to share our testimony, what are we expected to say....and what do we say? Food for thought!

Proverbs 30:2-4

2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
