I had started another thread earlier and evidently there's not been too much of exposure to the two gospel Theory that seems to be taken hold in several Christian Ministries. But I came across a post where someone was declaring that the gospel is this or that. And so I have a question for the members here do you know what the gospel is? Do you understand what exactly salvation is?

What is the gospel.
Go back, and back, and back.
Keep going deeper.
Anyone that truly belongs to Him will correct me and hit the bullseye.

Agreed you have to go to the beginning to understand why Jesus came or you miss it.Many don't believe it happened anymore Its just a fairy tale.It is the Good news not the bad news - what is that news the gospel preaches and that we are told to preach?I am interested in whether people know what it is and what to preach.Lets see.

The general gospel or gracious message from heaven is about the hope of salvation for mankind.

Now in order to even consider believing this message, one has to know who is Jesus the Christ and God his Father.

If this cannot be understood, the entre message is lost as if floated in one ear and out the other without the heart missing a heartbeat.

Most people, even those proud to be called Christian, do not know the gospel at all. It stays in at the mental level for endless useless debate.

At its core the Good News is that God does not hold our sins against us.

We hold them against ourselves and others.....and Satan encourages us to that end while constantly accusing us......but God according to I Corinthians 13:5 holds no record of wrongs.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The simple way to understand "what is salvation" is to understand what 1st Adam lost.

He lost eternal spiritual union with God.. and Adam's fall is the fall of us all.

So, 2nd Adam, who is Jesus...... was sent from Heaven, virgin born, to restore to each BELIEVER, what Adam Lost, for us all.

A.) Eternal Spiritual union with God = restored.

The GOSPEL< is explaining how its accomplished., which is, that Jesus was virgin born, lived under the law a sinless righteous life, and offers this to you from The CROSS.... in exchange for your unrighteous life and all your sins.

That is the Divine Exchange. (The Great Exchange)... (Listen to the song lyrics in the Video).

Jesus is our SIN Bearer and Blood atonement...>>His shed blood and death = is accepted by God on behalf of ""
ALL who call on the name of Jesus" by Faith, shall be saved""".... = each believer is forgiven all sin, and given then a new spiritual birth by God's Holy Spirit as "BORN>... Again".

What are the steps?

You hear the Gospel,.. and the HolySpirit reveals it as Truth.. and you decide to believe it...(Your Faith)... .. then God forgives all your sin with The Cross of Christ.. and now being forgiven,.. made sinless, God "who is A Spirit".. will birth your spirit into His by the Holy Spirit........

= Born.... again.

And you are born again as WHAT?

1.) "made free from sin"
2.) "having eternal Life"
3.) Now become an ETERNAL Child of God.
4.) Having received God's Eternal Righteousness.

Now, what is the most simple way to understand : SALVATION

That would be.. that Holy God cannot fellowship with you, cannot join Himself to you spiritually, in Spiritual Union... because you are not RIGHTEOUS... = "All have sinned, there is none RIGHTEOUS...no not one".

So, God provided Jesus on The Cross so that His SACRIFICE can be eternally counted as your RIGHTEOUSNESS, like this..

A.) Our "FAITH, is counted by God as (Christ's) Righteousness".

This is defined as "the imputed righteousness of Christ"... (look that up).(study that).

And what is that?
That is literally God taking Christ's Holy Life, and giving it to you, as "the Gift of Righteousness".... as if you lived it all your life...because you gave YOUR FAITH in Christ.. to God.. and Your "Faith is counted by God... as (Christ's) Righteousness).

Welcome to : SALVATION

Its a "GIFT".

"THE Gift of Salvation"
"The Gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS"
"The GIFT of Eternal Life",

Bullseye. That's the long version of what I said. Journey back to Eden. To how it was before the fall when we had fellowship with the Lord. Spiritual union. The bible is our roadmap to Eden. :)

The gospel is really very simple. Without going into the how at this point, the result is... there is therefore now no condemnation for them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. ROMANS 8:1
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ”
John 3:17 KJV
Saved from what you ask?
Condemnation and sin.
See also Matt 1:21

Saved for what you ask?
“But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. ”
Romans 6:22 KJV
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. ”
John 17:3 KJV

The underlying purpose in the whole process is that God may once again live among His people. In Eden, God walked with Adam. After the fall, and before Christ came, God had Moses build Him a sanctuary that He might dwell with them. Today, the church is the sanctuary, and the result is greater than what Adam had before the fall, the whole mystery of God revealed, for now it is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Coll. 1:27
Restored relationship.

