God says that God gets what God wants, so why do you claim God is wrong?

Isaiah 46:10
declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,'

Isaiah 55:11
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

John 6:39
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

Suddenly all of the infernalists are quiet. You see, they don't go where the scriptures take them, they try to make the scriptures fit into their infernalist theology.

Taunting us isn't going to get you the arguments you seem to crave. Most of us are done arguing with you. Whenever we give you a solid answer with a Bible verse to back us up, you just say "NUH-UH!" and use random verses that have little to do with your argument at hand to counter us. We gave you answers that you didn't like and you got angry. I don't know why you continue to make new threads about the same thing over and over again.

Amen!..Sis/ Brother, we serve a wonderful God.
Look how patient he is with us.

God is also never wrong..,always have a thankful heart, always come to him with a thankful heart.

Also.

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him" (ESV). “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!” (AMPC).

Psalms 145:8-9New King James Version (NKJV) The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.

Mt 26:39And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Notice in your verse, that you have 2 wills?

You have the free will of Jesus, shown as Jesus asking God to release Him from this Torture. (The Cross). (If possible).

And it was Possible, and the way it was possible, was for Jesus to choose not to do it.....but, He instead chose His Father's Will.

And then.......#2.... you have God's Will, that Jesus said..>>"not MY Will, but YOURS.....", and so, God's will became the CHOICE that Jesus made, to go to The Cross.

So, Just Like Jesus, we all have free will.

What is Free will?
Its the power of Choice.
Its the ability to make a decision, to choose a path... to decide to do something.

That's your free will in operation, every day, every minute.

A Born Again will always do the will of the Father...they may hinder his will at times..but, no matter what, Gods will, will always be done through them...

That’s what their purpose on earth is to do,,the will of the Father..through the power of the Spirit who indwells their heart..there can be no stopping Gods will.

Just my thoughts.

Joh 3:30He must increase, but I must decrease.

That's an interesting verse, isn't it.

As How can GOD, Increase? He's already God...

So, Jesus is explaining that the God Man, is about to become "the Sin Bearer" for us all., and "in Christ, there is no sin".. and all the born again are "in Christ".

Scriptures are so very interesting.....so very DEEP.

Or... He must increase in me while I decrease in me. His will is replacing my will as I become more like Him:

Or... He must increase in me while I decrease in me. His will is replacing my will as I become more like Him:

Jesus is "God manifested in the Flesh"... so, that can't decrease, but, the body of Jesus is about to decrease, as it becomes a Sacrifice fo all of us, on The Cross.

Remember........"God is A Spirit", and "Christ is THAT Spirit".

This can't decrease., as both are "one".

1jo 3:2Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Your verse is defined and explained : as "pre-destined to be conformed into the IMAGE of Christ".

That is your verse, defined, explained.

John is teaching about the RAPTURE........as that is when Jesus will "appear" to collect His "BRIDE".... and we shall all be "changed, in the twinkling of an eye". = "conformed into the Image of Christ'" = We get our new body...

See, the NT is very old, (Apostle's Letters).... and when these Apostles were alive, they expected Jesus to Rapture them, while they were alive.

Paul said that He had not yet "attained to the Resurrection", and that is "the dead in Christ shall RISE FIRST" and then "WE WHO ARE ALIVE"" shall be caught up also.
He was waiting for the Rapture his entire ministry, as was John, as were all the Apostles.

If Paul was here now, He;d be telling us....."Jesus is at the door".. ."all the signs are done"... "Get ready, as your redemption draweth NOW.... "

And this is the verse, that I chose. John 3:30. “He must increase, but I must decrease.” It's John the Baptist talking about Jesus, saying his purpose in this world is to decrease. That's what he must do, and Jesus must increase

I see it as...Jesus must increase more in our hearts, so that in time, we will have died to self, then all that remains is.,,,Jesus radiating from within us...outwardly.

After all, a child of God imo, should also be a good represent of Jesus...let the power of the Holy Spirit, do his work within us, making us into the image of Jesus.

In Jesus Name...Amen!

Indeed, and Jesus was increasing even before the cross ...

Lu 2:52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

It means that all selfishness must be abandoned and selfless living must be the founding principle of our lives. To “decrease” before God means we become humble. Humility is a way of giving up everything not of God and allowing only God to shine through

I have a simple question for you. Does God get what God wants? Yes, or no?

Does God get what he wants , you know I am not so sure. He wanted his people to follow him, trust him, ect - did they do that , I don’t think they did.
God wanted to lead his people, but what did they want ‘ an earthly king ‘ - so he gave the people what they wanted. ……..
Sorry, I have been going through the Old Testament - all the grumbling ect, kind of sticks in my mind.
It could be said that ‘ in the end ‘ God gets what he wants , but what a battle !!!!!

Please re-read the verses from Isaiah in my OP. God says that he gets what he wants. Is that what those verses say or am I misunderstanding?
