Trying is not important: arriving at the truth is. It's not a contest of you versus me, or my knowledge versus yours, it's a matter of discerning the truth so all can benefit. May the Lord be with you.
Matthew 3:11 (NIV) – “I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

John the Baptist speaks of Christ who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.
Mark 1:8 (NIV) – “I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

John the Baptist’s message points to Jesus as the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.
Luke 3:16 (NIV) – “John answered them all, ‘I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.’”

Similar to Matthew and Mark, this verse highlights the coming of Jesus who baptizes with the Spirit.
John 1:33 (NIV) – “I would not have known him except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’”

John the Baptist recounts the moment he realized Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:5 (NIV) – “For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Jesus tells His disciples about the coming baptism of the Holy Spirit before His ascension.
Acts 1:8 (NIV) – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Jesus promises the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for witnessing, which is related to the baptism of the Spirit.
Acts 2:4 (NIV) – “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

On the day of Pentecost, the disciples are filled with the Holy Spirit, marking their baptism with the Spirit.
Acts 10:44-47 (NIV) – “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message... Then Peter said, ‘Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.’”

The baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs in the house of Cornelius, showing the inclusivity of the Spirit’s baptism.
1 Corinthians 12:13 (NIV) – “For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.”

Paul speaks of the baptism of the Spirit as uniting believers into one body, transcending all social distinctions.
Titus 3:5 (NIV) – “He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.”

Paul refers to the renewing work of the Holy Spirit in believers, which can be understood as part of the baptism of the Spirit.
These verses emphasize that Spirit baptism is not just about being "immersed" in the Holy Spirit, but also about empowerment, renewal, and union with the body of Christ. In these passages, we see a diverse range of expressions of the Spirit’s work in believers, from initial salvation to ongoing empowerment for mission and ministry.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit was a promise made to the 11 apostles as the power from on high. Ref Luke 24:49 which was foretold by John the Baptist as well, and fulfilled in Acts 2 as the 11spoke in other tongues.
