It sounds to me like you are believing on Christ in a Biblical way. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is your Savior?
you might want to ask him if he believes ITS NECESSARY to BELIEVE JESUS is the CHRIST .
the bahi , is bad news sister as in the inclusive .
they at most will teach partial truths and use those truths
to establish what is NOT TRUE .
read again the third chapter of john verses fourteen through i think twenty or twenty one .
JESUS made real clear what saves and who is saved and who is condmened .
THE WORD BELIEVE HE USED . watch out cause even oprah wimphery herself
can claim JESUS as the savoir and messiah , BUT THEN she turns around
and says all relgions , even athiest know GOD and are coming to GOD in their own way .
Watch out .

Dear @amigo de christo and @Marvelloustime

You can ask me directly anything at any time about my beliefs in the Interfaith Dialogue section of the forum.
Here I can only provide short, summarized answers. This thread is for introduction of me as an individual.
I have been transparent from the very start that I am not a Christian. My religion is the Baha'i Faith.
Therefore, it is natural and expected that some of my views will be different from your views. ;)

I'm visiting this forum to learn, challenge, debate respectfully at the appropriate threads, and make new friends if possible.... everything according to the rules of this forum. I'm interested in the unity of Christians, because the world needs it.

I do not claim to speak in the name of God or on behalf of the Baha'i Faith.
I just share my own understandings.

May God continue to bless you all.

I'm new here.
I look forward to participating and contributing to discussions in a spirit of brotherhood.
I'm 57, Mexican and father of two beautiful grown-up daughters.
My religion is the Baha'i Faith, so I will restrict my participation to the threads where non-Christians can contribute, as per the rules of the forum

Warm regards to you all, brothers and sisters.
Welcome to the forum. Perhaps sometime we may interact here. My best friend for many years was a Mexican who migrated to the U.S illegally years before I met him. By the time we met he was already a naturalized U.S. citizen. He passed away in 2020.

Me parece que habla usted muy bien el ingles.

Are you inviting me to examine this together?
You're stalling, friend.

Please include in your next post evidence from your Baha'i Faith "most holy book" showing that your Baha'i Faith "creator" has stepped up to my Creator's challenge to prove his divinity by declaring the future. If you can't, I'd like to tell you all about Jesus Who is the ONLY way, truth, and life.

Yes, but in a different way than my Christian fellows do. I'm not a Christian, Debp.
I can think in two main differences:

FIRST

I believe that Jesus' Message is what saves and conveys eternal life. It is the Word. So, everytime in the Scriptures I find Jesus referring to Himself, I read it as the Message or Word He incarnates.
By doing what He said (repentance, becoming citizen of the Kingdom with the character He demanded) we express belief in Him and show we have been saved. This "doing" is possible only through the grace of God, which He pours over all person who comes with a contrite heart. In the end, salvation is an underserved gift.

SECOND

I think God's method of salvation (by grace) has been always the same. Before and after Christ's sacrifice. It has been the same for people from all nations and from all religions. So, the different covenants, laws, dispensations, etc. refer to specific ways in which such grace is revealed and understood by the people... but the way humans are saved is the same and has always been the same.

If you would like to know how I think in this regard, we can discuss in the Interfaith Dialogue section of the Forum.

Warm regards
Yes, I realized you are not claiming to be a Christian. I was trying to see what your beliefs about Christ were.

I didn’t know that challenge even existed, Phoneman. I don’t honor my Creator for his ability to declare the future, but for his ability to sustain and bring meaning to my life every day.
In addition, to enable a debate between the two of us, there is no point in asking me to bring you “evidence” from those Scriptures that you reject in advance….
Think: Would a Jew rabbi accept “evidence” about Christ taken from quotes from the New Testament, which he rejects in advance?

If you can't, I'd like to tell you all about Jesus Who is the ONLY way, truth, and life.
I can’t. Tell me about Jesus.

This is very sad my friend . what concerns me most is that due to the teachings within christendom
most will no longer even try and point you to CHRIST , rather they will just hug you and try and get along
As for me , I actually do care for your soul . SO i must warn you you are in dire and deadly grave danger .
This religoin you follow is false and the end of it will be destruction .
It is time , today is the day to heed the true gospel , to believe on JESUS the CHRIST
and to learn the scripture well for yourself . SO many within even christendom no longer
even know what christendom has lost nor that they are still lost .
Many no longer even know what love is .
IF a child was desiring to skate on thin ice
and i just allowed the child to do so , KNOWING FULL WELL THE ICE WAS THIN and THAT CHILD was in danger
TELL ME where was my LOVE for that child when i said nothing to him to stop him .
Its the same for you my friend . I SEE the deadly danger you are in and the end of it is the second death
SO i warn you with upmost urgency to repent to BELIEVE ON JESUS THE CHRIST and get into the bible
to learn for yourself .

