To my thinking, a "rigged" trial is one that preordains the outcome by (a) a prosecutor falsifying the material evidence; (b) a Judge intentionally ignoring the rules of evidence to let in evidence favorable to the prosecution that he knows should not have been and/or excluding evidence favorable to the defense that he knows should have been admitted, (c) a jury unanimously flaunting their oath to consider the evidence fairly and impartially, in order to convict based on personal animus or gain. I haven't been shown any of the three.

I just saw the breaking news and have to say I believe it's the right verdict. I just pray for the safety of those jurors knowing what Trump's supporters are capable of.

I know there are Trump supporters on the site but I hope he gets a long sentence.

Far from being a just verdict. Not difficult to believe that supposed Christians revel in an unjust verdict, then dance on the bones of the unborn and openly celebrate homosexuality.

Many so called Christians affected by the outside world, driving their political beliefs while celebrating every against Biblical doctrine.

I find it odd as well, but I think I can explain. In New York, falsifying business records is upgraded from misdemeanor to felony if its purpose is to further a separate crime (an "upgrade offense"). The jury needs to be unanimous on the falsification of business records, and unanimous on the defendant's purpose to further a separate crime -- any separate crime (there were three to choose from in Trump's case). The Judge instructed that whether the jury agrees on which of the three was purposely furthered doesn't matter as long as all 12 jurors conclude that one or more of those three was furthered.

My suspicion is that the verdict is going to be overturned on appeal based on the three choices of a further crime presented to the jury not all qualifying as upgrade offenses, or perhaps due to the lack of clarity on this point in the indictment. But NOT because all jurors didn't have to be unanimous on which one applied. In my humble opinion, the Judge made a mistake here.

Would stop him from campaigning, as well as could keep him from the GOP convention.

I would think the Supreme Court would be willing to take this up before any damage was done. I think Trump most likely can win the election whether he campaigns or not. I have heard it said, though, the Democrats might try to cheat during the election.

He told us God seats those in authority over us. How that comes to be in a Democratic electoral system is through the votes of the people.

In a Monarchy the king or queen are regarded as God's choice,appointment, of that sovereign anointed king or queen.

If we abandon or deny our responsibility to vote in a fair Democracy and instead go with the idea God seats our leaders,we have no argument to sustain that point of view when people's election of their leaders is what seats their leaders.

• Most politicians are people-pleasers rather than God-pleasers
• This whole world is deceived - Revelation 12:9
• Satan is the god of this world - 2 Corinthians 4:4
• We are called to be separate from the world - 2 Corinthians 6:17
• Jesus would not participate in politics today - Tell me, who would Jesus vote for? Biden? Trump? Kennedy?
• Christians are part of God’s kingdom - John 18:36
• We are Ambassadors of Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:20; Philippians 3:20
• There’s no worthy candidate - Luke 14:11
