It seems that those demons line up at the door and ask for entry.
They use the same lies that gained them entry in the first place to enter again. (and worse)

Unless we resist the devil, he will re-enter. Our choice to be possessed by Jesus, or by demons.

James 4:7 NIV
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

[
Those who minister deliverance from demons (by casting them out) will typically only work with demon possessed Christians. Non-Christians will end up in worse condition when the demons return. (Luke 11:26)

There is a method commonly used by these ministers that is important to understand. However, a study of Jesus' deliverance ministry reveals that he used only one method. Listening to the Father for direction. Each time was different. If you can hear and follow the audible voice of God/Jesus, that is the best method. Jesus' sheep hear his voice and follow.

Here's the method. (I know, I know...) - LOL

1) Identify the problem.
2) Identify the lie that allowed the devil access. All the way back to the earliest memory of it.
3) Renounce the lie. (removes the legal grounds for possession)
4) Replace it with God's truth.
5) Cast out the demon.
6) Don't allow the demon to return. (resist with God's truth to battle the lie)

Identify "claim tickets" and disregard them.

Example:
You sneeze and someone asks you if you are sick. (a claim ticket)
Will you claim wellness, or sickness? Your choice.

First of all, we need to remember that Satan and His Demons have been chained up for the past 2000. So they can't deceive or posses any Christian. Jesus said He bound Satan "the strong Man of the house, to plunder His goods". Translated that means that Jesus bound Satan in great big chains, so He can't bother God Children ever again.
What denomination (demon-nation) did this doctrine come from?

Satan and his demons can do absolutely nothing without God's express permission each and every time. However, God does allow them to tempt us in order for us to grow in virtue. Without temptation, there is no virtue. Demons usually attack us (with God's permission) through one or a combination of the following: Our imagination, our memory (especially images), and our emotions.

Through our own actions, too, we can open the door to demonic influence. According to Fr. Jocis Syquia—the director of the Office of Exorcism and author of Exorcism: Encounters with the Paranormal and the Occult—lists 10 demonic possession gateways. They are the following:

  1. Occult involvement This includes going to albularyos, faith healers, or mangkukulam, using anting-anting, and calling on spirits through a Ouija board or playing “spirit of the glass.” For example, in the case mentioned earlier, Fr. Syquia found out that all 50 of the schoolchildren he exorcised had psychic powers, because their parents had taken them to albularyos whenever they were sick.
  2. Traumatic experience (sex abuse, physical abuse, etc. Deep-seated emotional wounds, intense negativity, and unforgiveness can make one more susceptible to evil spirits.)
  3. Opening the third eye (certain types of Eastern meditation, etc. This happens when one is born with the ability to see spirits, has their third eye opened, or uses drugs to enter altered states.)
  4. Contamination (victim of occult activities This occurs when one becomes a victim of occult practices—say, if someone hires a mangkukulam to put a curse on you.)
  5. Sinful lifestyle (habitually living in sin vs committing a sin. If one continues to be obstinate about certain sins—especially mortal sins, spirits can attach themselves to one’s body little by little. )
  6. New Age practices (Practitioners of reiki and tarot card reading often say that what they do is harmless, since all they do is read energies. However, the Catholic Church maintains that any practice that has to do with healing or manipulating energies creates openings for demonic attack.)
  7. Unforgiveness (Holding grudges, ongoing resentment, etc.)
  8. False Christian beliefs and practices (Heresies, blasphemies, etc.)
  9. Pornography (73% of women and 98% of men report viewing pornography in the last 6 months!)
  10. Satanism Self explanatory.

Demonic influence can take on different forms.

1. The most popular that people know about is demonic possession. This happens, but is relatively rare. However, it is increasing more and more in our day.
2. Demonic obsession. This is where demons flood your thoughts with evil thoughts, etc.
3. Demonic oppression. Where bad things happen to people far beyond coincidence. Example: A man loses his job, wrecks his car, his home burns down, and his wife leaves him within a two week period, all at once. The possibility of demonic oppression is there. (Not an absolute given, but the possibility.)
4. Vexation. Another rare one, but people have had demons carve letters and symbols on their bodies.
5. Infestation. This one is fairly well-known, but not necessarily under this label. Similar to demonic possession, where demons control a person's body, demons can inhabit an object or place. Sometimes we think the place is haunted.

