If Christians chose not to participate in the political process, embrace an overly spiritualized religion, abdicate their moral duty to vote, the inescapable conclusion is such people have determined that it is better for Christians to be ruled by unbelievers, atheists, the satanic and demon driven.

Are Christians Better Off Being Ruled By Unbelievers?

That is not really the question or option that God has set before every person and generation. What He has set before us all, is rather to choose between "life or death, blessing or cursing." It's really that simple.

Christians ought to vote accordingly.

Oh sure, I could do that. Or I could answer this post question by getting to the heart of the problem. Which I did.
If you got to the heart of the matter, you would have simply answered yes or no - and jettison the commentary.

Thank you for your provocative post!

So, as stated, some believers in this forum consider anyone who is not a Christian as an unbeliever; in fact, the “Christians in name only“ are essentially unbelievers.

That said, we will always be better off ruled by true believers—those who bring Christian values to the political sphere.

However, I think is fine to elect those of other faiths, if their values are consistent with Christian values, that is: they love God and try their best to love their neighbors.

Trying to convince Christians who will not vote, based on their interpretation of biblical principles, is likely an exercise in futility! But although it dismays, I will not judge.

Blessings.

Trying to convince Christians who will not vote, based on their interpretation of biblical principles, is likely an exercise in futility!
Recently, I learned 2 amazing things:
  1. There are 70 million Evangelical Christians, which constitute the largest voting block in America.
  2. Only 17% vote.
CINO’s, who don’t vote, are making themselves irrelevant in the public square. Such over spiritualization mocks Jesus practical caring for the physical, soulful needs of people. Ultimately, putting aside cynicism, politics is the art of what is practical.

First practical question; are Christians better off being ruled by unbelievers, atheists, satanists and demon driven? It’s a simple yes or no question - no matter how one interprets Biblical principles.

Men should not be “ruled” by men.

Religiously…
We have the Word of God.

Governmentally…
We have a Constitution.

Liberty….
Is a man ruling himself, and accountable for the consequences of his choices.

And why TRUTH is Paramount….
And serving is a VIRTUE.
IMO…

(Never much cared for men being called “rulers” or “leaders”….particularly in the political arena.)

Glory to God,

Christians should visible live out there faith I their lives, communities, at work, in their involvement in politics and at play.

We are commanded to love our neighbours, how loving is it if we permit society to reject the public awareness of Christianity and the benefits of Christianity to society.

Is there any benefit in who rules our country?

Would you like to live in North Korea or in Saudia Arabia as a citizen?

What we want are politicians heavily influenced by Christianity or who are visibly Christian.

It really does inspire “Catholic Christians” to vote in only one direction as if that should fix everything....but what is Vigano missing in his recommendations to his Catholic membership?

Who is identified in the Bible as the ruler of this world? Not just the ruler of America, which your population is notorious for ignoring the rest of the world in its estimation of what constitutes correct rulership.....whist other nations are getting sick and tired of the two party system that pretends to be democratic, America is still of the opinion that their leaders are anything but corrupt puppets of the real ruler of this world. It never matter who is in power...the devil will have his way.

And before you sound off about too much information @Wrangler, this is a debate forum where you have no right to stifle legitimate debate simply because you disagree with those who have a different view.
If Christians chose not to participate in the political process, embrace an overly spiritualized religion, abdicate their moral duty to vote, the inescapable conclusion is such people have determined that it is better for Christians to be ruled by unbelievers, atheists, the satanic and demon driven.
Christian are told by Jesus Christ himself that we are to be “NO PART OF THE WORLD”......why? Because of who is ruling the whole show whilst pretending that one side is better than the other to those who fall for this delusion. If history has taught us anything, it is that human rulership, no matter the label is an abysmal failure. The devil is in control of all of them.....(1 John 5:19)....and he revealed this fact when he tempted Jesus....over which Jesus would have rebuked him if it wasn’t true....

“So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time. 6  Then the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7  If you, therefore, do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.” (Luke 4:5-7)

How long have God’s worshippers been under the rulership of unbelievers Wrangler? The truth is they lost control of their land and their governance when they disobeyed their God and he allowed the Babylonians to conquer the Jews and take over their homeland, and take them prisoner, hundreds of years before Christ was even born. That is how long we have been ruled by unbelievers.

