I would think the Supreme Court would be willing to take this up before any damage was done. I think Trump most likely can win the election whether he campaigns or not. I have heard it said, though, the Democrats might try to cheat during the election.

Talk last night was the NY court of appeals comes first, then the NY supreme court then SCOTUS.

They are still talking about appealing the verdict ... the attorneys are... so I bet there has not been a thing started.

The law never seems to think there is any urgency.

IMO I think the Immunity Case, that SCOTUS heard in April, is not going to go well for him. My reasoning is that they have not ruled as yet and they know that the 2 court cases that would be affected... ( although yet to be scheduled, thank God) could well have been scheduled and possibly starting next week and be underway when their ruling would happen. Which of course would mean the case would have to run its course.

Now, I do believe that SCOTUS has to rule on their existing cases before they break at the end of June. That is more then 4 weeks away... a week and a half before the sentencing for this records keeping conviction.

Todd Blanch said on Jesse Watters two nights ago that he was on his way to Florida, next day, ... NOT TO WORK ON AN APPEAL BUT TO WORK ON THE NEXT CASE. That is the doc case, that by the grace of God has been put on hold by the judge.

So an appeal for this lost one?????? We could well be half way into the next 4 years on that.

And my gut tells me... I pray I am wrong... that the judge is going to put Trump under house arrest for 6 months, followed by a fine and then probation.... 6 month might get him not attending the GOP convention... but would make him miss the swearing in of the next president in January.

A lot of people want it to be 1 year, so he would be sent to Rikers.... the Secret Service would be forbidden so he would have to endure Solitare Confinement for the entire time.

We shall see... and again I pray I am wrong....

They have already started with these bogus cases... starting with a trial for a woman who claimed she was raped in bergdorf Goodman in the mid 1990s and NY revived a window of opportunity to let her bring the case LONG after SOL ran..... Guilty ... not of rape but sexual misconduct.....

Then this one... where if you pay your attorney you are not allowed to write Attorney fees in the memo.
That was their first complaint. And what exactly did stormy describing porn to the jury have to do with falsifying records? And the testimony of Cohen.... admitting he lied in some of what he said during the trial....
the jury did not care? Ill stop... we all know what happened....

But I am also a lawyer, dedicated to the justice system -- and when someone claims that a trial was "rigged" or "fixed" I want to see the evidence. I can appreciate the premise that your experience in a courtroom certainly weighs heavier than my ignorance. I would like to ask your opinion on these quotes from the news I've seen:

Judge Merchan, who sparked controversy with instructions to the jury that they didn’t need to agree on all elements of an underlying crime that was key to elevating into a felony what would normally be a misdemeanor charge, has set the former commander-in-chief’s sentencing date for July 11.

“Merchan just delivered the coup de grace instruction,” Mr. Turley wrote on X. “He said that there is no need to agree on what occurred. They can disagree on what the crime was among the three choices. Thus, this means that they could split 4–4–4 and he will still treat them as unanimous.”

State law cannot supersede federal law. Federal law requires former presidents secret service, unless they decline. Solitary is for the worst of the worst criminal. It will be appealed. If the Judge does anything to obstruct a presidential election, the Judge could be in trouble.

While I believe my "forever home" is with Yahweh and Yeshua on the New Earth, I still have responsibilities on this old one. I need to take care of my family and those whom I can help along the way. To that end, I participate in the election process that is supposed to put people in office that understand and apply the principles of our founding Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I don't believe I can shirk my responsibilities to family at all - meaning I have to participate and lend my one small voice where I can. At some point, if this current administration remains in charge, things like food, water, shelter and such will be difficult to provide.

Wow. Talk about rigged. also heard that potential Jurors were asked if they support DJT in any way, rejecting them as jurors if they said yes. They can't do that!

If there wasnt a crime then there cant be a conviction.

Giving an improper jury instruction -- if indeed the appellate court decides it was improper -- does not make the trial "rigged." Trial judges make mistakes from time to time despite trying to get the instructions right. You are presuming an intentional misstatement of the law. But there is no precedent in New York jurisprudence one way or another on the legal point.