It has been said by exorcists that they estimate that 25% of our population suffers from demonic influence of one type or another.

The book sayin Luke 4: 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

So we see that satan uses his power with the kingdom of the earth. Now think about what we just read, the Devil says, "all the Kingdom are his", and that he is worshiped by those to whom he gives power to. Now, if he asked the Lord to worship him, while he was in the flesh; what about the rest of us? Let's go into Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Think about it, how does he deceive the whole world? Which means me, you and everyone else has been deceive at some point for the scriptures did not say he deceive some of the world, or part of the world, but the whole world. Let's take a look and see how Satan used his power with these kingdoms. Let's go into Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. This places are the church, brothers and sisters.

Let's go into Luke 22:52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

Did you notice it was the church people who came to arrest Jesus? They did the bidding for there "father" the Devil. I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:37-44)

See, spiritual wickness is in the pulpits of the church, which is the highest place on the earth. The church is the true government that governs the earth. The men in the postitons of feeding the flock teaches the lies of the Devil, they deceive the people into worshiping another Jesus. Paul said in 2Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

You have absolutely zero power to cast out Devils. That power was only given to the Apostles and nobody else was given it after the Apostles, so you're fooling yourself to believe that anyone can cast out Demons.

I was in agreement with you up to this. We most certainly do have the power to cast out evil spirits.

That is the miracle that Jesus did the most in His ministry while He walked the earth. And Jesus told us that everything that He does we shall do and more after He is gone to the Father.

The fact is Jesus bound Satan and His Demons in chains 2000 years ago, so they can't posses anyone. I've never heard of a genuine case of Demon possession, in the past 2000 years. I know you believe in Hollywood but I believe in God.

I've never heard such a thing. So, all of them are chained up right now? There are no demons at all? So is all this evil that I see rising in the world an illusion?
You'll have to show me some scripture to prove what you say here. Where is this at in the Word?

I agree with you here. First they have to go ask the Lord if they can sift you or whatever, like it illustrates in Job and if they get permission to sift you that doesnt open the door. We have to do that. Jesus wants to test our faith and to teach us so He allows them to come to us and try to sift us. If we resisit the devil and He flees, I think we get promoted in some small way.

And submitting to the Lord is walking with the Lord. And with God with us, who can stand against us?

We have met the enemy and he is us. (Remember that?!)

I'm not sure if a spirit filled Christian can be possessed by an evil spirit. Probably not. But! I think the same spirit filled Christian can be oppressed by evil spirits. They entice us and tempt us and out thoughts in our head and then we choose to sin or we listen to our conscience and not answer the door!

Jesus said... (full passage = Luke 11:18-26)
Notice in the quote below that the delivered person has the house swept clean and put in order. Saved?
But the demon returns with his worst buddies. Possession?
Why were they invited back in? How does this happen?

Luke 11:24-26 NIV
“When an impure spirit comes out of a person,
it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’
25 When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.
26 Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself,
and they go in and live there. And the final condition
of that person is worse than the first.”

[
Mathew 12 vs 43-45
When the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he passes through waterless places seeking rest, but he finds none. Then he says I will return to my house from which I came. And when he comes he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and brings with him seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man becomes worst than the first. So shall it be also with this evil generation. The key word here is" empty". "I will never leave you nor will I forsake you. Another part of my calling Steve.

That's an interesting passage! The way I understand it iis, when an evil spirit is cast out of a man it goes away and the place is left vacant without any spirits. Now his place is clean & swept out and put in order...but if the fellow doesnt start following Jesus (and this is important for us) and become Holy Spirit filled then it is still vacant.

Many christians have an encounter or a salvation event and then they go home and sit on their blessed assurance and not pray, not read the Bible, nothing. So they have no Holy Spirit. The Baptism of the spirit (and even the indwelling) come after salvation. But if the follower does not apply themselves to the word of God and pray without ceasing, then their house is vacant and they are susceptible to temptation and so forth.

And that brings us to the big question. If the Believer succumbs to the temptation then can the spirit enter then? Did they not open the door and welcome the temptation in?