Did Jesus recommend any way to make the rulership of the Romans any better for the Jews who were chafing under their rulership? Were the Christians told to take any action at all to improve their lot under Roman rule? NO!!! But why not?

Because the “Gentile times” had to run their course and the prophesies in Daniel had to come to pass.....the March of world powers who held dominion over God’s people had not run its course. They are to conclude with the powers who rule the world now, in this “time of the end”.

So ignorance of the Bible’s explanations about what to do and what not to do, is evident in all who think that voting in human governments is somehow a duty.....far from it....it is a duty to remain neutral and allow “the world” to do as God permits. He is in control of all that the devil does in proving himself to be the better god and ruler of mankind......how much more pathetic does it have to get?
At present, satan is staring down the barrel of “time’s up”....and he is desperate now because he knows where he is going, and will take as many down with him as he can deceive. (Rev 12:7-12)

If you vote in any political power, you share responsibility for what they do with the power you gave them.
Every innocent life taken by the actions that you sanctioned, will be accounted to you.
What the world does is none of our business. They will account to God for what they do......will you be included in his accounting?

Think about that.

We are commanded to love our neighbours, how loving is it if we permit society to reject the public awareness of Christianity and the benefits of Christianity to society.
We are also commanded to love our enemies (Matt 5: 43-44).....so where do you draw the line? Can you love your enemies with weapons of mass destruction? Can you stand by and watch as the powers that be murder innocent women and children and not share responsibility?
Is there any benefit in who rules our country?

Would you like to live in North Korea or in Saudia Arabia as a citizen?
Since we are not to interfere with any nation’s governance, those who want to adopt Christianity do so in a quiet way, or move to other nations where it is safer. Many have fled for their lives and God has protected them.
What we want are politicians heavily influenced by Christianity or who are visibly Christian.
There is no such thing as a “Christian” politician......”power corrupts” human beings. It’s the very reason why we were never given power over each other in the beginning. God was to be our Sovereign Ruler, and we were to obey him in all things. He was to decide what was good and what was evil...not us.

When we took that upon ourselves and brought sin into the world, it was God who taught us how to conduct ourselves in a world that he had handed over to the devil, so that he could show all humanity the result of corrupt human rulership in the hands of sinful men (or women) deceived by the pretender ‘wannabe’ god, satan the devil, into believing that they could make it all better.......not one ever has....and never will.

Only the coming of God’s kingdom in the hands of his Christ will accomplish that....Jesus taught us to pray for it to “come”.....so that God’s will can be “done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”....has that happened yet?

Thank you for your post.

Please help me: where in scripture does Jesus say we are to have no part of the world. (I could not find that.)

The Apostle Paul said, “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.” (2 Corinthians 10:3)
Is that it?

And Jesus did say that although we are in the world, we are not part of the world, but is that really the same thing as “have NO part of the world.”

This is not a challenge: You clearly have a much more thorough knowledge of scripture than I, which is why I ask.

Blessings.

Thank you for your post.

Please help me: where in scripture does Jesus say we are to have no part of the world. (I could not find that.)
John 17:15-16….speaking of his disciples he said to his Father…..
“I do not request that you take them out of the world, but that you watch over them because of the wicked one. 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world.”

Before Pilate…
“Jesus answered: “My Kingdom is no part of this world. If my Kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my Kingdom is not from this source.” 37 So Pilate said to him: “Well, then, are you a king?” Jesus answered: “You yourself are saying that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is on the side of the truth listens to my voice.” (John 18:36-37)
The “whole world” is under the control of the devil. (1 John 5:19) What part is not then?
The Apostle Paul said, “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.” (2 Corinthians 10:3)
Is that it?

And Jesus did say that although we are in the world, we are not part of the world, but is that really the same thing as “have NO part of the world.”
Living “in the world” is one thing….we have no control over that….but to remain no part of it….it’s immorality, violence and bloodshed and the governmental agencies that perpetrate war on one another, Christians cannot be part of that. That is the devil’s domain.
This is not a challenge: You clearly have a much more thorough knowledge of scripture than I, which is why I ask.

Blessings.
Hope that answers your question. Luke tells us that world rulership was “handed over” to the devil….only one person could give the devil world rulership….the one that created it….
