No. Not at all.Do you ever get tired of winning debates with me?
ROFLMAO.Having a one-on-one relationship with Christ has NOTHING to do with what the debate is.
Taken, go back and read what I have written and get back with me so we can have an honest discussion.
A "side book" is not the same as the Book of Mormons. If you can't comprehend that then there is no reason for us to further debate this.
Having a one-on-one relationship with Christ has NOTHING to do with what the debate is.
Jane,Mary: this has nothing to do with being a Christian. Catholics openly don't believe in sola biblia.
Wow......you are a changed man all of a sudden.I have been honest with you.
Nope! That is a complete lie or complete ignorance. I'm going with ignorance.Good grief Mary….side book, companion book same same thing…
Mormons used the BIBLE AND the Book of Mormons….
Catholics used the BIBLE AND the Catechism….
So what?
And you continue to amaze me. Where did I say that people who have a one-on-one relationship with Christ but are not Christians is hysterical.ROFLMAO.
Mary, you continue to amaze. The idea that there is this group of people who have a one-on-one relationship with Christ but are not Christians is hysterical.
Nope, didn't miss it.You must have missed this part.
Joseph Smith is a Christian martyr in a country founded on religious liberty. No other religious leader can say that.
Wow......you are a changed man all of a sudden.
I agree with you. It doesn't matter what you believe. FINALLY, we agree. There you go again, trying to make this personal. It doesn’t matter what I believe.
What matters is that LDS believe it.
Nope! That is a complete lie or complete ignorance. I'm going with ignorance.
The Mormons consider the Book of Mormons as Scripture. We do not consider the Catechism as Scripture.
Funny....a Protestant telling a Catholic what the Catholic Church teaches![]()
Joseph Smith was a brave Christian man who made a claim that no one could verify, and he was one of many Christian martyrs in a country founded on religious liberty.Joseph Smith is a Christian martyr in a country founded on religious liberty. No other religious leader can say that.
I was right. Ignorance.Do you have quotes of Scripture in your Catechism?
uh ya….so what….don’t much care what you or Mormons “consider” their companion books to be….
Petty point….same ‘ole Mary…except that…
I doubt Catholics who wrote and re-write updated versions of your Catechism consult you or that Mormons consulted you as to what you think about “religious” companion books…
What is “almost comical” is Mary does not see the hypocrisy in her anti-Book of Mormon stance….
I am! And you are also the same.......Your point? You are same ‘ole Mary….
I am not sure why you would want to present a PUBLIC lie to other members on this forum to make them believe I wrote that. Your character shines through........No. Not at all.
That is a complex question. LDS church has various what they consider to be "latter day revelations". Some counter new testament statements on marriage in heaven and perhaps other areas which include biblical direction for alcohol use in misery and age related illnesses. I will be clear in that I do not direct others regarding alcohol use as a child of God.Drop your opinions on whether you think Mormons (Latter Day Saints) are Christian or not and why, please keep all debating friendly, thought it would be a fun topic to start and I'm a little in between on the topic and I'd like to hear Christian viewpoints on the matter as Mormons do believe they are Christians.
I was right. Ignorance.
Yes, there are quotes from Scripture in the Catechism. It's not Scripture quoting Scripture. Soooooooo What's your point?
The FACT is Mormons consider the Book of Mormons to be on par with the NT. Do you? (I know you are not going to answer but I love to see you squirm)
Mary, I can't remotely take a Catholic arguing pro-sola scriptura as a requirement to be "Christian" seriously. This is beyond silly. So you are WRONG when you say it has nothing to do with being Christian! It has everything with being Christian OR Mormon since Mormons have ADDITIONAL Scripture.
Keeping it real with the facts..........Mary