So it comes back with seven other even nastier demons? o wonder is tells us to diligently guard our heart and pray unceasingly. Reach for the Holy Spirit in the Mornings when you start your day.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Eph 6:10-13 NKJV)

While you Christian Soldier...may or may not be possessed of a demon...your mindset has certainly been affected by the religious workings of that which you do not believe exists.

Redd...:)
This is childish nonsense, show me a single verse of scripture which says that an Elect Saint of God, such as myself can be possessed by a demon.?

Why bothered to ever study the bible, you would know that Satan and His Demons powerless against Gods elect. They're a bunch of dogs on very short leashes. They have been chained up for the past 2000 years so they don't exist in my realm.

You should think before making nonsensical comments, you need to back your opinions by scripture otherwise they're nonsense.

That's a dangerous position to take. Yet very common in the church. That scripture gives assurance of deliverance from demons, but does not guarantee that we cannot give the entry. If you push Christ off the throne of your life, who takes his place? If Christ is no longer driving, where do you suppose that you are going? More to say in following posts. But this needs to be established first.

2 Corinthians 3:17 NIV
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

/
I've heard a lot of nonsense, but this idea that I can push Christ off His Throne has to be among the most ridiculous. I don't know if your serious, but I can tell you Christ is stronger than I am. He would beat me to a pulp if I ever tried to do something that stupid.
Nobody pushes Christ around.

You have some unorthodox ideas. If Satan and angels are currently locked up, this world would be very different than it is now.
That's not true at all, you have to believe in this "the Devil made me do it" nonsense, to make that opinion float.

The fact is, men are totally depraved, they hate God, they love sin and are enslaved to Satan. Satan doesn't need to do anything, He already has the non elect captive to do His bidding. He doesn't need to do anything, his children do the works of their father, regardless of anything.

Remember, God destroyed the entire population of the world, save 8 people. He did it because their deeds were evil continuously, He will destroy it again with white hot lava and the earth will melt and then He will create a new world.

God is only withholding total destruction, until the last of His elect are converted and added to the Body of Christ. Destruction is guranteed, and it has nothing to do with Satan or His Demons, it's because of sinful man. Man doesn't need any help from Satan to be wicked, he is already born wicked and everything he does in life is evil continuously.

We don't have any power to cast out Demons as they are much more powerful than we are and they are much smarter than men. No man is any match for a Demon, nowhere dos the Bible suggest that anyone can cast out a Demon. That power was only given to thew Apostles, but when Jesus defeated the

Colossians 2:1415

having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Matthew 12:28–29

28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
https://www.bible.com/bible/compare/MAT.12.28-29
The above verses confirm that Christ defeated principalities and powers, He triumphed over them on behalf of His people. So they no longer have any power over Christians. The unbelievers don't need the Devils help in any way, they are totally depraved and wicked so they do their Fathers will anyway.

Every single converted person was delivered from the Devil and His Demons. To be saved means we have been delivered from the power of the Devil and His Demons. So all of us were born Demon possessed, but as soon as you are born again you become a new creature and the Devil no longer has any power over you.

So the only thing Christians can do for a Demon possessed person is to share the gospel with them and pray for them. Beyond that we are powerless, only God can deliver a sinner. https://www.bible.com/bible/compare/MAT.12.28-29

What happened just prior to his crucifixion? I heard that he experienced some rough treatment.

View attachment 48752

[
That's rubbish, Jesus came to be pushed around and tortured and murdered. That's the whole purpose of His coming, so nobody pushed Him into it, He gladly allowed them. He created those who crucified Him for that very purpose.

Jesus is in full control of everything man does, nothing happens apart from His will, so it's all good. Everything is going exactly as Jesus planned. Even the coming destruction of the world where billions of men women and children will be burned alive, is according to His plan.

Does that mean you don't have a free will?

[
No it doesn't, I am free in Christ. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. But I'm not free to be an evil doer as that's not in my new nature.

Everyone is free to act according to his nature, a wicked man cannot do anything good. Just as a righteous man cannot do anything wicked. We can only do things according to our nature, we can't go against our nature as it governs us so nobody has a free will in the sense that you think of free will.

That free ill doesn't exist outside of your imagination.
