Scandal after scandal. Both Jesus and John exposed the sins of the religious leaders of Israel of that time. I am wondering if this means God is getting ready to judge......and actually deception/delusion is a judgment in itself upon all who did not receive a love of the truth, which will lead to wrath.

I have wrestled with Rev. 17 & 18 for many years, examining the different viewpoints. Certainly during John's writing of Revelation, ( 95AD) Rome was referred to as Babylon ( symbolically) yet the city Babylon still existed. Even Jerusalem was considered Babylon by some. But John's prophecy was about the far off future tome in the world. The present world would not react to a destruction of Rome as described in Rev. 18. They would if NYC was destroyed. Recently NYC has been going down, people are leaving on droves to escape the high costs, crime and crazy life of decadence.

All people have sinned and have been seduced in same way or form by Satan and His system. Christ had a solution, many are saved and many are lost. He will destroy Babylon, but it won't be just one city, it will be the whole world system.

If Babylon is really a modern city, representing many languages, nations, religions uniting, and building wealth beyond what the world has ever seen, and worshipping money with all sorts of idolatry and sin, it would NYC. It is my understanding that God sees a person's heart and tells us we are to know a Christian by their fruit, not the church they attend: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

"Judge not lest you be judged" I am not afraid to convict people of sins, but God is the one who will judge them. Judgment involves a penalty and in this case, the penalty of sin is death. He will determine who gets the death penalty. False religions ( outside the Judeo-Christian fold) lack Jesus as their Savior and so these are more of a concern then those who go to a church with Jesus displayed on a cross ( as a focal point), read and reach from the Bible, pray to the Father and wear a cross on their necks - I am not worried about them.

Man must worship something and so chooses from a long list of things to worship, mamon ... or himself. Satan leads people away from Christ. And God's people will not be snatched out of His hand.So atholocs are not entering the church doors to be led away from Christ. They may do sinful acts - as we all do don't we. It is as He planned it and is coming to a precipice. He could have given Moses the 1960 edition of the Encyclopedia Britanica for that matter, or don't believe He is omnitient? This is how well defined His plan is. Prophecy is fulfilled with hair-splitting accuracy because every person, place, thing and event surrounding it was known by God. Otherwise, man could mess up His plan and He would constantly have to make adjustments ( millions everyday). No He has it all in check and that is the God I chose to believe in, the Author of Our Faith, the Creator.

It is my understanding that God sees a person's heart and tells us we are to know a Christian by their fruit, not the church they attend: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

He will determine who gets the death penalty. False religions ( outside the Judeo-Christian fold) lack Jesus as their Savior and so these are more of a concern then those who go to a church with Jesus displayed on a cross ( as a focal point), read and reach from the Bible, pray to the Father and wear a cross on their necks - I am not worried about them.

I noticed you said you are not afraid to convict people of sins .
Good . and i , LIKE You , already know GOD IS THEIR Judge and not me .
But warning against wolves and false prophets and leaders and even naming them , That aint judging at all

What good . OH you mean perhaps the extra monies that sometimes these instituitoins might have done for some poor .
WHILE that work was good , their heart and doctrine is still wicked and evil to the core .
When i was in boyscouts we were taught to do good
and we did do good to the poor , we did help the elderly , we did do many good works

Just cause one can give money to the poor or build a house or etc

I understand Biblical warnings about tares, sins within the Church, false prophets; but amigo de christo, you need to be more bChristo,
As we live, study, worship and love one another, we keep these warnings under our hats orbin the back pocket not wear them as a mask on our face. They are similar to being aware of the potholes in the road, warning signs of dangerous curves or possible flooded roads when it rains. These are a small portion of the journey. But what we experience most of the time and see on our journey is wonderful, beautiful and we receive much joy, peace, love and hope. Our main focus is on Jesus, not the ugly flaws and potholes along the path. We avoid them but are not consumed by them, we merely steer around them and really ignor them. These should be at the back of your mind, not an obsession, like a red flag that pops up every now and then.
I just read 20 of your posts , most of them are motivated towards condemnation of other people, people who claim to be Christians, Catholics and even Protestants. You have this negative, angry and mean persona that to me is spiritually unhealthy. Always on the offensive attack; ..."those false teachers, all wicked, antichrists, blind and dangerous" people who claim they are believers in Christ.
I don't hear you pouncing on atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, it's always these evil people who call themselves Christian.
If that is your motivation, being consumed with people whom you have judged and labeled false Christians and you likely don't really know any of them, how are you different than the accuser of the brethren? Satan knows who his own are, leaves them alone and accuses the brethren.
I look for fruit in a person, what they say and more importantly what they do: their love, joy, peace, hope, faith, gentleness, goodness, patience. We are to be forgiving, gracious and merciful as God has been to us.

Please ask yourself (and don't tell me), Am I blessed, fruitful, is my life good? Or am I miserable, angry, disappointed and bitter to the point that it reflects in my mean spirited posts all the time?
