Lol! You definitely never heard his material on this topic.
The hidden nessage in Genesis 5 doesnt take one whit of subjectivity!

It takes either a knowledge of the Hebrew language, or the software for the Hebrew language which is readily available and free

Are you suggesting that a bunch of rabbis conspired to hide a summation Jesus's Gospel message through codifying it in Genesis 5?

All of the names listed in Genesis 5 have Hebrew meanings. Look up all the meanings of the names in order and write them down. Then you have an objective sumation of the Gospel message!

Subjectivity! Pffft! EVery bit of bible codes is very objective, so you have voiced an opinion only.
Well I was speaking generally and not specifically. I do not know Chuck Missler's stances. but the title throws a red flag of caution.

I extensively use blue letter bible and Bible Hub and have studied the biblical languages. I do not know his message on Genesis 5- I was merely commenting on the title and how it appears to be the genre of those who find "secret messages" in the bible.

Well I reread Genesis 5. I do not know what this Chuck Missler has to say about it, but would be interested.

That is one verse; do you ignore all the others that add more to what is necessary? You must take all scripture into consideration to come up with all the requirements not just one verse. What about this one? Do you not believe this in Jesus own words?

Mark 16: 15-16

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

So what is your problem with grace through faith?

That you would have to get up off your chair and walk in it?

Were you ever in the military?
Did you show up for boot camp?
Did you receive the training?
Did you sit in the corner on a chair while the others were training?

Dod you graduate as a Lt Colonel for doing nothing?

Do you want a different scripture?

How about this one?

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.../KJV

Do you have any problem with this scripture?

I have no problem with. God's grace through faith but faith alone is the problem. It also requires repentance and baptism which can't be ignored

Ok. So it sounds like you are admitting that you were wrong and merely posted premautrely without your ducks in a row. No problem.

So what? So you have to repent and turn your heart away from the world and sin. What in the world is wrong with that.

When my friend went through boot camp they had a sign in his barracks, No Foreign spies allowed.

Is that ok for the military of the country to do that? What if you didnt want to be not a spy? Would you still expect for them to accept you?

That's weird.

Well as personally addressing Missler, yes I was premature. As addressing the title fo the book, I strand firm. any book with that kind of title needs to be handled with caution until more is known. the general genre of books with that kind of title (which is what I was addressing and not Missler per se) is fraught with all sorts of bad teaching.

But i would like to see what Missler says about Gen. 5.

Boot camp has nothing to do with scripture nor can be used as analogy.

And reading scripture is additive. You can't take a single scripture and build a doctrine around it while ignoring others, as you're trying to do.

You didn't answer their question though.

Look to Romans 10:9-13.
And, John 7:38 Jesus declares: “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them”.

We are saved the moment we have the faith of God by his grace.

That is absolutely 100% incorrect and not supported by scripture at all. Go read the book of Acts also referred to as the book of conversions. No one was saved as you indicated. After you believe you're still in sin and as long as you're in sin, you're still lost. Go study.

What is wrong about God's words in those passages I shared?

Interesting.

Believers who serve God together are considered "fellow Soldiers" in scripture, so I thought it was a great analogy. Paul refers to them as fellow sodiers in

Phillipians 2:25
25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.../KJV

And as a companion in labor, so what's that if not work? It's very much like the military.
Getting born again with the promise of redemption is the beginning of that Brother. You dont get saved and then sit down for the war. There is a real spiritual war going on.

It's true that Jesus already won the victory...but we still have to, enforce the victory until He comes. Those who work the kingdom are doers of the word. Those who sit in a chair are called hearers of the word.

Need another one?

Philemon 1:1-4
1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

2 And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,../KJV

So it was a good analogy to being in the Military. If I was trying to build a doctrine out of it, there wouldnt be the hymn, Onward Christian Soldiers...

Getting born again isnt the end, it's the beginniing. Now we are spiritual children of God and so muct learn these things and grow in Christ. That takes getting on your feet sometimes, it takes getting on your knees sometimes. They say the hardest part of living as eternal spirits is the first 100 years, lol.

Do you want my interpretation or the mainstream church's interetation?

What is that? A trick question? You say your Christian that means you already know the answer! Right?
