Congratulations are in order for Trump. Well earned. May God guide him and our nation.
If God is guiding him to put tariffs on all Canadian and Mexican imports -- as he said today he would do Day 1 (“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders”) -- then God better take a refresher course in Economics.
I can't stress strongly enough how galactically stupid such tariffs would be to our economy. Raising prices for American consumers under the guise of protecting American manufacturing from competition is a ticket to disaster. The booming stock market, currently at record highs without those tariffs, will tank.
I understand he said he'd put the tariffs unless Mexico stops the influx of illegals passing through Mexico.
If they don't want the tariffs, they better take action.
He is going to put tariffs on Canadian goods because Mexico is the source of illegal immigrant crossings? Smart. Real smart.
Don't you see that tariffs will hurt US? Tell me you understand that.

All countries do tariffs. This isn't the first time for the USA to tariff a country. Mexico is doing nothing to stop people and drugs from all over the world to cross into the USA. The drugs are killing 1000's of people. Its time seal the border and shut down illegal drugs and goods, and child trafficking. China has been pushing cheap goods on the USA for so long its pathetic. How much made in China goods do you have in your house. China also ships mail order drugs in toys to the USA. Let's not forget those balloons. I'm not sure about Canada yet. Immigrants come from Canada too.
When the first Trump Administration negotiated the USMCA, it called the deal a "mutually beneficial win for North American workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses." Is that now suddenly untrue? Do we really want to torpedo USMCA? We import nearly a trillion dollars annually in goods from Canada and Mexico. Imagine the price hike we will pay on those goods if Trump carries through with his tariffs! Imagine the further pain if these countries retaliate with tariffs against American goods coming into their countries.
I hope there is time to dump my Ford and GM stocks before the market opens today . . .

It is more of a ploy to bring manufacturing back to the USA from Mexico and stop the illegal crossings and drugs. The same for China. A lot of our pharmaceuticals are made in China. There is a move to bring that back. Tariffs are also a negotiating tool, to remove tariffs against us. IF we begin pumping more oil, the price will come down, shipping gets cheaper, goods get cheaper, etc.

Happy to close borders. But this is not the way! We are all going to pay more for Canadian and Mexican goods, and for American products with Canadian and Mexican components.

Just noting….Your comments are a Refection of the Failure of Public System of Educators to teach students About the intent, purpose and form of US Governments….and adults from learning what they were not taught in the Public School System.
BTW…Canada has an influx of foreigners with intent to illegally enter the US. By design of geographical location the invasion of foreigners illegally entering through Mexico is more advantageous for foreign invading law breakers.

The day before the election he explained to the people at his last rally that that would be his last rally. He said he did just over 900 rallies (over the 3 elections cycles).
People are often jealous of the rich, supposing wealth is merely inherited from generation to generation. While it is true that he got a healthy inheritance, it is also true that the man has awe inspiring work ethic.
Just imagine yourself pulling off a single rally. Scheduling the venue. Organizing security and customer service personnel. Coordinating with the media, putting together ads. And of course, raising money to pay for it all.
His rallies were bigger than any we ever saw in American politics. I was blessed to go to 2 in 2016. By 2020 and 2024, although he booked the largest venues in the area, still 10's of 1,000's of people waited hours, only to be told there weren't enough seats. In response, he added outdoor speakers so these masses of people, yearning to be part of MAGA could feel the energy, and dare I say, the power of God, who had anointed this businessman. I suggest everyone read the prophecies and this book.
