Hi Epi.the key of David, sensitivity of spirit.
Sensitivity of spirit really resonated with my spirit.
We know the Love Of God in our hearts, after 33 years of becoming Born Again,I still cry over this, knowing how much he Loves me, I still at times feel unworthy of His Love..
Anyway,I am going to watch the whole of your podcast,as it’s all about the spiritual ,which I can’t get enough of, after all God is a Living Spirit ,who we get to know deep within our hearts/spirit.
When we open our heart to God imo ,he opens his heart to us...the more we let go of self/ ego/pride,he reveals more and more of himself to us,
Short commentary...God desires to reveal His heart to you. Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). When you ask to know the heart of God, you can be sure He will answer this prayer because it is His will for you to know Him!
Gods peace is another, staying in Gods peace is pretty mind blowing....it’s a mystery...
Just my thoughts Epi,...will get back to you,God willing, after I’ve watched it...
Ps, may we all stay in the Love and peace of Christ..InJesus Name...Amen!
Epi, just a question, we open our heart to love one another ,would you say that is an act from us, that we sincerely want to follow God’s heart?
Therefore if we come before him with a sincere heart ,he will open our heart to know him more,...after all God is a God Of Love....I pray that we all follow his heart/ not our own..self centred/me, me,/pride / ego/puffed up self....what purpose does it serve?
Short commentary..Jesus kept it simple. He taught and demonstrated that love is an action. As John explains, “Let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18). Faith transforms us into people of love who live differently in the world.
Open my heart Lord to Love one another in your name....would that be surrendering our hearts to the Love Of God, to love one another, unconditionally?
Again me mumbling my thoughts.
I will leave with this scripture.
Rita, I found some things in the bible on the key of David and opening and shutting, and hope you'll find it edifying as I did:
Isa 22:20-24
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:
And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.
And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
That Is. 22 prophecy is a messianic prophecy (layered in with a prophecy about Eliakim) foretelling of the coming of Christ. The government (key/rule/power/authority) shall be upon His shoulder. We can see the hint about His crucifixion with the reference to the nail, and that He would be cut down.
Luk 11:52
Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have
taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
Rev 3:7-8
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things
saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
I know thy works: behold,
I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
Rev 5:2
And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is
worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
Rev 5:5
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not:
behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Rev 5:9
And they sung a new song, saying,
Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
(See here is an example where He shuts the door to understanding of the book on the wise and learned but opens it to little children: Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. )
Worth noting also that Christ also has the key to the bottomless pit….ie, authority over it, to open and shut it. (Rev. 9:1, 20:1)
From what I can see, this is all pointing to and revealing Christ, His Kingship, power and authority to rule in David’s place (as David’s rule was a type and shadow of Christ and His kingdom) and restore David’s fallen tabernacle through the gospel. CHRIST is the key of David essentially, it represents HIS power/authority and it is He who opens and shuts, and who opens/reveals the book (scriptures). HE is the door to the kingdom and has the power/key to both open and shut it.
Jhn 10:7-9
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
I am the door of the sheep.
All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Mat 25:10-13
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and
the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Luk 13:25-28
When once the master of the house is risen up, and
hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
