Also, there is one verse that has concerned me all along my walk and it is: "

2 Peter 1:9

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins." this could mean that we are only forgiven for past sins, don't know, but it is concerning and worth a look into. JMHO
It of course confirms we are only forgiven of confessed sins that are past, as Paul states it.

But it is also speaking of them once forgiven and washed from all our old sins.

"Forgetting' that fact, must show what God sees in the heart, if any of His sons do return to our old sins and vomit.

What exactly does He see that we've forgotten? The fact that we were once forgiven and cleansed from our old life of sin. It must therefore be necessary to first forget the mercy of God upon our souls to forgive all our past. That is taking God's mercy for granted.

Such forsaking of the mercy of God must therefore include forsaking the fear of the Lord, which we had in our hearts when first repenting of sinning for Jesus' sake. That is a fast pathway back to our old ways. It's a pride of heart that forgets we too are only saved by mercy and grace through repentance of dead works.

It's the pride of heart of Lucifer to forget he too was a created angel by God. And so, we too can forget 'where we've come from', and that we are new creatures created by Christ. We begin to trust in our own heart and faith and creation, to save and justify us with God, while returning to the beggarly elements of the world.

It's like a prince guaranteed inheritance, that goes out and riots with the 'commoners', while trusting he is exempt from the results of such rioting, that the 'common people' are prone to.

It's like the judge's kid that hangs with the outlaws from time to time, expecting to be exempted from the justice of the law. That can of course happen among unjust judges that have respect of persons and play favorites. But that is never the case with the righteous King and Judge of all the earth:

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

I guess you forgot that part of the passage here:

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

This passage is the bema seat judgment all believers stand before to have our works judged for rewards or loss. Not for salvation. This is different from trhe great white throne judgment.

And, if we finish The Rest of our Judgment, we find:

1 Cor 3:

14 "...If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself Shall Be Saved;
yet so as by fire."

Thus Confirming "The Eternally Saved" can "use Wrong building materials," and No verses for:

Amen.
If I read your response before replying to knot head, I could have saved my answer for you so succinctly did so.

The Bible teaches us that our works judge us, not our faith. We aren't judged by what we believe, but by what we do.

Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

In the Bible good works have always been necessary to be judged righteous with God. That includes all NT believers, because God is not a respecter of persons when righteously judging any man's work.

The Bible never says we are judged by our faith alone, and not by our works. We are justified by works, because our deeds judge our faith, whether it is of God or not.

Good works is not just a show of faith, but are the necessary means of being just and righteous with God. Christ comes to make our works truly good, because they are not from a pure heart of faith. He does not come to bypass works and judge us by our faith alone.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

We see here how we are not only justified by our works, but we are also resurrected unto life by our works being judged as good with God.

Faith without works is so useless, because without the good works we do by faith, we do not receive the reward of inheriting the kingdom of God forever.

Faith is not the end goal. Good works are the goal of faith, because the reward of inheritance is by good works, not by faith alone.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

The Bible says being charitable in life is greater than faith. Faith and hope are important, and faith is the gift of God, so that we can please Him by doing good. Doing good and not evil is how we are judged by God to be worthy to walk with Him in white forever.

Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
Agree. Good job.

It of course confirms we are only forgiven of confessed sins that are past, as Paul states it.

Forgiveness of sin, is not "past sin"... its all sin.

The Blood and Death of Jesus, is the reason.

See, God has "made JESUS... to BE SIN, for us".... (The Born again) and the Born again have become the "righteousness of God, in Christ".

A.) From the moment that the Believer is born again, they are redeemed from Sin, and are become a "SON - Daughter" of God.

You can't be one of those, if SIN continues to be imputed to you, and its not....

Why not?

AA.) Because "Jesus is the ONE TIME ... ETERNAL .. SACRIFICE .. FOR SIN"..

So, THE BORN AGAIN BELIEVER'S sin is "on Christ" who had died for it all, and Christ's righteousness is become the believer as the "new Creation in Christ".

READER, if you are born again, and not just water baptized and religious, and you are always worried about sin, then you need to learn about your Salvation, and you can't learn what you need to know from heretics who believe they have their sin..

Read these verses, and do some study.

Thats not what the church teaches you are saved by faith. No Christian church teaches works saves.God only rewards faith in this life but you can bear fruit for God and receive a greater reward which you are encouraged to do but it won't save you.Only the sacrifice Jesus made saves you.In the White Thrown Judgement those without faith will be judged for their works. All believers are saved by faith.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

If Jesus does not raise you up your are considered dead. But as you see all will be raised up and judged at the end not one will escape.Justice must be served the word of God itself. You have your chance in Jesus to die for your sins but you must have faith without it your going to the White thrown judgement.

Ya that's what I posted REV20 11-15.I am more concern about dispelling the myth that works saves instead of the sacrifice Jesus made.

I always like to add the line that the Minister starts the service with every time that I go there.

"You can't earn it You can't buy it and you can't raise yourself up at death it is a 100% free gift that you did nothing for."

He likes to make sure everyone understands before he starts.

Noone is "judged for their works" at the GWT.. so, what you posted isn't true.

Listen.

In Eternity.......there is only one thing God is going to JUDGE ...

A.) Christ Rejector

"never believed in Jesus". "was never born again".

THAT is what God is going to JUDGE.......not works.

Let me simplify this for the READER.

In Eternity God will ask....>>"what did you do with my SON".

A.) "Trusted in Him" = you get to stay in Heaven, because you were born again before you DIED.

AA.) "never trusted in Him"... "Depart".. "Go directly to Hell"........ John 3:36

People who died in the last 5 mins and went to Hell, didnt go there because of their WORKS.., and their water baptism didnt keep them of Hell, as they were told by DECEIVERS>.

They went to Hell because they never Trusted in Christ and died "in their sin", never born again... and that is to "willfully" commit the "unpardonable sin"... and that one, sends you to Hell, as that is the Eternal JUDGEMENT against that sin.

Dear self-proclaimed evangelist, @Behold:

PEOPLE GO TO HELL BECAUSE THEY ARE SINNERS!!

"The wages of sin is death."

The "unpardonable sin" was a sin committed by the Pharisees and Scribes only. They said that Jesus' power came from Satan.

Do your homework. You have been teaching many heresies! Pay heed to Hosea 4:6.

That needs re-construction because;...
...."faith without works is dead".

Only the..... new age religion..... groups likes to accent Bible interpretation and division...!!!
