When the truth is fully known to you Marks it will shift you off a creed foundation and place you firmly on Christ and his Apostles.

I know why he used the word Sin but one must be teachable to understand all that God did in Christ in reconciling the World to Himself.

What creed foundation? @marks only use Scripture and I commend him for that.

Marks quoted

2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

I asked him respectfully to explain why the Apostle used the Word sin and he avoided the question.

I get it, for who wants to have the true Christ as there foundation?

Basically what Marks was say "this take some study to shape it into my man-made creeds"

Let's be honest!

Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul (life) to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12

Why did God make him Sin for us? and number him with the transgressors?

The answer is found in his nature and what God achieved through his death.

I think his words speak for themselves to show where he sees himself, and what he sees his relation to others to be.

Much love!
The issue Marks was found in your response which seems to have happened again.

Why did God make Christ Sin for us?

If you don't know, be honest, if yor do, explain

You are J. You think you can post a copy and paste Greek and English text and think you have provided an answer?

I'll ask again...why did God make Christ Sin for us?

How did God make Christ to be sin for us

What you have presented in no way explains why?

What did God do in Christ which constituted him to be sin (who knew no sin!)

F2F
Why are you tap dancing-in what manner did God "constitute" Jesus hamartian? In a literal sense?

3x I asked you and you can't answer?

You made a statement, and I asked you a question. You've ignored my question, and now you fault me. So answer my question. Personally I think you won't because it was disengenous, but feel free to prove me wrong, I don't mind correction.

But maybe you don't want to answer questions. I've just remembered what you believe about Jesus. So when we're talking about Jesus' nature, maybe you'd prefer to hide that from others so you can draw them in with your questions but no answers, leading them into your error.

As for me, no thank you! I hope you can come to appreciate your Creator for Who He is, God in human flesh, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Much love!

@Johann @marks

I'll present this another way as it appears you are having trouble with the question.

1. This goes beyond ‘The Lord hath laid upon him the iniquity of us all’ (Isa 53:6). Christ was not only a sin bearer!

2. God made him to be sin for us was, ‘that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.’ He took our flesh (sin's flesh) , he was made under the law, and was made to be sin for us, that SIN's Power might be destroyed, that the captives might be redeemed, and made the righteousness of God in him. Hebrews 2:14-17

Two aspects of the Atonement of which Christian only holds the first (1)

Provided you are honest Johann & Marks that you only hold a belief in (1) then you will find when the Lord comes truth number (2) is where the work of God was done in Christ. You both don't hold that truth...yet

Do you understand?

J, I don't care about your respect of me - what ever gave you that notion? I'm only concerned with removing the error that you hold and teach. I've shown you what is right concerning the Lord and his sacrifice and how God reconciled the World to Himself. If you reject that and me that's your prerogative.

See @Johann

Was I wrong to question and to state the obvious?

What Marks has admitted is he doesn't hold to the Apostles teaching that God "made" Christ to be sin for us.

You know this is right what is being shown but I doubt you will place yourself on the Lords side.

Let's see.

I believe you are the one having problems with questions. I don't even think we are speaking of the same Jesus.

I did not address you, you addressed me, and you made an unexplained remark. I asked you to explain that remark and here we are on the garden path. If you want to show me you are serious, be forthright.

Much love!

You revealed your position Marks.

We can move forward in that knowledge and confirm my reply about your foundation being in man-made creeds to be accurate and true.
