Work out your own Salvation?

Those scriptures in Galations are specifically talking about going back under the Law and its ordinances. You are misapplying them

In Galatians you have Christians who have turned from Faith in Christ, and gone back to self righteousness.

Let me show you how they think..

"Jesus i trust in you, and that is why im trying not to lose my salvation.. by trying to keep myself saved".

See that?
That is ZERO Faith in CHrist, that is pretending its faith.

Its broken faith..........Its "FALLEN from GRACE"... into SELF Righteousness... = "in the FLESH"

That is "in the FLESH"... as everyone who is trying to stay saved, or be saved, of themselves.... by effort, or behavior, is now a SELF Saver, and that is 'to fall from Grace " and get into the "flesh"... = "FLesh", is the carnal mind that is now trying to manifest righteousness, and that is SELF Righteousness.

Typically, if a person who is a Legit Christian, is now trying to stay saved, then that is the proof they are "fallen from Grace" and "in the Flesh".

He doesn't "keep" people against their will.

Being born again is a birth in the spirit... and has nothing to do with how you think.

Its completed....and so, if later the person get tied up with some cult teaching, like Calvinism, .. .or if they read some verse in the NT that is talking to Jews,.. and they believe its talking to them.......such as Hebrews 10... then they become confused, and "fall from Grace'.
However if they were born again.. .the are still born again.
You can't stop being born again... as this is an eternal spiritual birth.

We are in a war and like any war there can be casualties.

The only casualties are people who lost their faith, and are now trying to save themselves.

Or.

Its the people who understand Salvation, and the spiritual walk and the Devil fights them.
He doesn't fight people who believe they have lost, or can lose their salvation, as he's already deceived them.
He doesn't pay attention to Calvinists, as they are lost in it, and have no power, no authority, nothing..

So, he's not interested in Catholics, and Mormons, and Calvinists, and other "ISM's" as He has them deceived already.
What the devil is looking for is a way to ruin a Christian who isn't deceived.

See, Satan is a DECEIVER.. so, if He has you deceived into believing that you have to keep yourself saved, or if He has you tied up in Calvinism or Catholicism, or Mormonism, or one the other Cults, then He is not dealing with these people, as he has already deceived them.

The difference between the two men was what?

David stumbled as badly or worse than Saul, but David always accepted the blame, laying it on no one else and repented before God. Saul, on the other hand, tried to justify himself and never sincerely admitted the blame that was his alone.

Love the above observation you shared. The difference between Saul and David. Even in counseling it’s hard to get through where either we want to justify ourselves where it’s everyones fault besides our own. Or we see our own part in doing wrong.

A short (as possible) conversation I wanted to share with you about through a glass darkly but then face to face. And about killing others (not their flesh). I was waiting at the dentist and a woman spoke about the purple color of my water cup. Saying “I also like purple”. That started a conversation. She begin to talk while we waited about her ex husband who she said is of the devil. Then about her daughter who was in the back being seen…how her daughter is of the devil just like her father. I didn’t bring up religion, she brought it up. She went on to say she raised their son and he is perfect, on his second marriage but he found a good Christian woman to marry. How he was succeeding well in life, how he is building a new expensive home. But the daughter she said, “I tell my daughter all the time …get behind me satan! She is pure evil. She loss her toes from diabetes and struggles to walk. She is always mad.” Maybe horrible but as the woman went on about her daughter and ex and their being of the devil…I noticed the woman’s bitterness. Even her face was in a permanent hardened scowl of hatred. To her she was sacrificing for the no good thing in the back, to bring her to the dentist. I was tempted to ask the woman “are you just as bitter and angry, as your daughter?” But what good would it do? Would it cause her to consider the contradiction of her words…of the devil? Would it help her to see a commonality with her daughter, instead of her being above her daughter? Mainly I didn’t say anything because she did most of the talking, I just listened.

The reason it stood out to me, ….is it reminded me how we run our mouths regarding others and don’t even see; we do the same thing we blame others of. You shared a testimony on another thread, I think. About your wife and you mocking a couple behind their back, yet they turned out to be close friends. I can relate. I catch my husband and I mocking others …and have to remind myself “we do the same” as those we mock. I think I’m also full of it, often. Justifying myself at the expense of saying that same ol’ “thank God I’m like that sinner!” I do see it all around in me, and in others what you mentioned regarding Saul who always blamed others for his own doing. Do we ever pay attention to our words? Are we guilty of the same as we accuse others of. Can we even see our guilt or only another's guilt. I like what you said concerning David…after God’s heart.

Can a person who has received the Holy Spirit follow his own lead instead of God's? If he does, is he no longer as brother in the Lord?

Notice that Paul is talking about a "Crown of Righteousness"..

Well that is a Heavenly reward..........as there are many "Crowns" that can be achieved down here, that will be awarded up there..

Notice that Paul predicated His "Crown" based on 2 things, he Accomplished.

1.) He kept the Faith

2.) He was always in love with the knowledge of Christ's Appearing.........

So, who is a person who has "Kept the faith".., and by doing this, a Crown is achieved in Heaven?

Its a person who has never once lost faith........never doubted, never backslid... never grew cold to the things of Christ.

Paul was such a Christian.

Seeing ourselves and our own misdeeds is too often done after the fact. God wants us to be paying attention to Him and His Way, His Word, all of the time. As with David, repentance is good, but would it not have been better to have done it right so as not to need to repent? Help us dear Lord!

We are not Born Again of Jesus we have been Born Of The Spirit?

That is Universalism..... as it does not require anyone to BELIEVE.

So, Universalism borders one side of demonic theology by teaching that all are already a Christian, and noone needs to trust in Christ.

and on the other side of Satan's doctrine.. you have Calvinism, that teaches that God chooses you to believe, for you... and only some of you., and the rest are chosen for Hell, because God wont choose you for Heaven... according to demonic Calvinism. (TULIP).