A good example of the gospel, the 'good news' and it's message, would be the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8.

Not only was Jesus preached, but obviously, although not overtly stated therein, was sin and the need to be baptized as a remedy. Look at verses 36 and 37 below

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Obviously, sin and the need of baptism was also preached as part of the "good news" message, as well as the need to verbally confess your belief, which is also consistent with Romans 10:9-10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Also, add in the need to repent to the above as the jews were told to do on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38, and you have "the Gospel".

Read Acts 2:38-47 as well

Actually, HE has made it BETTER then before the 'fall'.

Right now it may not seem as so but soon all will be made CLEAR.

For now the Serpent remains and he continues in his deceptive ways upon the world.

Yet for us who are Called and Chosen and have received the forgiveness of sins AND those of us who have been Baptized in the Holy Spirit,
there is Freedom and the BEST is soon to Come!!!

I've told this story before, but I think it's appropriate here.

My mother-in-law had just died, and the whole family was attending the funeral. After seeing his great-grandmother one last time, my grandson asked me, with a 7-year-old's precociousness, "Grandpa, will we have clothes in Heaven?" Thinking of Revelation 7:9, I responded that yes, we will be given white robes. But my sister-in-law thought for a moment and said, "No, it will be like Eden again. We will all be naked and unashamed." The thought of my sister-in-law in the nude for all eternity kinda threw me off.

Having already known Good and Evil, I don't think we can ever be innocent again in the World to Come. But I assume God will have meaningful and purposeful work for us to do.

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.

See the "if you believe with all your heart,""" that cane first ???????????

This is the SALVATION PART.... and the water is subsequent to the Salvation, it comes LATER.... as the water baptism is just symbolic.

A lot of people who are obsessed with water baptism, dont seem to realize that millions of people per year, in countries that dont allow Christianity or BIBLES, trust in Jesus and are never water baptized.

Or, you have thousands in Prison, each year, who trust in Jesus and are born again, in their Prison cell, and they are ALONE.
Do you see any water baptism in their prison cell?

And you have perhaps millions of people, who are in a hospital, dying... and as they are about to die, they "call on the name of Jesus, and you shall be saved"... and they are born again, as they are dying.
Do, you see any water baptism in their Hospital Room?

So, you have to THINK, and not just always be "stuck on repeat" as a water cult would have all their deceived, stay that way.

But water baptism is not meaningless or else scripture wouldn't say repent and be baptized. So it means something but is not essential to Salvation.

Sorta like the crowns. There are 5 crowns I think, and each one has it's own requirements to be received and has it's own benefits in some spiritual way.

So to not be baptized is ok, but to be baptized is even better. It is very symbolic and at the same time it is more than that.

Water baptism is symbolic of being raised again, into newness of life., as a literal born again "new Creation".
The old man of sin is dead, and the Literal new creation, (symbolically coming up out of the water)... is simply symbolic.
Its a public statement of FAITH in Christ.

"Water cults", like Catholicism and others who teach that "Acts 2:38" (repent and be water baptized)... are teaching that THIS is Salvation, and that is why they lie and teach that "if there is no water baptism, then there is no Salvation"..

See that Lie?

That LIE is a "doctrine of devils" that came from a demonic bible created by the "cult of Mary" that is the Douay Rheims, version.

IN it, you find this "doctrine of devils'..

"born again..... BY water"..

Now read that again..

"born again........BY WATER"..

See that?
That is teaching the HERESY of "baptismal regeneration" = saved by water... or "the water washed away your sin" and you are "born again BY water".

The TRUTH is.. You are born again by THE HOLY SPIRIT, not by WATER, as water is just water... but the "water cults" teach that its SALVATION, and it has to be there.. or you are not born again.

Baptism is symbolic but that doesn't mean that it's not absolutely essential. Peter says Baptism saves us. We're told it washes away sins such as in Acts 22:16. Symbolic yes, because it's not the water itself, but it's obedience no different than when Naaman finally obeyed, dipped 7 times in the Jordan and was cured of his leprosy in 2 Kings 5. Was it the water? No. It was obedience, but the water was still necessary. Just like baptism. It's absolutely essential.
