Look around.....can't we see the restrainer is being taken away and the devil being allowed to work havoc as we speak? Jesus has been reigning and defeating enemies for over two thousand years...and His people have been reigning with Him...more than conquerors. These things are by faith not by sight. Death will be finally defeated at His return when He is done using it to defeat other enemies. No offense here, I was defending the Catholic church/Pope but I'm not Catholic. We ha e peoole on this forum who have a vendetta against the Catholic Church/ Pope and are demonizing them - which is wrong! They are part of the Body of Christ.
Liberalism has entered into the Church, but I have faith God has got it all in check. His children will not be snatched out of His hand, so whoever remains corrupted, falls away and remain lost, are reprobate.
It is interesting you mention trumpets. People in various places on the world have heard a trumpet sound.
Jesus is our Lord and God and so we worship Him. But the rest of the unbelievers are not and they are under Satan's rule. When Jesus returns, He will destroy all of his human enemies and lock up Satan and his demons for 1000 years, THEN He will physically sit in David's throne _ in Jerusalem _ and rule the world of all believers. All will worship Him for 1000 years.
"Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death."
1 Cor. 1:24-26
The GT, the 1000 years reign, then Satan is once again released to do his final deeds and finally is destroyed ...
then the end comes ( including the second resurrection) and at that time, death and Hades ( and every soul in it) has been cast into the Lake of Fire and destroyed. Then He will hand over the kingdom to the Father.
1Co 15:23-28
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
The end (of this world) is at the coming of Christ:
Mat 13:39
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:49
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Mat 24:3
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Mat 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Heb 9:26
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
2Pe 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (the context in this passage is clearly referring to the time leading up to the coming of Christ and judgment, which is this present age of grace…this now is the age of longsuffering in which souls may be saved before judgment at the coming of the Lord.)
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for NEW heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
Jesus is reigning NOW from the right hand of the Father (the thousand year time of longsuffering when there are scoffers scoffing at the idea of His returning to judge the world is THIS age), from heavenly Jerusalem, not earthly Jerusalem, through the body of His true church, in process of putting all enemies under His feet. All things HAVE been put under His feet, but we do not yet (necessarily) SEE all things put under Him. The last enemy to be destroyed (death) will be at His coming, when He is done pouring out His wrath, and death and hell finally get cast into the lake of fire. And then He will hand the kingdom back to the Father so that God may be all in all...at His coming at the end of THIS age.