It is reassuring to read that you don't want my destruction. Thanks for that.
Well, I don't want my destruction either.
But more importantly, Almighty God does not want my destruction!
So, I don't skate in fear, but in joy and serenity.

I feel infinitely and undeservedly blessed by my Creator. I have felt this since I was a little child.
Whatever the destiny God has for me after I die, I will thank Him for it eternally.

I can’t. Tell me about Jesus.
So, 2,700 years ago, my Creator challenged all other supposed “creators” like Allah, Brahma, and the creator worshipped by those of your Baha’i faith, to prove they are indeed divine gods.

The challenge: “Declare unto Us the future, that We may know ye are gods.”

He then immediately gravely insults all other “creators” as false, impotent posers, as well as their followers. He says you, my Baha’i friend, are an “abomination” for following the Baha’i “creator”.

See, the Bible so repeatedly and accurately predicts future events that fulfilled predictions have so perplexed skeptics to the point that they wrongly claim these predictions were actually written down after the fact and inserted into the Bible to give the appearance of divine prophetic ability. Archaeological evidence has shown these claims to be false.

So, if your “creator” has failed to step up to my Creator’s challenge, it is because he is not divine - he is a creature, like you and me, who can’t say for certain what tomorrow will bring, let alone thousands of years beyond, as my Crestor has done over and over.

He is a liar, a deceiver, a wannabe creator - and his true name is Satan, the creature who fell from heaven for attempting to overthrow my Creator’s government in Heaven.

So, 2,700 years ago, my Creator challenged all other supposed “creators” like Allah, Brahma, and the creator worshipped by those of your Baha’i faith, to prove they are indeed divine gods.
Regarding your quote from Isaiah 41:

God could not have challenged Allah for two reasons:
  1. First, because God is Allah (Allah means simply God, or more specifically, The God in Arabic).
  2. Second, because nobody within the audience of Isaiah knew God as Allah.

God could not have challenged Brahman for two reasons:
  1. First, Because God is Brahman. God is the Supreme, Ultimate Reality (Acts 17:28), and Brahman is the Supreme, Ultimate Reality in Hinduism.
  2. Second, because nobody within the audience of Isaiah knew God by the name of Brahman.

God could not have challenged the Creator I worship as Baha'i, for two reasons
  1. First, because I worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God that sent Jesus. The God that Jesus prayed to.
  2. Second, because nobody within the audience of Isaiah knew about the Baha'i Faith.
This is the last time I answer to one of your posts in regard to my Faith in this thread.
If you are interested in exploring what I believe, or debating something within the rules of the Forum, please open a thread in the Interfaith Dialogue section. I will be glad to hold a respectful dialogue with you there.

I am tagging @Angelina in case she has any advice or recommendation to me, to you or to our readers on how to proceed.

This is the last time I answer to one of your posts in regard to my Faith in this thread.
I apologize for my enthusiastic brother and am grateful for your thoughtful replies.

Some here like to debate a little too much. My advice is to use the IGNORE feature as needed.

While I confess that sometimes applies to me, I know not every thread is a debate thread. Not having read all the posts, it sounds like you have practiced your faith a long time.

I raised 4 beautiful girls and am now blessed with 18 grandchildren, including from my 2nd marriage. I appreciate you.

What a blessing, Wrangler!
I raised 2 beautiful girls, now 29 and 28, but have no grandchildren yet. I am also in a second marriage.
I've heard that the state of grandparenthood is the happiest state of man. Is that true? :)

Hard to say. I’ve lived joyfully in every stage. There is something to especially enjoy in each stage.

As I enter the twilight of my life, the satisfaction that my ego (sense of self) has expanded from this one God given body to many. Seeing this geometric expansion to the 3rd generation is profoundly humbling.

To see me in them and my daughters in them is a continuity of the circle of life that I pray everyone experiences.

Perhaps the answer to your question is yes. Stubbornly refusing wisdom for decades, I find it as I slow down pursuit and behold the many manifest blessings of our Creator.

Brother @amigo de christo is right. We must believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. Jesus is the only way to be saved and have eternal life. We cannot guarantee tomorrow, or even the next minute. There are two possible ways of leaving this world. Dying or the Lord’s return. The Lord could return any moment. Read the Bible and learn it well for yourself.
