Time to move on.

Back in high school I was pretty tight with a cross country teammate. After high school, we just didn’t have enough in common to maintain the relationship.

No relationship ending argument, just grew apart. This is life. People come in to your life for a season. Tyler Perry has a great skit on this about branches of a tree.
is tyler perry the one who at times dresses up as a woman. IF so i wouldnt heed such a man .
Isnt he the one that does that shows and at times shows up as this big woman . that is not good friend .
Or am i thinking of another .

I came to faith after getting married, and was the only Christian in both families, Also friendships were also established. I made new Christian friends but my closest friend is a non Christian, been that way for over 30 years. I have learned to share with the Lord and so I don’t need to the same dependency on people that I use to have, it’s released me from many things. So I enjoy my friends company, we have a laugh but I know she can’t meet my deepest needs and we also except our differences.
Now with my husband it was different and definitely created more problems x

I think I’m still a bit of a drama queen...that’s what keeps coming up in my mind...I think I read to much into something and make it into a drama....maybe “attention seeking”..I dunno.

I think I over reacted about a post Rita posted to me...well, at least I can see it now, not at the time though, apologies @Rita

Anyway,We had a really good heart to heart..my friend and I...all is good, I just think the air needed to be cleared, it was.Praise God!

i find it very hard and sad .
SO hard to laugh with those who i know are heading right to perdition . so hard .
The more we speak truth , speak the words of truth , i can gaurantee ya
either they had repented or , or they gonna do as they did to me ,
which is this , OH HERE COMES that bible thumper again , lets not invite him anymore .
You do realize your dear most best friend , which you admit believes not , her end wont be good .
What if she died tonight . would you laugh then , OR WEEP like a baby . WE need to HELP these poor lost souls .
NOW TRUTH DIVIDES . but TRUTH IS THE ONLY THING GONNA SAVE THEM . i aintthe hater .

In a limited capacity... for the purpose of trying to get them to understand and accept the Gospel

How can you win non christians to God if you do not freind them?

Jesus was a freind of Judas KNOWING Judas would reject him and turn him in.

The pharisees called jesus the friend of sinners.
JESUS corrected all error within his camp . most folks who friend folks do no such thing
and just laugh at their jokes and talk about the same stuff . Deadly .
WHEN JESUS led HE CORRECTED and HE taught TRUTH .
we must do the same or its all vain and all futile .

1 thing I think he taught us. He was nit sent to judge, but to saved.

AFTER he saved, then he worked on their life by correcting their thinking.

we should follow his example

So just because I still get on with her, and she remains a non Christian you presume that I never say anything. Just for the record her mum and dad, who use to be my pastor , are both Christians. The difference is we don’t ram it down her throat all the time.

How did you get on with chatting to your friend yesterday?
We cleared the air thank you,Sister.. I think i over dramatised our friendship..I’m asking God to help me understand me why I do this..I’m getting..attention seeking..x..I seek attention in other words, if that makes sense.

Only Gods love can draw her in, God showed me also, that she would be devastated if I ended our friendship.i know God loves her through me.so our friendship will continue..I’ve been her friend for 17 yrs..it’s had times where we never spoke for years.

I think God is drawing her to Jesus @Marvelloustime ...only the enemy is trying to stop it...I dunno, anyway, we’re still friends.

She loves hearing my testimony about how I became Born Again...she keeps commenting on the passion I have for God,pray he’s reeling her in through me,Sis,@Marvelloustime .

A follow-up somewhat to my previous topic:

It seems that many Christians,
in the interest of not being OF the world
have made themselves not IN the world.

Discussion questions:
- Do you have any non-Christian friends?
- If so, how do you maintain a balance?
- If not, how do you maintain a balance?
- Do non-Christians view you as a relevant human?

Would you cash out your retirement portfolio and hand it over to a drunk with a gambling problem?

But he's broke with a wife and kids....
He's gonna lose his house and they are all going to be homeless soon. He quit his job because it was full of people saying mean things to him about his poor production at work.

How effective do you think giving your retirement portfolio would help him?

Man do as man do , but lambs do as JESUS said to do .
This generation has no idea what the love of GOD really is let alone who GOD or CHRIST truly is .
Everybody panders to the victim card and judges like mad those who try and correct things .
