Helping stray cats during a tremendous storm

Onur in Turkey spent eight hours helping and feeding the stray cats in this terrible storm.

What a wonderful human being, looking after those cats and rescuing them from under those rocks..poor little things were terrified of that vicious sea...I can see why people say ,respect the sea..it’s taken many lives.

Why are those cats hanging around sea rocks for? Cats usually find safer places to stay. The cats look amazingly in good health too. Plus, stray cats are not friendly at all.

That storm was a once in a hundred years storm.

Onur said the municipality puts stray cats there. Also, some people dump their cats there.

Onur feeds hundreds of strays, gets them neutered and spayed. If they have a disability, he takes them to a vet. He personally has adopted blind and disabled stray cats.

Stray cats are friendly once they get to know you. I used to feed about 12 strays years ago and adopted some.

Why don't they place the cat houses further away from the ocean waves? Surely, the cats would like to be away from the waves crashing up on them??? I don't get it. :/

It was a "once in one hundred years storm". Usually the waves don't go that high.

Here's the same area on a regular day. Towards the end of the video, he releases a huge amount of cats after they were spayed and neutered.

This is quite a rescue....after the earthquake in Turkey, a cat was trapped about seven stories up for seven days. Onur did finally rescue it with the help of a fire truck.
