This was the "Why only us?" question I had to grapple with as a young adult.

Is it true? Heaven is only for Christians? What does that even mean?

If only Christians go to Heaven, then I'd rather go to Hell.

What's wrong with this picture?

"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Rom 10:9)

It's pretty cut and dry. Without accepting Jesus, there is no way to get into heaven. It's not about us; it's about Jesus. We are not more deserving than anyone else. We simply made a free-will choice that is available to all.

People think that God should be all-inclusive, but it doesn't work that way. Sin cannot coexist in the presence of a holy God. There has to be an atonement, which is the whole reason why Jesus came to the earth.

There's a version of that that goes something like, "Your heaven is my hell." I think there is some truth to that statement, which is why there has to be a separation between those who are willing to serve God and those who won't. Those who are in rebellion toward God would never be content in heaven, and there would always be contention.

It means that to go there, to exist there, as "seated in Heavenly places" "in Christ", you have to become a.... born.. .again... "Son/Daughter" of God who created Heaven.

There are 2 Spiritual "Fathers", and one of them is in Heaven, so to become HIS "born again Child", you must do what Jesus told you to do.

A.) Jesus said...>"You must be born again".

Reader, If you're not..if you're just water baptized and very religious, then God has not become your "new birth".. Spiritual Parent.

And had you figured it out, you would have posted a Thread that explained what you understood, instead of posting another QUESTION Thread..... that proves you once again dont have any answer yet, but are still trying to figure it all out.

I don't think that's the reason why someone would say: "Your heaven is my hell." Or...

"If only Christians go to Heaven, then I'd rather go to Hell."

Available to all? Did everyone everywhere throughout history have that opportunity? (nope)

You presume a lot within your accusatory tone. @St. SteVen

Will you also blame God for all that you don't understand?

Calvinist's always blame God.. as they are directed to do it.

So, here is a response., that you might consider.

"""" For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways"""""

Maybe they did. There are three groups of people who have ever lived:

Those who have heard the gospel and responded to it. Only their works are judged, but not their salvation.
Those who have heard the gospel and rejected it. They are judged and condemned to eternally atone for their own sins.
Those who have died in ignorance.

The third group is really what you're getting at. Is there a pathway for them to be saved? I don't know, perhaps. They will certainly be judged, and claiming ignorance will not enough save them. So, they can only be judged on what they knew and how they responded to it. God is revealed through nature (Rom 1:20), and we are all born with a conscience (Rom 2:14–15). I suspect how they responded to that limited revelation will have a bearing on how they are judged. Rather they heard the gospel or not, they were still presented with a choice.

Jesus is Salvation.

Their is only one ""Pathway""".. and that is = "Jesus said, i am the (only) WAY" John 14:9

There is your pathway, and there is no other, including water baptism ritual.

So, the question isn't about pathways..... and its not about "but those people who live in Treehouses, in undiscovered forests, in the land of time forgotten"......I saw it on National Geographic..."""""""

The question is......why do you have no FAITH in GOD,??? As when you can't believe that God can find a way to get a Prophet inside a Fish or Whale, to reach the Lost, ...when you read that in the OT, and you also can't BELIEVE that God could find a way to reach people everywhere......at any time..

SO...

The only issue God has, is that people wont BELIEVE, and "without Faith, its impossible to please God".

So you leave a door open for non-Christians to enter heaven on merit? Which you consider choice? Is Jesus the only way then?

And BILLIONS of humans have chosen eternity in Hell, including MANY Bible hating 'Christians' who reject Jesus' several warnings about the EVERLASTING fire.

This was the "Why only us?" question I had to grapple with as a young adult.

Is it true? Heaven in only for Christians? What does that even mean?
Without the big picture nothing makes sense.....

Since God never intended to take humans to heaven in the first place, why did the need arise to do so?
That is the question we have to answer first.

If heaven was only open to Christians, then there has to be a reason why Jews thought that they were going to be “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation”...? (Exodus 19:5-6) Were Jews in expecting to go to heaven? NO! They expected God’s kingdom with Messiah as leader to be established on earth.
Even as Jesus was ascending to heaven, his Jewish disciples asked.....”Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” (Acts 1:6)
They were told to wait in Jerusalem for the holy spirit, which would reveal the big picture to them.

Upon receiving the holy spirit, they finally knew what was going to take place. Throughout his ministry Jesus had tried to tell them things about the kingdom of God, but they didn’t understand. Now they did.
When Jesus said he was going to “prepare a place” for his apostles, they did not grasp that he meant in heaven. He said that ‘where he was going, they could not come just yet’, but that they would serve in the Kingdom of God as “kings and priests” with their Lord and Master as King and High Priest. (Rev 20:6; Heb 3:1)

So, the disciples only discerned that their role would be in heaven from Pentecost onward. But Paul told them that they would sleep in death until Jesus called them home at his return. There was no timeframe placed on that.
No one went to heaven before Jesus, and his apostles and those anointed by holy spirit, (given a “heavenly calling”) would awaken in due time and be called “home” to begin their assignments.

Kings need subjects and priests need sinners for whom to intercede and guide mankind in worship....so who are their subjects......and for whom do they act as priests?......The redeemed human race, whom God originally created to live on earth forever.....his purpose for us has never changed. He chose Christ’s disciples because they were taught by his own son, who in turn was taught by his Father. They are a small number compared with those of the vast majority of mankind who sleep in their graves waiting for Christ to call them to come out. (John 5:28-29) All the dead come from the same place, as all have gone to the same place...”sheol/hades” is the place where all the dead “sleep” peacefully until it is time for the kingdom to restore all things, including all the lives lost over many centuries. People of all nations and faiths who died before Christ came, will be given an opportunity to get to know the true God and to learn his ways.

Those chosen for a place in heaven have a specific role, and that is to be of servce to redeemed mankind.....but for those resurrected back to life on earth, it will be service to God that they render, by assuming the role that they were created for in the first place....that of being God’s representatives on this earth as caretakers of all creation......they have been created with God’s cardinal qualities so as to treat the earth, it’s creatures, as well as each other, as God himself would.

At the end of the 1000 year reign of the kingdom, all will go back to the way it was meant to be in the beginning....fully restored to God’s original purpose. (Rev 21:2-4)

What about the lake of fire?
It is a symbolism of everlasting death.....a condition that only the incorrigibly wicked will suffer....it will remain as the place where all unrepentant, free willed rebels will go in this present judgment period, and in the future, if they decide to pull a stunt like satan and our first parents did...only now we have the annals of our history to attest to the stupidity of such disobedience. There will be no excuse in the future....we will still have free will, but we will have learned through bitter experience, how to drive it.....never to disobey God again.

That is how I believe the Bible paints the big picture.....

"Symbolic" a term commonly used by JW's when they don't like what God said. And that's a LOT! "Death" NEVER means humans 'cease to exist' in the Bible.

Matthew 25
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Revelation 20:10
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
