IF you are but seventy and seven how then could you have been an active or non active presbyterian for seventy and seven years .
WHAT WE CHOOSE to DO to LOVE and to BELIEVE is WHOSE WE ARE .
and no man can decide for us . WE MAKE OUR OWN CHOICE . now with that being said
i cannot help but to also say , CHOOSE YE THIS DAY THE LORD GOD ALL MIGHTY , HIS CHRIST
and embrace HIS EVERY WORD . For man cannot save himself
with man it is impossible but NOT WITH GOD . AND PS , GOD ALREADY LONG AGO CHOSE
how HE WAS GONNA SAVE THE WORLD .
AND EXACTLY BY WHOM and That we must BELIEVE IN THAT ONE . THAT BE JESUS THE CHRIST .
i cant make that choice for anyone . BUT I CAN REMIND AND WARN ALL TO MAKE THAT CHOICE
the RIGHT CHOICE , TO BELIEVE ON HE WHOM GOD DID SEND and GET A NOSE FULL OF THAT BIBLE
to learn HIM WELL .
I never said I was 70.... sometime 70 plus but was born in 1947... you do the math.

I was born.... (a mistake)... and was baptised and as soon as I could understand anything came the Sunday schools and Church attendances and as soon as was appropriate I attended the Communicants classes in preparation to join the church.
In the Presbyterian Church A communicants class is a class for covenant children who would like to become communing members. This class has the same conclusion as the new members class (interviewing for membership) but is geared towards younger children (usually children under 14 who profess their own faith).
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A COMMUNICANTS CLASS?
We believe that God reveals Himself in Scripture through covenants. To the extent that this covenantal relationship is so prevalent within the Old and New Testaments, we believe it is helpful to see that all of God’s revelation can be summarized by its understanding within this Covenant Theology.
In accordance with Scripture, we believe that although young children are born and exist in sin, they are specially marked out from the world, and thus we describe them as “non-communing members” within the visible church. In Chapter 6 of our Book of Church Order there is a helpful
distinction made between the non-communing and communing member of a PCA church.
(1) 6-1 says: “
The children of believers are, through the covenant and by right of birth, non-communing members of the church. Hence they are entitled to baptism, and to the pastoral oversight, instruction and government of the church, with a view to their embracing Christ and thus possessing personally all benefits of the covenant.”
(2) In comparison 6-2 says: “
Communing members are those who have made a profession of faith in Christ, have been baptized, and have been admitted by the Session to the Lord’s Table.” These instructions, principles drawn from Scriptural truths impress upon us the unique responsibility to these children and encourages us to take seriously the work of God in their lives (
see Christ’s example in Matthew 19:13-15).
Families are encouraged to guide and instruct their children concerning sin, redemption, and its application through the Scriptures. Believers’ children should be
, “taught to love God, and to obey and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. When they are able to understand the Gospel, they should be earnestly reminded that they are members of the Church by birthright, and that it is their duty and privilege personally to accept Christ, to confess Him before men, and to seek admission to the Lord’s Supper (PCA Book of Church Order 57-1).”
It is important to note that children who make a public profession of faith and are admitted by the Session to the Lord’s Table are not joining our church. Rather, they are already members (non-communing) by virtue of their birth into a Christian home and are
simply changing their status from non-communing to communing members by a personal profession of faith. This is the culmination of what we have witnessed so many times in the church, during the baptism of our children. The key difference between communing and non-communing membership is that a communicant member of the church is an individual who has made a credible public profession of personal faith and whose life gives evidence of union with Christ Jesus. So I was about 12, maybe 13 when I took the classes and at the end had my first Holy Communion.
When I was in my early teens, my birth mom got very sick and died in 1964. An adult cousin would take me to weekly services... or I would go by myself.
Late teens my dad remarried.... and until the mid 1970s church was a standard.
My adopted mom's dad got sick... he lived with us... and church got spotty.
Mid 1980s my paternal grandmother got sick for 4 years and then died and church go bad as the weekly visits to her slowed them to a stop. a then picked back up irregularily until
1991 I had an accident and fractured the first lumbar vertabra in my back and ultimately
ended up in the hospital with a pulmonary embolism. Testing fot that they told me I was within 11 hours of dieing.
Then there was the issue of problems with the associate pastor who on a Christmas eve service, where this woman called the kids up front and told them about how fast those camels could travel and get the Wisemen to the manger right away.
I wrote a letter asking the minister how he could let her teach such a thing when they never got to the manger and he wrote back and said Yes, He knew... BUT HE FELT IT BEST TO NOT CONFUSE THE PEOPLE. After that church became special occasions...And I dived headlong into 4 major televangelists... weekly..... my ( adopted) mom's
brother got sick and we were caring some for him... then he died in Oct 2003 and my dad who had been sick for 3 or so years died Nov 2003... mom sunk into a depression and church became rare... although she and I still do our offerings and we still are listed on the membership roles... over 50 years now.
I am going to hit post because I am tired of writing all this.
BTW my blood type is o+, I have a horrible distorted leg from the 1991 accident
