There is the manner he said he would return, which is with the clouds of heaven. And there is the warning against those saying " here he is" or "there he is."

Why do you think Jesus has not returned as He said He would in the New Testament?
He is here already, “ruling in the midst of his enemies” just as David prophesied. (Psalm 110,1-2)

He has not manifested to judge the world as yet because he has been “separating the sheep from the goats” during this time when the fulfilment of all that he foretold in Matt 24:3-14 has been our reality.

The angels who appeared to the apostles after Jesus had ascended to heaven, said that he would return “in “the same manner” as they saw him leaving.......his ascension was not observed by any but his closest companions.....the world at large was unaware of what took place.
He left invisibly and would return the same way......giving us the world events that would identify the last days of this world. If a “sign” of his “presence” was necessary, then it was obviously not going to be observed by the world...only by his true disciples.

If that's the case then why is this world being run so terribly?

No Auntie,
Jesus did not return in 1914. The JW pyramid prophecy was false. Also, Jesus did not come invisibly. Jesus warned us not to listen.. The JW 1914 kingdom new good news is not the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Paul said let them be accursed.

23At that time, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. 25See, I have told you in advance.
26So if they tell you, ‘There He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. ---Matt 24

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!

Because Christ was to begin his rulership “in the midst of his enemies”, he was not initially sent to correct the world situation then, but to allow the devil his last hurrah....his final chance to take the unworthy ones down into oblivion with him.
There was a “war in heaven” where the devil and his hordes were cast down to the earth “having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time” before Christ imprisons them in a deep abyss. (Rev 12:7-12) Only then can the Kingdom rule the world, and bring us back to our rightful beginnings.....Jesus came to give us back what Adan lost for us.

God knows those who belong to him...and he will see to their spiritual security whilst they navigate their way through a virtually godless world....like Noah’s day. (Matt 24:37-39)

In the devil’s world, all religious and governing bodies are corrupt from the top down. We see this in their ineptitude and in the exposure of their agendas to promote themselves and accrue wealth....position.....and power....all of which corrupts humankind.

We are deep into “the time of the end” and soon now, Jesus will have separated the sheep from the goats and it will be showtime! We already know what is going to be the sentence carried out on the goats, and the blessings in store for those who passed that test of their faith.

God has a people today and we have to find them and join ourselves to them. They will not be a part of Christendom.....having no beliefs in common.

Jesus has had ALL authority in heaven and earth since He said he did 2000+ years ago.
Nothing happened in 1914. We await His return.

16But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated to them. 17And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. 18And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

I can help you--
JWs teach that he came back invisibly in 1914. They had predicted his return in 1874 but that didn't happen, so it was changed to 1914 and that didnt happen so they made it an INVISiBLE return.
Hard to argue with invisible huh? Nope. Jesus warned us!! See other post for verses :)
Jesus is who we obey! Not man nor angels who contradict Him.
They say that Jesus chose them as best church and that they are the "sole channel of communication"
run. pheart

Jesus is inside all of us right now. "Pray constantly," Paul told us (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Keep in mind this: They had him murdered the first time he visited us. Is there any reason to believe he wouldn't be murdered again if he appeared in our lifetime?

No because when He comes back He runs the world. That's what scripture says anyway

Like I say, he is here, inside each of us. We can talk to him all day, as Paul instructed (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Yes but what you seem to omit is that one day Jesus will actually return and physically rule the world. That's something I as a Christian am excited for. It's a shame other Christians like yourself aren't looking forward to same.

No, not yet. But it won’t be long. Jesus won’t return until this happens first:
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

- Matthew 24:14

And also this:
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

- 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
